If I could give HL Bowman 0 stars, I would. After buying our first home, we experienced frozen pipes and chose HL Bowman based on their positive reviews. During their first visit, we were strongly encouraged to sign up for their MVP program. Since then, every maintenance visit seemed to result in recommendations for costly replacements. Recently, our AC stopped working. My father, an electrician, identified two possible faulty parts, and it turned out one of them?a part costing around $30?was the issue. HL Bowman charged us $418 to replace it and then tried to sell us an additional capacitor for nearly $400 more. To make matters worse, the technician broke the exterior breaker switch for the unit and then quoted us $300 to repair the damage he caused. Charging customers for technician-caused damage is unacceptable. I requested a call from a manager and asked to cancel our membership, but received no response. Based on our experience, I would not recommend HL Bowman.

*AVOID THIS COMPANY: We had an extremely disappointing and concerning experience with H L Bowman and strongly caution others before using this company. In 2019, we hired them to replace an outdoor spigot/hose bib and copper plumbing, which cost $309. That installation ultimately failed within a few years due to what a technician on a recent visit confirmed was an improper initial installation. Fast forward to our recent service call: a technician came out, diagnosed the issue, and quoted us over $700 to replace a simple hose bib with no additional parts required. After questioning the price, they ?discounted? it to $600. Feeling uneasy about the pricing, we asked them to stop the work so we could get a second opinion. Only then did the technician suddenly offer to honor the original 2019 price of $309?raising serious questions about where these pricing numbers were coming from and how such a drastic ?discount? could be offered on the spot. They contacted me right away, set up an appointment, came and did a wonderful presentation that was on a Tuesday. I had other contractors in between. They already sent me their estimates. I waited till that Saturday. And I emailed him, that I wanted to get his estimate. Never received anything. The following Monday, I called his number. He never got back with me. I told him what I wanted. He never got back to me. On Tuesday, which would have been a week after he was here. I called H L Bowman, and spoke with somebody there. She said she would check into it, and she would have an estimate to me within a day or two. And they never got back with me. I never got an estimate. And we checked our email address. Make sure everything was good. Never received anything. And here it is like, over two weeks later and havent heard a word from them.

I had plumbing leaks in a couple of places, but the men that did the work went above and beyond by replacing every component involved top to bottom to ensure there would be no leaks for a long time to come. Very satisfied with the quality of work as well as how quickly it was done.

Great experience Justin, Nate & Timothy were awesome. Very knowledgeable, professional & curious. Aside from the cleanliness they delivered an experience. I highly recommend HL bowman if you want rapid service on your HVAC. Pricing was reasonable in my opinion & financing is an option. Keep in mind when seeking quotes for your HVAC repair/ new install you must consider performance over equipment, that is if your want a good system that will have a good run/life span.

Oversold/Underdelivered. Salesperson quoted job would be done in one day. It took 3 days during very cold weather. They did provide space heaters and the service techs were great. However, manager response was awful. Never called proactively to apologize or to provide an inconvenience discount. Asked to speak with the general manager and still have not heard from him in over a month. Again, the techs are great but beware of being oversold.

I will always complain about pricing but the customer service was very helpful and knowledgeable and the technicians that installed the unit were prompt, knew their job and were done when they said they would be. All in all it was a good experience considering the expense.

Adding to the above review: NEGATIVE STARS 1. The Daikon' ductless mini-split' unit, sold to me by Brian Enders and installed by H.L. Bowman Incorporated, unleashed a deluge that not only saturated the hardwood floor in my dining room but also flowed onto bookshelves and drawers in the room below, drenching 25 family photo albums. 2. The water pooled atop and between each section of my quarter-sawn oak Stickley barrister bookcase. 3. The water seeped inside each section of the bookcase. 4. The water ran onto particularly important and expensive books, framed photographs, as well as four small wooden boxes containing four of my dog's cremains. 5. In past years, water from a second-floor unit emitted sufficient water to cause a 12' by 5' section of the upstairs floor to crash through to the main floor. All furniture and items in that 12' by 5' section were so water-damaged that they had to be discarded. Water ran behind the plaster and into the wiring contained within the plaster walls. I had to make an insurance claim to have that water damage repaired. 6. In past years, water from a basement unit emitted sufficient water to cause an entire wall of built-in cabinetry to be destroyed and have to be replaced. I had to make an insurance claim to have that water damage repaired. 7. In past years, four of the six "ductless mini-split" units have simply not worked. They do not cool. They do not heat. They hang on the wall and blink. 8. Throughout these years of destruction, distress, and financial duress caused by the six 'ductless mini-splits,' Brian Enders has consistently refused to rectify the problem. 9. The FIRST REASON Brian Enders uses to refuse to rectify the problem: When the ceiling caved in from the upstairs unit and the cabinetry was ruined by the downstairs unit, Brian Enders offered substandard assistance. He sent a contractor to my home to spackle over water-damaged plaster, thus sealing water inside the walls. When I saw the inferior repairs Enders offered, I stated that I was going to call my lawyer. Enders said that because I had threatened legal action, his company would no longer serve me. 10. The SECOND REASON Brian Enders gives for refusing to rectify the problems: When the ceiling caved in from the upstairs unit and the cabinetry was ruined by the downstairs unit and Brian Enders offered substandard assistance, I wrote bad reviews of Brian Enders and his company "all over the internet." (Enders words.) Yes. I did, indeed, write bad reviews of Brian Enders and his company, H. L. Bowman, Incorporated, "all over the internet" and will continue to do so until Brian Enders and his company, H. L. Bowman, Incorporated, make the six Daikon "mini-split" units they installed in my home work properly. 11. Because Brian Enders and his company, refuse to help me, I have paid five other companies, & one private contractor, to come to my home to diagnose and repair the six Daikon "ductless mini-split" units. Each one has been unable to do so. Each one says that there is something so faulty about these units &/or the installation of these units that it is impossible to determine what is actually wrong with them. 12. On Saturday, June 22, 2024, I tried to set up a service call with H.L Bowman, Incorporated, using a form on their website. 13. On Saturday, June 22, 2024, I received a text from H.L. Bowman confirming an appointment for Monday, June 24, 2024, with a note relating that on the day of the service, I would receive a call 30 minutes before the technician arrived. 14. On Monday, June 24, 2024, I instead received a phone call from H.L. Bowman informing me that they are too busy serving their VIP customers to send a technician out to serve me. Today is Tuesday, June 24, 2025. H.L. Bowman has still not rectified their financial and material injury to me.

They were very helpful and also took a look at our downstairs unit that was giving us trouble. I'm glad we went with them.

Highly impressed with HL Bowman and would definitely recommend them. They provide top notch service from beginning to end. The initial contact and scheduling was super easy, the quote process was really extremely informative and the install was faster than promised, they cleaned up and were super professional. Danny, from HL Bowman, quickly understood the scope of the installation and used his expertise to make the installation seamless. As a result, the filtration system he installed is now operating perfectly to remove particulates greater the 5 microns from our well water. I would highly recommend HL Bowman for your plumbing needs.

Replaced a tank water heater, the door was too narrow so first pitched removing framing with no guarantee that it’d be replaced correctly. I suggested using a smaller sized unit based on a quote from another plumber which is the route we went. They also covered the overage for the additional cost of the smaller sized unit which was nice but if I wasn’t aware of the option I’m not sure what I would have done. They also only sent one person initially so I helped bring the old unit down and the new one up in between trying to work. Also the breaker to the hot water heater was never flipped back so I’m waiting to see how the unit performs now.
