Came out immediately. Very professional and thorough as well as being very nice person. Checked everywhere for water damage and mold and documented in great detail as well as took pictures. Explained everything so that we understood what needed to be done and what we should expect from the remediation company. Had the results for the remediation company with the plan super fast. Great service!!

I cannot find enough words to praise David at Hi Safety First!! If you are looking for a consummate professional, look no further. My public adjuster recommended another company right after Hurricane Irma because we had extensive damage to our home. I agreed to use him because I didn't want to have to "deal with it"-I was already dealing with enough. We had additional damage after a storm and had to have our home re-inspected. I called David, because he had inspected our other home. I don't know why I didn't just call David the first time...I'm writing this in great detail because I don't want anyone to make the same mistake that I did. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE from one inspector to the next. David's report was so detailed that it made the other inspector's report look like it was written by someone that had just gotten their license the prior day! He is an expert in his field and, God forbid, I should ever need another mold inspection, I will call David FIRST. Thank you, David!!! You truly are the best and I know that me and my family are in good hands with you!!

All four inspectors arrived within 15 minutes of each other. They quickly went about their work as we followed along the best we could. As each of the other inspectors finished, David stopped his portion of the home inspection and listened to the report given by the other three inspectors. Clearly there was mutual respect among them. They explained in terms that we could understand what were significant problems and what were more cosmetic concerns. David completed a very thorough review from top to bottom, and provided us a report within 15 hours, including cost estimates to repair what he had found along with pictures. After David had completed his home inspection, he stayed longer than we had expected and walked us through his findings room by room. As he promised, everything was included in his written report. Initially we had decided to revoke our offer and walk away. However, after further discussions with the real estate agents and providing a copy of the four inspection reports, we decided to make a reduced counter offer that reflected a more realistic purchase price in order to offset the major structural problems that needed to be addressed. We believe that David took his time with the inspection and then took even more time to explain to us what he had found. We were able to make an informed decision before moving forward with the purchase. We definitely are very satisfied, recommend his services, and we would hire him again without question.

David arrived early. He is very professional and knowledgeable. He gave me several tips while doing the inspection, from mold issues to what to watch out for on insurance policies. I did not purchase that townhouse but I will use David again when I find the house I want to make my home.

They were willing to go to bat for you. There was a problem with the builder that he didn't want the inspector to go into the attic. If you're buying a house you want the whole house to be inspected, not just pieces of it. I basically said to the GM that I have no agreement with you, you are not the builder of the house. If I go in there to do the inspection and you get in my way there is going to be a problem because you have no right. You may not like me inspecting your work and that's just to bad. I said if you do get in my way and someone gets injured I guess I will get the house without paying for it, you will. It was really bad. They were going to tell me what I could and could not inspect in my own house. Finally the inspector did a great job, he went all around the house, in the house, he inspected the boards. He even brought what is called and arc control meter, so if there is any kind of arcing it will be able to tell. His arc meter showed there was a problem so we told the electrical guy. The electrical guy from the builder came over with a light and a switch and said that;s how they tell if there is an arc. I said that is not the proper instrument to test for arc welding. I know enough, I have flipped enough homes. I was dumb founded why he didn't have a tester. He said they were really expensive. I said you can do it however you like but after the house is built and I'll have it tested up to code. I called the inspector later to see if is instrument was working properly on other homes and he said yes and said he would put that in his report. The inspector said he wanted to make sure the house was safe for me. He pointed out a lot of things. The builder was not using the proper tools. The inspectors wife is who answers the phone and she is very nice. He went out of his way for this job. He came any despite what the builder wanted.

It went well. The first sample took longer than expected with the results but that was not his fault. He even remedied the situation by discounting the repeat testing. His staff was very supportive and they were very friendly. I was a little disappointed that his truck left a big oil stain on my driveway. <br />

While buying our new home, our home inspector suggested we investigate some water damage and introduced us to David Smith of Hi Safety First. Following David's inspection and testing of our home, he provided us with a detailed, comprehensive report that delineated areas containing mold and recommendations for remediation. He explained our mold damage in a way that was understandable to us as laypeople. He offered advice regarding hiring independent mold remediation companies and continued to advise us as we moved through the remediation process, which included coming back for follow up inspections. At all times, David was professional, ethical, and pleasant to speak with. He has extensive training in mold inspection and was very knowledgable. He, and his assistant Shanna, were always responsive and quick to schedule time with us we requested them to do so. Though the mold remediation companies we interviewed tended to have disparate recommendations for our mold remediation, David approached planning for our mold remediation in a realistic, practical, and reasonable manner that balanced not cutting corners but also not going overboard. His vast knowledge about mold greatly reduced our stress level, and likely our costs, as we dealt with our mold damage. Thank you Hi Safety First! <br />

David is a diamond in the rough. I'm so glad I found Hi Safety First Corp on Angie's List - what a lifesaver!! We needed an inspection for our very first house we wanted to buy, and I called David based on the reviews here. Best decision I've made so far! During the initial phone call, his wife took the time to walk me through everything they do, and to give me an idea of what was going to happen at the inspection, and what was going to happen after. The inspection was on a Friday and David was already at the house before I got there. He was incredibly patient and walked me through everything he was looking at and showed me problem areas and just general things that happen when the house ages. Why was hiring Hi Safety First the best decision we've made so far? Because he saved us from a costly mistake - buying a house that was essentially a money pit! $600 well spent to save big money in the long run. His report is meticulous and accurate, I even sent it to family members to look at and they were impressed by the detail he went in to. Things you may not even notice, he picked up on right away. The experience was wonderful. The inspector arrived early and was already starting the process when we arrived. David was very knowledgeable and took the time to show us all of the potential issues with our prospective home. <br /> Initially, he walked us through the home while pointing out potential problems. Each time David spotted an issue, he would explain the severity of the problem and the expected costs of repair. During this time, he also provided advice regarding the renovations that we planned to make on the home. <br /> After this initial walk through, David thoroughly inspected the home and documented his findings. The whole process took approximately 2 hours, and we had the final report within two days. <br /> Overall, it was a great and informative experience. David provided us with all of the information that we needed to make a decision regarding the home in a detailed yet easy to read report.
