This was the only company that truly listened to my desires and made sure to explain all possible options and limitations that could lie ahead. They have a trustworthy, courteous and hardworking group of craftsman. The end was everything and more than I was hoping for. While they were not the cheapest pricewise, the cost is worth it in the end. You made my family very happy and proud of our new kitchen. Thank you!‎

The walls were in excellent shape already all they had to do was repaint the walls and trims on 4 different rooms. Im very pleased with the outcome and professionalism.

I have hired High Def before and was very pleased with their services so i hired them again to stain and polyurethane the hand rails and paint the balusters of a staircase. Job was done in a very professional manner. I recommend them anytime and will hire again in the future

Gil last contacted me about a week ago asking me to write him a review on Angieslist about my experience with his company High Def painting Inc. They painted my house in June of 2009 and to be honest the price was a bit higher than the 2 other estimates I had received. My husband and I made a decision to go with High Def  because of how neatly he described his work and his reputation. They painted both the interior and exterior of our home. Through out the whole length of time they were here which was about a month and a couple of weeks, they all were very polite, courteous and respectable of my entire family. The painting was done 5 years ago and to this date we are very happy to have High Def painting be the ones to do the job. So far there are no paint flacks or fade in color.  I recommend this company anytime, not just for the quality of work, but for their characters and charisma. After negotiating the date and time, arrived on-time, quickly got to work and the did job as planned.  Very polite and professional.  Would hire again. <br />

Very polite, professional, and on time. Took care of everything like moving and covering furniture, patching nail holes, removing outlet covers, etc. And everything was cleaned up and put back afterwards, including the furniture. Very good quality painting and it felt like it was fast, too. Great job!! <br />

High def painting was mentioned to me when i told a friend of mine that i was planning to repaint my whole house on the inside. She mentioned that Gil had done a terrific job for her in the past and that i shouldnt pursue any other painting contractor if i were to move forward with this. I called Gil and since the start he was very friendly and listened very well. He gave me a detailed estimate and walked me thru the whole approach. I budged for while before i contacted him again. Him and his crew painted over all my old stained trims and made them look brand new white semigloss. The walls were also in bad shape, they had to skim coat over many rooms before they actually started priming and painting the final coat. Over all, it has been 3 years since he painted and to the date, it looks fantastic, best choice i made was to go with High def painting. I highly recommend them to all my friends and family when they need painting or carpentry around the house. And i would say to anyone looking for a professional contractor, to look no further, you have found true reliable professionals. <br /> <br />

Gil showed up early with his crew as scheduled and worked with them until the painting was completed. They painted the ceiling,walls and trims in my kids playroom down the basement. Everything was done the same day. I really like how the colors came out and their professionalism was impressive. They were very polite and nice. I strongly recommend them if you are looking for a professional painting company that you can trust. <br />

Gil and his team at High-Def Painting did excellent work at a great value.  They provided a prompt and very reasonable estimate after viewing the home and gathering the necessary information.  They responded promptly to all questions before and during the project and did a great job of providing updates on their progress throughout the work.  They provided extra carpentry work beyond the scope of the original estimate when they discovered that more extensive shingle repair was needed, and they did so without additional charge to us.  They were always courteous and kept the area around the home as tidy as possible throughout the job.  When work was delayed due to bad weather, they let us know as soon as they could and worked to complete their work in the rough timeframe provided at the start of the job.  And, most importantly, the finished product -- our newly-painted home -- looks fantastic.  We'd hire Gil and his team again without hesitation and would recommend him to friends and family. <br />

<p>They matched the stain we have on our back door that we like very much. It went petty smooth, they were here early the two days they were here and left late. No complaints, they were very polite, courteous and respectful just as before. Thanks Gil for a job well done!</p>

Our Bathroom was plain white, and we wanted to some light shades of blue in there. Gil brought a color swatch from Benjamin Moore and helped us choose a color. Just as before, the job came out perfect. Highly recommend high def painting, and will hire them again in the future for other projects around the house.

The painting job was handled very professionally.  Good prep work and excellent attention to detail.  Gil was a very good communicator.  Gil and his assistant Gladson  worked hard - no excess time spent hanging around, talking on the phone etc. They were neat workers who left the job site in very good order. Gil's price was a little higher than the 3 other companies we called to estimate the job, but after he explained why his pricing was a little higher than many other companies on the market, we decided to go with his company High def painting. He carefully showed us some recent project photos that differentiates his company from the rest and as we were  little skeptical about some bad reviews he recently got, he also explained that it was because he got overwhelmed with work and some people even though they were getting 2 rooms painted for 200$, they couldn't wait after he was finished with his exterior projects .  We are very happy with High def painting and definitely would recommend them with no reservations.

Gil did a nice job on our room. Admittedly, we have an old house so the walls are in rough shape. We bought the big deal 2 rooms of painting for $200 and had him paint only 1 of our rooms due to it being just slightly larger than the deal allowed. Scheduling was a tad difficult due to the volume of requests he's received on the Angie's list deal. However, he actually was able to come earlier than our scheduled project date due to a rain out on an exterior job he is doing.  He even did some minor trim painting and caulking for no additional charge and without complaint. Overall the job took about 3 hours and Gil was very professional, courteous, and polite. Be prepared to provide your own paint, roller pads, caulk, and misc. items related to the job to provide aggravation. My wife and I had already prepped the room by spackling/sanding and putting down paper to avoid messy floors. Do not expect a vacuuming or to be treated like this is a $1000+ job, but you will not be disappointed either.  <br /> Overall not an A but not a B considering the value of this deal and Gil's professionalism. B+ is spot on <br />

I bought the big deal, 2 rooms of painting for 199 and gave 3 or 4 dates that would work for me. I heard back from someone at High-Def a day or so later asking when I wanted to schedule for. I pointed to the times I had already asked for and settled on the next Monday. <br /> The next Monday rolled around and hours go by with no painters and no call or email. I emailed asking what was going on and I was told that his van broke down and got towed. Could we reschedule? I agreed to the next Monday. <br /> The next Monday rolls around and again, hours go by with no painters, no call and no email. I left many voicemails with no return call and finally emailed again. I received an email that said his van broke down and had to be towed. WHAT?!??! The a few minutes later an email that said it was still broken and that is why he couldn't show up (and couldn't call or email..???) So, I figured 3 strikes and you're out... I will give him one more shot. We settled on the next Monday. <br /> Wednesday night I get an email from him stating that he has a sudden opening (sudden opening? I thought you weren't working because your van was broken and you were trying to buy another?), can he come tomorrow (Thursday). I agreed and prepared to wait again. <br /> On Thursday 2 guys show up in a truck, neither of which is the person I have been talking to (whom I still don't know his name...they just call him the boss) and they start to work. First they have no spackle to fix any small holes, do I have any. Then a bit later I find they have no rollers....not sure how they were planning to paint. <br /> A few hours later the job was finished. It was an ok job, nothing to write home about and with all the frustration that went along with it, not good enough by far. <br /> I never did meet or talk to the person who owns the company and I wanted him to quote a couple other rooms that needed painting and I had a bunch of new trim that needed to be stained but there is no chance I would hire them again.  <br /> <br /> <br />

Very good communication skills and very knowledgeable on the trade. They primed and painted the house beautifully. Worked very hard through out the whole project and always very clean and neat. There was never a mess and they always maintained the work site very clean, which was a big plus on my opinion. Gil suggested a maritime grade paint to go the PVC trim boards. He said it would cost more but would last a lot longer than regular would. I highly recommend High def painting, they did an amazing work at my house.

HIGH DEF PAINTING INC was hired by the builder to paint the interior and exterior of my house. I had a close relation with Gil since I bought the home early in the building process and was able to get everything done specifically to my desires. Gil took his job very serious and was always on the job with 7 other painters through out the whole job. They provided an amazing work and everything looks beautiful and to my specifications. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality versus price. <br />

THe provider repainted walls, ceilings and trims. They need to oil prime some of the walls and ceilings and correct the plaster due to some water leakage we had this past winter. They were clean and courteous. We will use them again for our future painting needs.

I initially got in contact with Gil through a friend of mine that referred him to me since he was local. When I called him up he was very courteous and polite. He came to look at the house that same day later in the day. He took notes down as I showed him around and asked precise questions about the work. He said the estimate would come through the next day. I had previously got 2 other quotes for the job, and I have to admit he was a little higher than the two other contractors. Since my friend referred him to me and he seemed so much more organized and professional, I decided to go with High Def Painting. They started Monday morning as Gil had promised me (him and 3 other painters). They began by priming all the walls, ceilings, and all woodwork with a high quality primer. The second day, they began to spray all the ceilings and then fine sand everything down, and oh boy was that a lot of work. They were sanding for 2 days straight. Then they began caulking the woodwork and correcting the plaster. Then they spray-painted all the woodwork including all the doors as well. The walls weren't sprayed, they cut them in and rolled them. After they were done, Gil did a walk through with me and explained in details all he did, as I initially mentioned to him I wanted 100% job as I am very picky. All the woodwork was very smooth and looked amazingly beautiful. The walls were also very smooth and their cut ins were very straight. Unfortunately when the painting was done, the floor guys came in to do the floors and the electricians as well. They weren't too careful and ended up damaging some walls and trims. After they were done I called Gil and he mentioned that this usually happens very often in renovations and new construction jobs, and that he would come in and do all the touch-ups free of charge and that I didn't have to worry about a thing. He did as promised and now I have a beautiful house that my family and I can enjoy for a very very long time. Thanks to High Def Painting for the amazing work, professionalism, attention to detail and above all honesty and integrity. I highly recommend them above all others, you really can't go wrong.
