Most awful experience. He claims to have 25 years experience in painting but the people he hires are day laborers. He hired a man who told us that he just met Buddy and that he was instructed to just spray the house with paint. No rolling. He said he knew he shouldn't do that but Buddy told him there was primer in the paint. Buddy told us to pay him directly. Which we did. Big mistake. This guy sprayed all of our windows too. This was after he told us about the primer in the paint. My husband called him and Buddy said he would fix it . Days later I showed up to the house and there was a man and a woman painting. They both looked hungover. The lady said she had just been hired by Buddy at a bar, which he admitted. He went on to say he has been in this business for 25 years. I said that's great but the people that are painting my house have done it for one day. My four year old stays inside the lines better than them. My windows had paint all over the trim. They are aluminum and black but now have white all over the frames. I told him I called him to discuss and he said his solution was to take a brillo pad to them. He then started yelling at me and rambling on. He doesn't do the painting himself he contracts it out to day laborers. The guy he hired was spray painting the trim outside with dust flying around and Buddy said it was ok. I told him to stop doing work on the house. I didn't want him or whomever he decides to hire for the day at my home. We paid $13,000 for our windows and they are ruined. I told him we now have to be all new trim for the house. Plus they got paint all over the new tile that was just installed. He said that he was not going to tolerate me tellling him how to do his job. I said that as his customer I had a right to discuss my concerns. I'm educated and do not need to raise my voice or use vulgarities in order to get my point across. He said he didn't have to talk to me and he would call my husband and then he hung up on me. I texted him because he wouldn't answer my call after that and told him he was fired. He said he was going to put a lien on my house for double the price. Then he said the cameras watching my house don't do anything to him. He's unprofessional, rude and lacks common human decency. Do not hire him. You won't be hiring Buddy Morris. You'll be hiring people who have never painted before.

The interior work went well, but when asked about doing some concrete work outside he keep having issues with personal and used weather as an excuse. Finally I called him a couple of times but he never contacted me back.

Unsatisfactory results.

The first visit made resulted in a peeling repair. So a second visit was required with a different tradesman. The bad thing is I had given the supplies I was required to purchase to the first guy, and of course they were not transferred to the guy that came back so I had to spend another $25 on supplies for the second repair.

The second repair is still not professional, but we can live with it.

The gentleman that runs this company is a nice guy but not a professional sheetrocker, or was trying to do the repair in our house on the cheap. We would have paid more to have a complete repair done but it seems he was trying to do the minimum to squeak by.

In future I recommend anybody closely check out reviews of providers offering these "deals" and realize that the value of something "free" is often what you pay for it.

The young man who came was friendly but clearly tired from a full days work. I used a coupon for this service and the price was really good but I could probably done just as good as or a better job myself. I don't think the young man who came to my house was a professional drywaller.
Angies list special for four hours of service to replace wood trim. I let them know what time I had to leave for work. Poor guy who came out was sent to another job before mine. Fella did a good job but I sure did not get 4 hours as paid for. Also wanted door filled with wood filler but I had to go to work. Was not worth my time to reschedule for an hour. Date service performed and price an estimate as I do not recall exact date or price.
The first contact was a phone call to set up an appointment for the work. We were given a 3 week tentative appointment due to how busy the provider was. After we notified the provide that the house was under sales contract with a Jun closing date, the appointment was rescheduled/delayed one more week. The day the work was to be done I had to call and remind the provider of the date and work began around 2 pm that day.
The worker sent out to do the work was very professional, polite but wasn't able to finish the work in one day because the provider hadn't delivered the paint as previously discussed. The worker came by a few days later and was able to paint a little but not completely because we had home inspector with new buyer on the property.
After a third attempt to finish the worker sent me a text message that he had been fired and was not able to come over anymore. I finished the painting myself and never received any contact (phone call, email, text, etc.) from the provider himself. The worker did ask that I give him a poor rating on Angie's List because he had not paid him for his work and had relocated to Corpus Christi, TX.
We will not be using Angie's List any longer! We have used them on 4 different occasions and have had nothing but sub-par work and/or incomplete work. I would like a membership refund!!
Owner called and set up appointment date and time of 05/15/2015 afternoon. Waited until the next day as no one showed up
and found that the owner had FORGOT me so he rescheduled for 05/21/2015 afternoon but again none showed up or even called.
I gave up and had planned to report to Angie's List but in the early afternoon of the 22nd of May and handyman of sorts arrived in his
private car with no equipment but a bag of tools. he had no ladder to work on my ceiling as i had told the owner.. the handyman was ill equipped so he used my toilet seat as his ladder along with the edge of the tub, After about 45 minutes he said he needed to go buy some
spray on ceiling texture which cost me $30.25. when he came back to finish the job it took him about one hour of spraying with fumes choking us in the house to finish. The job looked bad when completed. Don't think it was the handyman's fault as he was not told much about the job and it all goes back to the management. After the man finished i checked my two week old toilet seat and found it was completely broken from the commode and needed replacing. I have not heard from this company since. I had to buy a new seat myself.
worst Angie's List selection i have ever encountered.
Deal was purchased on 3/30/2015 The service provider has been totally unresponsive. I try to call him and he says do not call me, send me a text. I have been trying and trying to get an appointment with him and he kept putting it off and putting it off and saying next week looks good. 6/17/2015 was the first appointment I was able to book with him and he no call/no showed me.

Sheetrock Repair - it went okay. Started rocky with a late start. The contractor sent someone who couldn't get into my complex because he didn't have a current drivers license. The employee was pleasant and well mannered and progressed to working as soon as he came. I didn't realize I had to supply a ladder, spray knockdown and sheetrock. I probably should have known about the spray knockdown and sheetrock but I had my husband bring over a piece from work which we fortunately had and I ran to Lowes to get the knockdown when he was ready for it. I wish I had known in advance or if the employee would have had me line it up in advance, but we didn't. So there was waiting on his part for these supplies as he needed them. The amount of sheetrock needed was less than 1/2 of a square foot - 2 long strips of say 2x12.
He finished and it appears okay but its is hard to see for sure until the paint goes on which we will do soon. I may update after that but so far it looks good - I think there is a spot or two that is too flat but, again, won't know for sure until the paint is on. Course then it will be too late :)

Update: After painting we found areas that were not done well at all.

Handyman Service - have been unable to reschedule after 2 misssed appointments.

He was so good that he finished my list in one hour and I had hired him for 3 hours.
The only problem is that he hung the roman shade backward. I will call the company and see if they could send someone out to fix that and maybe use the other 2 hours (I'll let you know what happens with that!).
