Jay was great. My steel security door rusted off it's frame and he came up with a creative way to reuse the existing door and saved us several hundred dollars. Also was very responsive, showed up when he said he would, and finished the same day.

Jay & Eddie were great !! they helped me finish a exterior stormdoor that I had installed a few month ago.I ran it to a little problem door frame was not true square. Door was sagging and quite not aligned. Jay called within minutes came out and got the job done! Thank you!

Jay came for leaky windows issue - 4th floor of condo building. Let's ignore the fact that Jay did a great job! Jay did more than that. I truly and deeply appreciate how he easily and clearly explained to me the problem at hand, the causes, and the remedy he was going to undertake to get this task done. I'm so use to the "... I'm here, where's the problem... ok - work is done.." treatment. Jay & company will be my go-to. You will not be upset in doing the same!

The experience with the contractor, Jay Roma, has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating from start to finish. It all began when I hired Jay Roma to install a storm door at my residence. Initially, I had high hopes for a smooth and professional installation process, as I had done a thorough research and believed Angie's List would connect me with a reliable contractor. However, right from the beginning, I noticed signs of incompetence and a lack of attention to detail. Jay Roma arrived unprepared and seemed unfamiliar with the specific instructions and requirements for the storm door installation. Despite my attempts to provide clear directions and emphasize the importance of proper installation, he disregarded key guidelines and proceeded with a careless approach. During the installation, it became apparent that Jay Roma lacked the necessary expertise and skills to handle the job effectively. He failed to align the door parts correctly, resulting in misplacements and structural issues. Moreover, the retractable screen, which was a significant feature I specifically chose the door for, was mishandled and damaged during the installation process. The screen now has unsightly holes and is no longer fully functional. Additionally, I must highlight that the storm door installed by Jay Roma exhibits a significant flaw at the bottom. There is an unacceptable gap between the door and the floor, which compromises the intended function of providing insulation and security. This gap not only undermines the effectiveness of the storm door but also creates an unsightly and inconvenient situation. Adding insult to injury, Jay Roma disregarded the cautionary sign on the door explicitly stating not to install screws in that particular area. Ignoring this warning, he proceeded to install screws right next to it, causing further damage to the retractable screen and undermining the integrity of the door. When I attempted to address these concerns with Jay Roma, his response was dismissive and unprofessional. He refused to take responsibility for his mistakes and made minimal efforts to rectify the issues. Instead of offering a satisfactory resolution, he tried to convince me that the damages were minimal or non-existent, despite clear evidence to the contrary. In addition to the faulty installation and damages, Jay Roma's overall workmanship and professionalism were far from satisfactory. The door did not open properly and only allowed for an acute angle, making it inconvenient and impractical to use. This limitation made it challenging to enter or exit the property comfortably and restricted the transportation of furniture or large items through the door. Furthermore, I discovered plaster marks on my front steps, which were a direct result of Jay Roma's negligence during the installation process. These unsightly marks have significantly detracted from the overall appearance of my property, further highlighting the lack of care and attention given to the job. Lastly, I want to emphasize that there is a missing handle for the retractable screen door. Upon inspection, I discovered an empty opened box where the handle should have been. This missing component further demonstrates the lack of attention to detail and the careless approach taken by Jay Roma during the installation process. Despite numerous attempts to communicate and address the issues with Jay Roma, he displayed a lack of accountability, professionalism, and commitment to rectifying the situation. It is evident that he is not willing to take responsibility for his actions or provide a satisfactory resolution to the problems caused by his work. As a result of this disappointing experience, I am left with a damaged storm door, compromised functionality, and additional expenses to fix the damages caused by Jay Roma. I am now seeking legal assistance to pursue the appropriate recourse and ensure that I am adequately compensated for the losses incurred. Furthermore, it is essential for me to acquire Jay Roma's legal name and accurate address to pursue legal actions effectively. As mentioned earlier, the address he initially provided on his website turned out to be false, leading to a house that is currently on the market. This discrepancy raises concerns about his credibility and accountability. I request Angie's List to provide me with the correct legal information of Jay Roma to proceed with legal recourse. Given the cumulative issues experienced with the storm door installation, including the improper alignment, damaged retractable screen, the gap at the bottom, and the missing handle, it is evident that Jay Roma's work does not meet professional standards. I kindly request Angie's List's assistance in resolving these matters promptly and ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to rectify the situation. Overall, the entire interaction with Jay Roma has been a nightmare, characterized by incompetence, negligence, and a complete disregard for professionalism. It serves as a reminder of the importance of thoroughly vetting contractors and the need for accountability in the industry.
