They were hired to build a 4’ by 16’ external staircase with a 4’ by 4’ platform half way. For some reason, the stairs were only 3 foot wide and the railings were attached to the side instead of on the actual steps. This resulted in the railing height being below code. In addition, the upper flight had an unusual angle to the railing. They added an arbitrary post in the middle of the upper staircase making it look wonky. They harvested connecting pieces from extra vinyl railings (We paid for all materials) that we had planned on returning at a cost to us of $500. When I asked why they didn’t simply order the pieces they needed, we were told they didn’t want to wait the extra two or three days for the parts to come in. They are both very nice man however I would not hire them to do any work other than concrete.

"we were told by the home owner to use existing railings and we also stated that we could order the products but it was to or 3 weeks to get them not 3 day however we did ask every step of the project about any changes or if they were happy or like the stuff we were doing and at the end we even ask how they liked it the indicated they were happy however I'm very sorry they feel unhappy with the work we try to take pride in our work and we ask if there was anything to change before we leave each jod"
