About us
At higher ground arboriculture, tree care practices are founded in good science. My approach is to manage a tree that performs the functions intended for the site. It is important to maintain trees to a suitable, stable form, through efforts to reduce the likelihood of failure, which can sometimes be catastrophic. Tree failures can be avoided by implementing adequate and formative measures to prevent failures. Trees fail during normal weather conditions, including typical storms in the North Texas region. In my understanding of tree biomechanics, often tree failures are predictable and preventable due to potentially obvious or visible defects or conditions that can lead to failure. As an arborist my objectives are pointed toward prevention and being proactive to reduce the likelihood of failure, keeping your trees healthy, and aesthetically pleasing.

He’s incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through the health of my trees, explaining what was going on and what steps we could take to keep them thriving long-term.

Warren was great! He explained the tree pruning process and completed the work efficiently and at a reasonable price given the amount of work I needed. He also did a nice job of cleaning up once he completed the work. I will definitely use him again in a couple of years.

He started pruning back some of the trees. He came out one day and NEVER came back to finish the job or clean up the area. I wanted him to finish the project and haul off the limbs. Now, I am gonna have to fix the issue myself, and I have very bad arthritis. I will NEVER use him again or give him ANY recommendation to future clients.

"Dear Future Client, In rebuttal to this false account of events, the following is directly from an email I sent the former disgruntled client upon notification of her intention to slander me here. Carvonda, I apologize for you being unhappy with my service. Before I left your property on Tuesday evening, I sent you a text message stating that I would be back Thursday (being yesterday 3/5). You didn't reply, so I thought you were fine with that. I received your text message yesterday asking how much you owe me and stating that you will find someone else to finish the job. Unfortunately, there was a communication breakdown between us. Again, I apologize, and thank you for the opportunity to try to serve your landscaping needs. I was nothing but professional throughout trying to rectify the situation through an Angi Customer Solutions mediator."

Shrub Trimming or Removal Service
Warren from Higher Ground Arboriculture completely overhauled my flower beds. I had bushes growing together that were 16-17 years old, had never been pruned and needed to come out. He removed all the old scrubs and planted beautiful boxwoods. Before, my house looked haunted, and now with the cleaned up yard, it looks cheerful. Fantastic, professional work! Definitely recommend.

Prompt response to my “Please contact me request”. Warren is knowledgeable, well trained, experienced, and pleasant to work with. The quote was easy to understand, there were no hidden costs, the quote was reasonable, and the quote was sent to me within 24 hours. He arrived on our mutually agreed upon date and time and completed the job. He cleaned up the yard nicely. He is polite, courteous, and was a pleasure to work with. I most definitely will use his services again and I would strongly recommend him to family and friends.

I have dealt with "landscapers" before and am never happy as they are always seemingly trying to get as many jobs done in one day as possible.
If you love your home and care about your property, hire Higher Ground Arborculture. The only way I can describe their work is "finesse" . Not landscapers, architects.
The man that came over was very pleasant to work with. He was very well mannered and very passionate about his work and considerate about my views on my property. His words and work were truly inspiring. Very happy with their service.
Good business is hard to come by these days. It was so delightful to be both treated kindly and delivered a quality service. Huge thumbs up to these folks.

I had some old post oak trees with lots of dead limbs beneath the canopy. My thought was to just cut all the dead limbs right up to the trunk to clean up the trees appearances like my neighbor did with his. Warren said if I did that, they'd likely be dead in a year or two. I took the advice and simply trimmed the parts he advised could go, and left what the tree needed for health. 3 years later, all of the trees my neighbor chainsawed right up to the trunk are dead.
