Constantly used high-pressure selling tactics, very little follow-through, had issues with permits not being properly filed with the city.

Very well! the tech had space heaters for us to use free of charge until they could get back to fix the furnace, which was only 2 days later.

expensive and a lot of pressure to upsell. we ended up with a preventive membership to help lower the costs of our original project. Just about every inspection results in recommendations due to safety and household health concerns. They use scare tactics to sell, most often using carbon monoxide as a problem (we have multiple alarms and never had any problem)

Too many stickers! I'm stuck rubbing goo-gone on my furnace, hot water heater, and duct work as my basement looks like a giant billboard for home-works. Please do not install advertising without permission of the homeowner. (Historically other contractors install a small tag noting work done, on the piece of equipment - which is obviously fine, but not giant stickers on multiple places throughout your basement.) Thank you.

Was conned into getting a new furnace by getting red tagged after an excessive search for carbon monoxide (he took the furnace apart to find it). Undersized the replacement, multiple issues with the wiring to the thermostat, changed the thermostat out twice. Then found out they didn't pull permits. Would never recommend to anyone. Throw out the flyers for the $59 furnace tune up--it's just a ploy to get into your house.

Over a year ago, we had new furnace installed. Installation was troublesome and required over 6 visits to finish the work. Several visits after initial installation were required to get the furnace to heat the house to the setpoint. They left a sag in the exhaust pipe resulting in condensation collecting in the pipe and eventually flowing back to the furnace. A couple visits later this was fixed by an awkward drain hanging down from the overhead to drain it back to the sink. Someone else did come after this, removed the drain, and corrected this by supporting the exhaust to maintain the required continuous downward slope. Furnace has operated successfully for the remainder of that season, all last year, and the start of this season. Friday, they arrived for the scheduled complimentary heating system review. Heating system was working well before this service and they showed my wife some maintenance options, recommended duct cleaning, provided quote and left. By the following morning, temp is down to 62F, and although thermostat is set to 68 and calling for heat, furnace only runs a minute then cools down. 62 is max temperature furnace reaches. We called to get service. We are told next available time is tomorrow, and that they would drop off space heaters until service can be arranged. I expect same-day service given that since the malfunction coincided with their visit and likely was due to something they did, I requested to speak with manager to expedite service call. Scheduling person said they would put in request to manager, but did not seem to expect a response. At end of day furnace still can't get above 62, no call from manager, and no temporary heaters delivered. Horrible customer service and horrible skills. I expect them to fix their own mistakes promptly, and not to break our system to begin with.

Wonderful! We had a BIG project. Category 2 vacant home built in 1860 that needed radiators brought up to code, heat added to attic (furnace), removed some radiators and replaced with toe kick heaters, moved radiators, and installed AC unit. Homeworks took on this project, after many turned it down, and exceeded our expectations.

While the installation was completed, the city inspector did not okay the installation. I still do not know whether my installation has been okayed by the city inspector. Home Works needs to resolve whatever issues there are regarding their installation so that it conforms to the City of **** Rapids' standards.

The initial instillation of water heater was ok but overflowed a drain. I purchased a service plan, my kitchen sink sprung a major leak. I called in an order, the responding plumber had a major attitude coming in because the manager had agreed to a free instillation of a fixture I had purchased. The plumber installed fixture, and diagnosed another part needing replacement, due to his aggressive behavior I wasn't comfortable with him in my house and had called his supervisor. The supervisor also had attitude and cancelled my plan and didn't have another plumber come out.

They came to do yearly service on water heater, that was free with membership I had bought when buying a sink , that I was talked into after kitchen sink leaking around seal. They said my water heater was very old & should be "flagged" They talked me into an extremely pricey tankless water heater. Ten months later came to do yearly maintenance check on my furnace & they tried saying I needed a new furnace. This time I said No & had Center Point come look. I should them what they said was bad & they said it was fine, that there wasn't a problem & my furnace should last several more 8-10 years. They noticed the flame sensor needed cleaning that was it. Funny, part of what Home Works was suppose to do in their service was to clean that sensor & didn't. All they do is pressure sales & talk you into expensive appliances that are NOT needed & could be done cheaper from others. Sales Sales Sales is all they think & care about. They have their expert come in & once they have the sale a lesser experienced person comes in & does the work. Had problems after they left each time!
