HERCULES ROOFING

In early 201t5 the prior owner of the house I purchased in July of 2015 used Hercules Roofing to put up a brand new roof. I learned in February of 2018 that the work done to create the new roof was shoddy. I realized shortly after giving birth to my daughter that there were rats living in my attic. Which is a very bad environment for any newborn. After spending thousands of dollars on a rat exterminator, insulation removal, a clean up crew for cleaning and sanation, new insulation, and temporary patchworks, I called up Hercules Roofing to have them make good on their warrantee but they did not. They took no responsibility for the holes in the valley by stating that prior to putting up the new roof thee problem existed with wood supporting the roof. In other words pre-existing roof holes. Wouldn't a decent roofing outfit make sure supporting beams and whatever else a roof needs before going up is perfect? Pre-existing roof holes????? What a joke and the joke is on the buyers. If you love rats and the diseases they spread, and you love shoddy work then hire this outfit! I am guessing the 5 star ratings on here for this con artist company comes directly from the con artists with a vested interest in the company.. Shame on Hercules Roofing!

My experience with Hercules Roofing was excellent. They explained the process, answered all my questions, arrived on time, worked diligently in the hot sun with no unnecessary noise, left my property in immaculate condition, and met all their commitments. I highly recommend Hercules Roofing.

We're really happy with Hercules Roofing's work & customer service. Gil & Wayne really went out of their ways to make sure my wife and I were happy with the new roof. Having dealt with three previous roof installs in other properties I know how hard it is to find a good roofing company. If you're looking for a roofing contractor look no further than Hercules Roofing.

It leaked again within a matter of months in the same area! I contacted the owner regarding the leak, and didn't expect to pay because the work was supposed to be covered by warranty. Owner Gil Stein and Operations Manager Wayne Franklin refused and pointed out that the leak came from the upper valley, and said the patched up hole wouldn't have worked anyway. The bottom line is, their argument was illogical. They quoted the repairs to be $2588 on top of what I had paid months ago. I hired another roofer with 40 years of experience, and he was stunned with the SHODDY work performed by Hercules Roofing, and was stunned by the price they quoted me for. Pictures are attached. Put simply, AVOID THIS COMPANY! They wouldn't honor warranty agreement and would come up with various excuses to make you pay more. Hercules Roofing is run by corrupt, unethical, immoral people. They're not worthy of any recognition by anyone. I will also file reports against the company to various entities. BEWARE of this company!

Gil and his crew at Hercules Roofing were amazing. <br> <br>The price was more than fair and the service was excellent. Hercules Roofing stuck by the estimate they had given, and didn't cost me a penny more. They handled all the permitting necessary, gave me a schedule of work beforehand and completed the work faster than I expected. The communication was excellent and the final product even more so. <br> <br>I highly recommend Hercules Roofing. Over the course of 18 years as a homeowner (and a few homes) in South Florida, working with Hercules Roofing was simply the best experience I've had with any type of contractor on any type of project. <br>

Waye, Gill and the whole team came back to us with a great plan that was more than fair. They were honest, quick, punctual and effective. 

Gil at Hercules Roofing did a great job. A whole new roof was put on our 20,000 sq ft. commercial property. We have a 30 yr manufacturers warranty. They also installed skylights & air vents. I couldn't be more pleased. Gil was on the job and in contact with me throughout the process. He kept to every thing promised and more. Very Honest. <br /> Also, In 2010 he put a full tile roof on my home and it's been 6 yrs and no issues whatsoever. Thank you for your work. I highly recommend this company. <br />

It was okay. I got my roof repaired, but it didn't solve the problem completely. They only did one part of the roof. They don't work on the other type. I didn't know that information beforehand. As far as the work, they did fine. The repair cost was $1800. I had two leaks actually. One was on a slant and one was on a flat part of it. They told me that by fixing the flat part of it, I should not be getting any leak on the slant. But, after repairing it, I was still getting the leak on the slant. It didn't really solve my problem. They solved the first leak, which was good. But, the slant one, it didn't work. When I started to engage with them, they were like they don't work on the slant but would have a look at it. They had a look at it but they said that they cannot work on the slant part of it and that I would have to get somebody else. After spending all this money thinking that I'm solving my leak problem, I really didn't get my leak problem solved completely. So I wasn't happy about it.

They came out and were professional and courteous and did a very good job fixing the leak. They cleaned up each day after the work and even cleaned up the dark brown stains from the leak off of the walls at the end. I really appreciated that. I highly recommend them. <br />

Contractor arrived same day to provide quote and returned in 2 days to complete work. Prompt and professional. Cannot gauge price as this was the only quote requested.

We had a dripping from the ceiling in our kitchen. <br /> After searching in Angieslist.com, I contacted Hercules Roofing on Fri. 10/17/2014, and was told that the manager would call back and most likely come here next week to assess the problem. <br /> On Saturday 10/18/2014, and employee of Hercules Roofing, named Arnold, arrived at our house at 9:00 AM and installed a tarp to cover the area of the roof where the leak most-likely came from. <br /> Between mid-October and early February, there were no more leaks due to the tarp. <br /> We had the interior of the house tested for moisture by a water mitigation service that was recommended by our insurance company. They installed several blowers and a big dehumidifier to dry the moisture in the ceilings, walls and floors in the area of the kitchen. It was a week of constant loud noise, as if we were flying in a jet with the windows open! <br /> The insurance sent 2 different inspectors, and then took their sweet time sending us a check to repair the damage of the interior, but would not compensate for the roof repair, as they claimed it was "owner neglect" that caused the leak. Apparently, the policy we have "specifically excludes coverage for damage arising out of wear and tear <em>('cause you KNOW how often we walk around on the barrel tile roof!), deterioration ('Decline in the quality of equipment or structures over a period of time due to the chemical or physical action of the environment'.), and lack of maintenance (anyone who has a barrel tile roof KNOWS how often you must scrub and cleanse and protect our roofs from sun, heat and moisture!)</em> ". <br /> Finally, once the co-signed check came back for the insurance company so that we could deposit it and call Hercules Roofing to repair the roof <em>(It took them almost a month to sign the darn check!)</em>, I called Hercules Roofing on Wed. 01/28/2015, and Wayne Franklin, Service Manager called back that he would come tomorrow morning to see what needs to be done. <br /> On Thurs. 01/29/2015, 9:30 AM, Wayne arrived, did his inspection, and told me he would email the estimate for repairs by the next day.  I received the estimate at 5:00 PM that afternoon. <br /> I signed the agreement, scanned the sheet, and emailed it back to him on Friday morning. He called to confirm that he received the form and to tell me he would send a team to do the repairs late Monday around noontime, 02/02/2015. <br /> The team arrived on time, removed the tarp, removed some tiles to find the problem and found that the sealer material below the tiles had torn <em>(y'know, from all that walking around we do up on the roof all the time)</em>. They sealed the problem up, replaced the tiles and cleaned up ALL the debris and removed it to their truck, and collected the check for the payment of the job. <br /> Everyone I spoke to or had actual contact with was a pleasure to talk with and do business with. <br /> ...FAST, PLEASANT, CLEAN, HONEST, REASONABLY-PRICED, AND ON TIME. <br /> <br />

Excellent customer service. On time for appointment and professional service. Kept in touch with us on status of repairs, explained problem thoroughly and showed us the problem area in the roof. I would use this provider again. <br />

As a best practice, I called three different top rated roofing companies on Angie's List. Out of all three, Hercules Roofing spent the most time on the roof and provided me with significantly more detail about the roof, the drip pan and state of the roof then all the other companies. Originally I was thinking the best option for our flat roof was to replace it. Upon getting an estimate for the repair, and one for the replacement, I was leaning toward the replacement option which was thousands more.  <br /> I called the front office and the person who I called for was not there but the person who answered was a big help. He really answered a lot of my questions and actually recommended doing some roof maintenance to extend the life of the roof. I was also informed that most commercial companies who have flat roofs often decide to maintain them rather than replace them. After about a 45 min call, the person on the other line informed me that he was the owner, Gil, which was really surprising.  <br /> Through it all, Gil recommended the lower price option (the roof maintenance / repair) over the higher cost option and he recommended using a commercial grade material which they use on commercial jobs and had some from a recent job. <br /> Once I accepted the proposal, the two workers arrived the next day (first day of good weather in some time) and completed the work in two days. <br /> Both guys who did the work were on time, very easy to talk with and worked hard. <br /> When the work was done, the workers cleaned up and no mess was left in the yard from their work. <br /> All in all, I would highly recommend anyone who needs roofing work to call Hercules Roofing. <br />

Had a leak in the flat roof that is about 15 years old.  They replaced the bad wood, redid the roof and replaced the shingles to tie the roofs together.   I haven't gone up to look at it but the inspector said it looked good and passed.  I had questions while the work was being done and called Gil and expressed my concerns and he immediately contacted them and my questions were answered and my concerns remedied.  Thank you Gil. <br />

I had a couple of shady looking spots on my room's ceiling, so i called Hercules, after seeing their good reviews here on Angie's. Wayne showed up, inspected the spots as well as the remaining parts of the entire second story, and finally the exterior. He reported the stain was likely old, explaining the characteristics of different types of stains. Of course he said to call him if the stain changed, If it does, Ill keep the community posted. <br />
