Holy Smokes Chimney Sweeps is proud to be a family-owned company. We have been serving GA residents for 15 years, providing excellent service for thousands of clients. We are fully insured members of the National Chimney Sweep guild of America and abide by their code of ethics. We are also proud to have received the Angi's List Super Service award. Our staff prides itself on being educated, equipped, and prepared to serve our customers with excellence. Our mission is to keep your chimney and fireplace in top-working condition, and your home safe! "Hey there [Member Name Removed], We are so sorry to hear that you weren’t completely satisfied with the service provided. For the sake of adding clarity to the situation for you and prospective clients, we’d like to take the time to share a bit about the situation. You are correct that we were having some clerical issues with our scheduler, which have since been resolved. Unfortunately issues happen from time to time that are out of our control but our desire is to always learn from mistakes and to navigate business with a sense of humility and a desire to do better. When these issues arose we offered you an additional discount for the inconvenience which you declined. When we schedule an appointment to come out we schedule a service window and the technician will arrive between the two hours provided. Sometimes a technician will give an ETA and then run into delays. As you specified Waylon called you more than once to clarify that his ETA has changed but he still arrived with in the service window provided. I apologize if this was not communicated properly. We changed our number in the interim of waiting for your material and were in the process of updating all customers with the new contact info, and you reached out before we had an opportunity to notify you. I understand that this must have been frustrating and I appreciate your feedback. Concerning your frustration with not being able to receive a full refund. Georgia small business law dictates that we refund up to 20% of a deposit if no contract is in place. Once a deposit is received we order your material immediately and it is non-refundable to us from the manufacturer. It is our policy, and a business practice outlined by local government. I realize that this wasn’t communicated properly to you, and we have since added this disclaimer to all project proposals. In regards to the final payment - we have been advised by our business banker that all checks need to be made out to the full name of the business. When we realized that it had been written without the full name, we called to let you know and did offer Zelle as an alternative means of payment. Upon you agreeing to this, we immediately destroyed and discarded the check properly as a safety measure for both the business and you as a valued client. In our conversations in the following days I also offered to pick up a new check, and you asked that we wait until the check had been cancelled and you chose to send the Zelle payment. I hope this response can clarify some confusion and resolve your dissatisfaction with our services. I am truly sorry to hear that your experience was less than excellent. We are always eager to improve and grow professionally and personally so we appreciate you taking the time to leave us feedback. We will take it to our team and make the necessary adjustments to avoid confusion in the future. When we saw your review post we immediately called and left you voicemails in an effort to make this right for you. We were unaware from our communication with you that you were unhappy with our service. Should you decide to give us another chance, we would love to change your experience with us for the better.
