Heritage was a great choice of the 3-4 other companies I interviewed and priced. At that time many companies wanted to lease the panels to us, after some research I felt buying would work best for us. I still think so. Plans were drawn up presented to the city, our electrical box was upgraded to go with the system. I wanted 85% replacement energy. This past year we produced more than we used and banked some savings. Payoff will be this year or next. company was quick and clean. Dennis Epps the President was involved the whole time. presently I think the company is not in business as I know of.

They did a good job. In retrospect, I would have leased the solar instead of purchased it. They were very nice and were very effective. I also have had other solar companies do solar projects for me for different houses, that one was probably five or six years ago. Lease is a better option for me, I think because you don't pay anything upfront, you just get a lease. They were very nice and very efficient. If I had it to do over, I would use sun-power solar panels instead of the ones they use which are stronger panels and I would have leased them. They were very good but since that time and maybe that wasn't available at that time but since that time, I've learned that leasing is a much better option. I don't know if they do leases now. I didn't compare cost to a lot of people at that time. They were very nice. They were very responsive and were very efficient. I would use them again only if they lease.

It was $52,000 but then with all the rebates, it actually dropped by over $20,000. With the way I am saving electricity, it will pay itself off in seven to eight years. I was having $300 plus a month electricity bills almost all year, and now in my last bill they owed me a penny! In the last two years my total electricity bill has been about $40. So all that money that I would have spent, like $4000, goes to paying off the bill. They are really good. And the panels are guaranteed 25 years.
