subcontracted out all the work, poor job, skylights leaked, wouldn't come back to fix it.

There is one more item to be done, which is a strip to be installed on roof to prevent rain from dripping off balcony onto front porch. They have told me that they will install.. This was an additonal request and not part of the quote. They are not requesting payment until this is done. I am surprised since most firms want the final payment (2/3rd) as soon as job is completed.

Terrible. I have used Angie's List several times and have NEVER left a poor review until now.

Very well. Chris Garliss' crew did a neat and thorough job. I could have had this job done for less, but was not impressed with the materials offered by others for the lower cost. I chose top quality materials to maximize the life of the roof. The new shingles are attractive and have good reliability rating. Trim was replaced and the fit looks much better than what was previously there. The job was completed over two very hot days on a large roof, still the team worked hard and cleaned up well. We have not found stray nails, and very little old material even in and around the gardens and the bushes next to the house. I highly recommend Chris. He takes pride in what his team does and stands behind the work. I will be using the services of Highpoint Remodeling LLC again soon.

Provider was responsive in the bid process He provided ideas and recommended an architect who was very competent and effective. Tight time line to do a large job. Completed the project 95% on time.  Not always good at providing a lot of lead time prior to final product or material decisions that needed to be made. Sub contractors were skilled, very pleasant and showed up when scheduled.   

Chris and his team were great.  Very responsive and punctual. A little disappointed that they ran out of roofing materials and had to come back a few days later to finish the roof.  Seems like they mismeasured.  Other than that, the roof looks good. They were very concerned about our level of satisfaction.  Also, Chris was available and responding to calls and emails while on vacation. <br />

It was done in a very professional and expertly manner. The owner Chris has top quality artisans working for him. Especially Scott, who was very polite and gave off a feeling of being very engaged in his work with respect to detail and caring about what he did. <br /> Scott explained what and how he was going to do the work and he strived for a finished product that was at his standards and <br /> at the same time made sure the home owner was happy. Every step of the way was carefully thought out and when they found <br /> rotted wood and stopped and told me that the job will be extended another day or more. It went very well! Chris was extremely accomodating to our tight schedule. He came out on very last minute notice. He was very prompt and came right on time and performed the roof inspection in a thorough and timely manner. We needed the inspection right away and he provided it to us extremely quickly. He was polite and courteous the entire time and extremely professional. We would definitely recommend him to friends for roofing jobs and would definitely use him again for future jobs! <br />

They showed up early, did the inspection, brought to my attention various areas that are of concern and provided suggestions on how to extend the life of the roof. I would use them again. <br />

The experience went extremely well.  Chris, company president, called me about 5 minutes after I clicked "send" on the email. From initial phone call, consultation and work, it took a little over 3 weeks.  Chris and his team were phenomenal, paying attention to detail.  I feel is if I am in a dream as this has been the best experience I've ever had in dealing with a contractor!  Chris, as well as his team, should be proud of themselves - they deserve it.  His guys were polite, professional, on time and hard working.  I have much work to do and will definitely hire them again.  I will recommend them to anyone and everyone who asks. <br />

<p>The owner Chris came out and met with my neighbors & I who were both looking to replace our roofs.  Chris was very professional, answered all our questions, gave us the quotes which included initial and maximum cost (exact couldn't be determined up front as we knew the existing roofs plywood was compromised but couldn't determine how much had to be replaced until the old shingles came off).  Chris also went to our association for us which saved me a lot of time from having to track down the members to get approval for the shingle type/style.  </p> <p>I was extremely pleased with the service High Point provided.   His crew was  polite and friendly and did a great job cleaning up.</p> <p>Would give them an A+ .</p> <p>I will definitely recommend them and use them again for additional services.   </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Jen S</p> <br />

The owner, Chris Garliss came out to see us on our schedule.  Chris is extremely professional and knowledgeable. Highpoint Remodeling, and it's President, Chris Garliss, are extremely capable at what they do. We wanted a complete kitchen remodel with a modern design and we received just that and more. Chris and his workmen are professional, punctual, considerate, and dependable. From the fresh and innovative design ideas, to the meticulous drawings and measurements, this company will not disapoint. We were particularly impressed with the tile work and the "on site" modifications. There is no problem that Chris can't handle, and he does it in a relaxed way that puts the homeowner at ease. Chris and his workmen are perfectionists, and that's exactly what we were looking for. Each day they tidy up and try to leave the project site as clean as they found it, which we really appreciated. It's difficult to live in dust for weeks, but a little TLC. a broom, and a shop vac go a long way to making the homeowner feel that the end is in sight. We also loved the fact that Chris has so many great contacts and vendors in the Baltimore area....from tile to glass to granite and wood, he has a personal recommendation that is just as good as he is.
