Stacy Harlow and his son David began project on 3/5/2024. Stacy and his son constantly arrived late 10:30 to 11:30 after saying he would be here between nine and ten am. Stacy did not make me aware he would be taking a 2 week vacation in June, a cruise mid to late July, the week of the 4th of July and the week prior to Labor Day . He only said he had a camping trip planned in April. Stacy did leave David here to work however David has not been fully trained how to do all aspects of the job independently. Stacy is still giving him instructions and telling him what to do. David also will not show up for work until 1-2 pm if he shows up at all. During Stacy’s cruise David did not show up for 3 days he told me he would be here. He text 2 of the days late in the afternoon to tell me he wasn’t coming (3:40 & 5:22 pm).David also put nails in my laminate flooring he was installing even after I showed him the instructions saying not to use nails.Stacy said he was supposed to have a man to do my sheet rock but he got rid of the man because he wanted to do another project before mine so David hung most of the Sheet rock himself. David did have difficulty finishing the sheet rock. He would completely wet the floor in the area he was working in while applying putty and was also unable to get some areas even while sanding without redoing them 5-6 times. When David was unsupervised ,which was most of the time he would work 15-20 minutes and break for 30-45. The only exception was when he hung sheet rock and rehung molding for doors. Stacy was not here for the majority of the renovation due to his vacations and sending David here to work alone. When the two of them did work together Stacy was constantly cursing at David when David argued with him about how to do things .on more than one occasion he was screaming at him to get the **** out of the house because he did not want to argue with him anymore. Not only did Stacy take four weeks vacation he also text me 32 times to say they would not be coming to my house to work that day. I will say that 5 of those were medically related so perfectly understandable . Stacy installed my pantry cabinets in front of my hot water heater so now I am unable to access it without cutting the shelves out. He did this after he told me there would be no shelves there only the access panel for my hot water heater. He also installed the pantry door backwards with gold hardware after I had told him on multiple occasions I wanted black hardware. Stacy was to vent my dryer and left a huge hole in the floor around the vent. When speaking with Stacy initially he said every thing to complete the renovation area was included. He told me he had a vanity for my bathroom that was white and 24 inches and we added a granite countertop for an additional 150.00 and I wanted it painted. When he finally arrived with the vanity I found he had taken my old vanity and cut it in half and painted it. I ended up ordering a new vanity myself at my expense. Unfortunately the counter top I had paid for may not fit as I don’t know because he hasn’t installed it. I paid an additional 1700.00 to have trim put on my doors with new black hardware. Stacy cut out a section of the trim where the doorknob goes because he did not measure properly and get the correct doorknob. If Stacy does something wrong he always tries to tell you that he was doing what you said to do even though you may never have had a conversation about it. Stacy makes decisions about things without consulting you to make sure they are what you want. On Wednesday August 21 I spoke with Stacy about everything that needed to be completed on my home and he told me it would be completed by August 30th 2024. The next day he called and said he was not able to come. On Monday August 26 I text to see if he was coming and he called me to say David would come to touch up some paint and accused me of being the reason they were not done. I had 4 doctors appointments since March, I text David on three occasions to see if he was coming to work while Stacy was on vacation and he took so long to text back we had already dresses and left home by the time he responded. David would work weekends and I needed time for errands.Very unprofessional behavior There are still about 15,000.00 worth of things that still need to be done to my home. I don’t trust Stacy anymore but I know the easiest thing would be for him to just finish the job. I also want him to finish in 7 days like he said he would.I also want to make Agni aware that Stacy puts Harlow Service Company on his contract instead of H.I.S which this review will fall under. He told me that he pays Angi per referral because he doesn’t want reviews.Due to this I was unable to find reviews on Angi and called and was told he had a good review on contractor work and moderate review on heat pump work which now I’m not even sure were his reviews. I accidentally found the reviews for H.I.S on Angi while searching for his address. The first review I saw was Stacy treating another disabled woman just like he has treated me. StacyI don’t understand why Angi would continue recommending someone who seems to prey upon women who are disabled. Again- I would like the work on the list I have already given Stacy done in 1 1/2 weeks like he said he could do

IS Harlow business reached out to me after I went on Angi on 11/13/23. Spoke with owner Stacey Harlow and he sent pics of his work, stating to be on Angi they vet/confirm his business is only way a person can be on their site for a recommendation. Mr. Stacey Harlow, and myself discussed remodeling master bathroom, explained I had spoken with Leaf Home Safety and West Shore about walk in shower from off Angi and he stated he could remodel whole bathroom for what they would charge just to do the shower. Mr Harlow sent pictures of his work which looked very nice. We agreed to meet and I explained I had broken my back in 1985, which caused me a lot of pain is reason I wanted a walk-in shower with a seat so I could Shave my legs. Mr Harlow, Myself and my twin sister Cathy J Montgomery met at my house and talked at great length. Mr Harlow explained we could go to Home Depot and pic out the items which he drove himself and Cathy and myself rode together. He seemed very professional at that time, we walked around and he made suggestions. We discussed the vanity, shower, and he told me I had a choice between gold, silver or brush nickel for Fixtures. I liked the brush nickel and I asked would all the fixtures for the sink, shower and grab bars be brush nickel and he stated Yes, Only thing that could not would be the tiki sit which I stated that was ok it would be silver. Mr Harlow, stated he would have to order the grab bars and titi sit, also have the Granite Shower made and vanity sink made. We walked around and we picked out the mirror, looked at Toilet and I told him I wanted the highest toilet with soft sit due to my back and I didn’t like the cold toilet sit on my rear. Mr Harlow stated that was no issue and he asked about the inches and I told him the tallest one they make because he is the contractor and he would know the inches but I did not but it was the tallest one they made and he stated he knew what I was needing. Cathy even told Mr Harlow that I fussed when I came to her house about her toilet sit being cold and she was going to get one too after she saw my bathroom and how I liked it. We also talked about the cabinet over the toilet and how small it was and Mr Harlow told me he could use a kitchen cabinet and cut the back off and reattach it and I would have two shelves. I explained I had a lot of hair products Cause my daughter was a hairdresser and he was laughing. We walked around and picked out flooring, lighting, and new door. We discussed that I did not have a Exhaust vent And he explained he could add that into the bathroom no issue at all, and it would be vented. Also Stated that my heating air vent needed to be switched out and he said he would get me a new vent as well. Mr Harlow explained he would switch everything out from brown trim and make trim white, To go with the cabinets, I asked about the door what color would it be? And he said one side would be white that match the bathroom and the other side would remain brown that would match the bedroom that I have. After picking everything out, we came back to the house and sat at the kitchen table and discuss the price he explained explained because of Covid he would need to get half up front and he would order everything and once it all arrived he would need the remaining funds. Reason was because a lot of contractors including himself had done work but then the clients would not pay the remaining portion. I asked about the sheet rock and sanding because I have a bad lung and he stated he had a zipper door that he would be using so no dusk would come into house remain in bathroom, he would put plastic down front door to the bathroom. Mr Harlow begin on 12/04/23 and be done by 12/11/23, maybe come back on 12/12/23 for touchup but he would be done. Mr. Harlow stated he liked to start work early and I asked that he text me when he was on his way to let him in the house. I paid Mr. Harlow 11/15/23, $8,290.00 for him to place the order. Mr. Harlow and his son David began the job on December 4th 9:30am to 4:00. They did not bring the zipper door. They used my Bedroom window to throw the sheet rock and trash out into a trailer that they had parked in the back he asked could he do, Ok, 12/05/23, received text David would be only one working that day. 9:30 to 4:00, 12/06/23, both here 10:00 to 4:30pm, 12/07/23, both here 9:45 to 4:30, 12/08:23, both here 8;45, Mr Harlow, he had an attorney appointment, had my cabinet and would cut it down and be ready by Monday. and would be working on it over the weekend, left at 2:00, David worked till 6:00. I called Mr. Harlow and asked him to please bring the zipper door he promised It was hard for me to breathe. I had to vacuum my bed off every night due to the dust. 12/11/23, Received a text they were going to be late. He need to see about my countertop here at 11:00 to 5:15, at 8;27pm, received text could he call. Mr. Harlow explained he had a court hearing for mediation That he had just found out about so he would be late the next day. 12/12/23, here 3:45 to 6:00, I asked Mr. Harlow. When was he going to be done cause he was supposed to already be done, but he told me that was not his fault and I could tell he was not happy with me for asking. Stating he would get the job done, and he would be here at seven the next morning. 12/13/23, Received text he was at the dump, then stated they stopping for lunch, here at 2:25 to 5:55, I explained Mr. Harlow that I was supposed to have my grandchildren on Thursday and Friday. I needed him to finish the job like he promised he stated he would get it done. Mr Harlow had but up the Shelves in the bathroom and two of them fail he had him duck taped to the wall. He was fussing about the glue. Told Mr. Harlow I had changed things would get the children Friday. He said he would be here at 6:00am. Within 30 minutes Mr. Harlow called he realized the sun would not be up until 7:30 he would not be able to see to saw his marks. I went take trash out and sent Mr Harlow a text at 9:04pm, David had left the water on. 12/14/23, stated he would be here at 6:00am, text he had go pick up different glue, here 8:42 gone 6:00, I asked Mr Harlow about my tiki seat in my hand rails, he was waiting on them to be shipped to him. I told him that was not what he had told me when I paid him. He told me he had everything that is why I paid him the second part. Mr Harlow got mad and told me he knew I would not like it so he decided not to tell me because he didn’t want to hear it. Told me we could go to Home Depot and pick out the handrails but they would be silver, I did not want silver. I wanted the brushed nickel that we agreed to. I went outside to cool off, went back in and apologize Mr. Harlow for getting upset, I also apologize to David because I did not want to be disrespectful to his father. Mr. Harlow explained that he had another client that got upset with him and called at 2:30 in the morning because her bathroom was flooding. He got up and went there and because she was upset, He told her he didn’t have to do nothing and he left with the water running. This was not the first time that Mr. Harlow had bragged about walking off the job if someone made him mad or fussed. 12/15/23, Here 10:20 to 9:50pm, I walked into the bathroom in the afternoon and saw the silver handrails and told Mr. Harlow that was not what I had ordered and he told me that is what you get because Mohen doesn’t make the Brush nickel and I reminded Mr. Harlow about our prior conversation the night before when he offered to take me to Home Depot to get the rails, and they were going to be silver and I told him no I wanted the brushed nickel like we had agreed to he got mad. Stating he had stopped the FedEx man and pick the rails up. Well, they’re not coming down now is what he said. When Mr. Harlow left. He stated that he would be back to put the knobs on my cabinet door. 12/16/23, Received text 9:02pm, Tiki seat received, I asked Mr. Harlow if he could come earlier because Steve was wanting to talk to him about the job. Mr. Harlow was wanting to do the guest bathroom And some pipes under the house but we saw the work he done and how angry

He came out and started on the project but he did not close to completion. He said he had to leave early. The last time he came, he only stay an hour (maybe) and we haven't contacted him anymore. We gave him about 3 weeks, called him back, but them we cannot contact him anymore. He told us initially that he will have two people with him, but he only showed without the two pros he said.

Tested their work to make sure it was done accurately before leaving. Pricing was very fair and reasonable. Will continue to use them for any future repairs. I highly recommend them for services.
