Heritage Masonry

Went very well. Tom and Brian are respectful. They are professional, courteous, honest and very detailed and helpful in explaining the work that needed to be done. We have dogs and Tom and Brian respectfully made sure they stayed in out fenced in yard when we were not home. The work turned out excellent and much needed for our home.

Mr Tom Dootz, owner of Heritage Masonry, performed the work..  He responded to an urgent, late season request to do concrete restoration on corner of our block-walled house after a handyman had identified crumbling blocks.  This was a complex fix involving reforming the corner. Mr. Dootz was prompt, responsive and arrived at the jobsite prepared and on time.  He was professional, neat and efficient.  His prices were reasonable.  We would definitely use him again. <br />

It went pretty well, he did more then was first quoted and worked very hard. Overall it turned out well. The building is still settling. Part of the job was to paint and some of that is already coming off. <br />

Overall we were very satisfied with both this work in 2004 and his previous work (general re-pointing) in 2002.  The counter cracked in 7 places within 2 months of the work being done but the cracks have not changed over the past 8 years.  The re-pointing work has held very well since it was done in 2002.  Minor issues- needed to remind or point out some areas overlooked in the 2002 re-pointing work.  In the 2004 work there seemed to be some hardware & wood substitutions.  Heritage was there every day; their work has held up good.  Would not hesitate to recommend.   <br />

I contacted Tom in late summer about a chimney repair; he said he was in the middle of another job but would complete work before winter; he called before arriving; and finished the work as promised in October.

The steps were made out of molded concrete. It was an unusual job. Tom Doutz was quite careful in planning and executing the job. It took a little longer than we expected but when it was done, it was wonderful. He was excellent. I would recommend him.
