Please do not hire anyone from this organization. The work was incomplete and remains incomplete and the owner is non responsive to our attempts to communicate. We will be taking this issue forward through the appropriate courts

They had come out to give us some estimates for installing laminate hardwood flooring for two bedrooms as well tile for a bathroom. I approved the estimate and let them know that it would not be until August that I needed the work done. They said that was fine and that I would need to call 2 to 3 weeks ahead to get the materials ordered for the job. I went in to the store and dealt with a representative named Chase and this was on July 12th. The worked was scheduled for the 10th and 11th of August and I paid 60% of the deposit which was $1260 for the work. The check was deposited on the 17th of July. They never showed up for the appointment so when I called the store to see what was going on, it appeared that the extension I was given was disconnected. I decided to email as it was the only way of contact I had left. I contacted the company's email address and the man who responded was named Jason. He is now requesting that I send an image of the check that I wrote, which I am not about to do as it has all of my bank information on it. At this point we are at a stand still with the work and we are unable to get in touch with the company.  Also, when I drove by the store recently, it appears that it was completely closed down as the signs were gone and the store was completely empty.

We decided to use Hometown flooring after checking Angie's List rating. Since the rating and reviews were good and we thought Kyle seemed to be knowledgeable and honest. Installation seemed to go smoothly. But once installation was complete and the floor settled, we started seeing quite a few problems.  There were many repairs needed where there were gaps between boards as well as areas that didn't appear that the glue held. When Jason came out to do repairs, we discussed that the flooring product itself (Regal Hardwoods) seemed to have areas that the stain didn't get in completely.  When the sun shines on it there is white that shows as well as a haze on the finish. Jason told us to try different hardwood cleaners but nothing helped. Jason said he would talk to Kyle about it  (but told us Regal has the worst customer service, so not to expect a response from them) and he would call us back to set up appointment to repair the the bigger problem spots of installation. The areas that they repaired initially didn't work because it wasn't long before the boards had gaps again and boards were still loose. Kyle remained out of the picture during this  time. We were always given other guys to talk to. Jason was the first person and after waiting months to hear back from him, we decided he wasn't going to call us back for the 2nd repair appointment, so we called his number and were told it was no longer his phone. This is about 5 mos after Jason initially came out to check the areas for repair. After many attempts to contact Kyle (who had started  other ventures) we finally spoke to him and were given yet another person to deal with (Dave).  Dave made an appointment and came out to check the areas that needed repairs as well as look at the finish on the floor that we had initially complained about immediately after installation. He said that there were a lot of areas that would need to be pulled up and redone and that installation didn't appear to have been done very well. He also commented that the floors finish didn't look right.  We told him Jason told us he would have Kyle contact Regal and was supposed to be setting up appointment to take care of these repairs, but had never called us back. He  told us Jason was no longer with Hometown Flooring because he had not been taking care of the customers  repairs. Dave appeared to understand our frustration (not only with waiting on repairs, but with our dissatisfaction of the Regal product itself).   Because we have so many areas where the boards are loose as well as large hollow spots, Dave suggested that we wait on installation repairs and see what Regal says about sending a rep out to look at the finish. That has been over 6 weeks.  We had to call Dave again to find out what the status was after he talked with Kyle.  He told us he was still trying to get with Kyle to discuss our problems. He told us Kyle was very busy with his "other" new businesses. On 8/4/12 we decided to just go by the store and talk to whoever is there. We find the store empty.  Numbers have been disconnected and Kyle's cell phone just goes to voice mail. So it's been a year and we still have repairs that apparently we will have to have pay another company to come in and fix because it seems Hometown Flooring has gone out of business.  It is frustrating when you pay $20,000 to a company and they don't hold up their side of the deal.

They ordered the wrong flooring at first, which is exactly what happened the first time. Then they came and tore out everything and found that the correct product hadn't been delivered. I had to wait almost a week for it to get there, but once they came out, they worked very hard and it looks beautiful!

Hometown Flooring was great.  They were so no-pressure in the show room as we chose our floors and they were easy to work with.  We love our floors.  We are happy with the quality of the product and installation. Kyle was helpful and responsive and the folks that came out to do the installation were conscientious and professional.  Even better, their prices were beyond competitive- so much more affordable than some other places we had give us estimates.  Hometown Flooring will be the first place we check when it comes time to update some of the other rooms in our house.

We replaced all the carpeting on the main level of our home with laminate wood flooring.  Kyle, the owner was fantastic to work with offering us suggestions and working within our defined budget.  Kyle came to our house with a bunch of samples and took the time to explain the pros & cons of each while we settled on the sample which we wanted to install.    The installers where professional, well mannered and took great care while in our home.  They truly know what they are doing and have a great system of team work to accomplish a job with minimal impact / disturbance to the owner.   Kyle and his team are professional, they care about their customers and did not try to push into something we couldn't’t afford or didn’t want.    I fully recommend Kyle and Hometown Flooring.

All went very well. Material arrived on time and once it did, kyle called to schedule the installation. All the work was professionally done and I did not encounter any problems with the installers or the installation itself. Kyle is a great person to deal with and I would recommend Hometown flooring to anyone. After shopping several competitors, I found Hometown floors to have the best prices in town. Their prices will be hard to beat.

I got about eight bids and Hometown was not only the lowest bid but I felt best about using them based on my experience with Kyle the owner.  He patiently answered all our questions, gave us some good suggestions and relieved our reservations about taking on such a large project.  Hometown does not use outside contractors and the worker were professional, knowledgeable and prompt.  The bulk of the work was completed in two days as scheduled.  I required two follow visits for some minor "touch-up" and these were performed as scheduled.  I was very satisfied with the results and recommended Hometown to some of my neighbors that stopped by to look at my new floors.
