How many positive words can I use to describe the services that we received from Homelife Remodeling “ Professional, detailed, took pride in their work, very clean, and honest.” My husband and I met with several roofing companies, some big names, and some individual contractors. In the end, we chose this company. Mr. Josh was knowledgeable, honest, and personable when telling us about the company and the work that needed to be done on our roof. We did not feel that we were sitting at a sales pitch. The workers came to our home on time, completed the job on time, and did an awesome job cleaning up after the job was completed. We would definitely refer them to anyone who is looking to have any outside work completed

Less than a year after having the roof replaced, I currently have a leak in my family room after it rains. I requested a water test to see if it was the flashing and that was never done. They tried to do everything else, but the water test to see if it is the flashing. I made an appointment for another roofer to come take a look at it and he informed me that it is most likely the flashing on the roof line and not the siding as Homelife proclaims it to be. It has been over a month with this same issue of water leaking into my home. Also, it took over 4 months after I signed the contract to even get the work done and that should have been a clue for me. The contractors they used I believed were subcontractors and not full company employees. They destroyed my lawn and I reported that to the owner, but nothing ever happened with that and now I have a brand new roof with a leak. The guy they keep sending out is doing more harm to my home then good. My home was built in 2001 and I never had a leak, until Homelife came to replace my roof in 2018. This has been a nightmare for my family and I in 2019.

We had 3 different roofing companies come out to look at our house. The prices were comparable, but we liked the owner of this company the best and his business practices. He was responsive to our questions and didn't do a big sell. The workers arrived on time. When they came up with problems they saw in the roof, the owner contacted us right away. Work is excellent, as was the clean up. Took only two days. And we paid nothing until the job was complete.

My meeting with the salesperson went very well. Two days later I signed a contract. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there - as far as communication is concerned. I could not get a straight answer as to the exact date my roof would be replaced. The date kept changing and I was never notified of this even though I explicitly said I wanted to be home for the install. The owner got a bit defensive with me when I got angry about this but eventually seemed to understand my point. The crew showed up on time and did a wonderful job. I had been told the owner would be on site at some point during the installation. He wasn't but that was okay with me. What wasn't okay with me was getting a bill where it stated at the bottom "A 3% fee will be assessed on all credit card purchases." There was absolutely NO notice of this fee prior to the work being done - it was not stated verbally, it was not included on the estimate and it was not included on the contract. I am VERY happy with my roof - the crew was amazing and not one drop of debris was left behind. Very considerate and conscientious. I'm not saying not to hire this company - I'm just saying be forewarned of communication frustrations and the 3% fee you will be charged on payments made with a credit card!

Product is great, very professional and on time when doing the cost estimate. We were scheduled right away, there wasn't a lag time. Roofing was completed during the day by the time we got home. They cleaned up very well, hardly any evidence they were there. Very important to me was communication, they followed up by email and phone and let me know immediately when installation had to be rescheduled. My one complaint was that they called very often before I was ready to make a commitment because I was getting other quotes.

The meeting with the sales rep went well. He presented his products, services, and company very well and provided a very good price and warranty. The crew showed up without an English-speaking Foreman, so communication was difficult until he showed up about an hour or two later. The crew set the ladder up against our gutter and dented it so I called the owner. He said that he would have his gutter crew replace any damaged gutter. Once the Foreman showed up, everything went much better and they finished just before dark. The owner sent a gutter crew to replace the section of damaged gutter within a week as he promised. He followed up to make sure that I was satisfied with everything. The overall service was very good.

Great. Very professional when making a proposal. Only one of three companies that went out of their way to let me know they price matched. They also upgraded the shingle and other materials as I requested. <br /> Thought the project would take one day, but it took three. When the attic fan was accidently covered up before removal and it was brought to their attention, it was uncovered so it could be removed. <br /> Left the area very neat. <br /> New roof looks great and is warrantied for 50 years. <br /> Labor guaranteed for 25 years. <br />

<p>We contracted with Homelife after receiving quotes from several companies. Homelife was our first quote and, quite frankly, we should have just stopped there. The next two quotes were not only considerably higher than Homelife, but were for the EXACT SAME SYSTEM (GAF 25 year shingles, cobra vent, 30lb felt). We knew we were getting a good value from Homelife when company #2 (who shall remain nameless) initially quoted us $18,000 and subsequently lowered the price to $9600 when we balked. Company #3 came in at almost $20,000 but was willing to give us a "discount" of $1500. No thanks. <br /> <br /></p> <p>Here's the bottom line - construction companies will generally only get your business once - that's it - because the jobs they complete are supposed to last. They can either sell on price or sell on volume. The last two companies were clearly "price" companies. The higher the fee, the less contracts they sign, but they make up for it by charging double. Homelife is a "volume" company. They want your business and lower their price to a reasonable level to get it. I like volume companies. They're willing to work hard for your business because they know you'll appreciate the savings. Why would anyone pay double for the exact same roofing system anyway? </p> <p>So, how was the job? The Homelife crew was great. The materials were delivered two days before the job was scheduled and loaded onto the roof. The crew showed up at 7:30am on New Year's Eve and got right to work. A LOT of the plywood under the roof was rotted, but the team replaced it quickly. They worked all day and finished 99% of the job by nightfall (these are the shortest days of the year). They came back a few days later to finish and clean up. Keep in mind, the roof shingles were on and the roof was fully protected so even if it did rain (it didn't) there were no issues. </p> <p>Homelife doesn't take a fee upfront. You pay when the job is finished. That is a good sign that the company is financially solvent. Companies that can't afford to buy materials and pay labor upfront often ask for a huge upfront deposit. Not Homelife. I actually got up on the roof and looked at the rotten plywood, replacement boards and the finished roof and the work was excellent. I gladly handed them my check and thanked them for a job well done.</p> <p>Would I use Homelife again? Well, given that the roof comes with a transferable 25 year warranty, I hope I never have to make that call. If I do (hail storm, tornado, new home purchase, etc), I will definitely have Homelife do the work for me.</p> <br />

Provider started and completed the job in one day. Moved the job to an earlier date when weather was favorable and an opening occurred. Team of contractors was very professional and orderly. <br />

What can I say, Ed and his company did an excellent job.  His men came out on time, very professional, went over the job with me and got it done. I had a complete roof replacement with 18 plywood (which were rotten) replaced.  I also was able to have a skylight installed which I absolutely love.  All the trim was very neat and detail oriented.   When the work was done, clean up was just as good.  The quality of the materials were clearly a step above the competitors .  The shingles really stand out, and can be viewed by the way my neighborhood is set up.  I was able to take pictures of my roof, and I look at them almost daily, I have OCD.  Thank you Ed!!  Happy Holidays!!! <br />

They were great.  Their price and quality were excellent.

Material was delivered one day before job was being started. contractor was on time set job up removed old shingle from roof and  replaced with new shingles. installed roof vents. replaced one board 4x8  and flashing on chimney cleaned up all areas around house and driveway. workers worked together did not take any breaks did job in 8 hour would use them again. <br />

Entire job went well with no problems encountered. Actually was an upgrade in quality of the roofing materials beyond what other companies were offering.

..This company was the fourth estimate I received and was the least expensive installing the same roof as the others.  They did not show up on the first two scheduled dates, but called saying they encountered some problems.  On the third date they did arrive on time and were able to complete the tear off and replacement roof in one day.  The workers were courteous and cleaned up all debris before leaving.  So, the work performed was very good, but the scheduling was poor.   <br /> <br />

It's turned out pretty well so far. We just had one little thing to go over.

We had a set budget for this project from our settlement contract and got a bunch of bids.  Ed's was not the lowest, not even the middle, but he was the best with communication and seemed like the most respectful and trustwothy person we had talked to.  So we talked to him about the price and he matched the 2nd lowest bid.  (The lowest was suspciously low, at least $2k lower than 4 others, and he said he couldn't have made any profit at that price.) <br /> Ed does not do the work himself, but his crew is well trained and seem to take pride in their work.  They did the whole job in one day.  Our roof is very steep and there is little room around the house to simply drop things off the roof or leave materials to bring up.  So there was a lot of extra effort for our job, and our roof is gorgeous.  We're very happy with it. <br /> Because of our setting, we had a couple of problems with old material ending up on neighbors' property and our deck railing getting cracked.  I called Ed about it while the crew was there and he had them tidy up immediately.  He had someone come to fix the deck rail about a week later (after the rain stopped!), and it looks fine.  I know some people might have been unhappy that things were not perfect from beginning to end, but nothing ever goes perfectly, and we really appreciated that Ed was so responsive and decent. <br /> We would definitely hire him again. <br />
