SATURDAYS We Charge a Minimum of $400.00 for us to come out for any work to be done. ((and you must schedule a Saturday one week in advance. (we all work Monday through Friday, Very long hours, and we like our weekends off and our families need us sometimes as well), so if you can not find time during the week for us to work for you, there is a premium for us to give up our weekend. Also, Saturday work MUST be scheduled at least 1 week in advance, unless it is an Emergency, in which case we charge an additional $100.00 on-top of the $400.00 minimum for Saturday work. (SUNDAYS, are a $600.00 minimum) 4.) I prefer that you Please email your requests for estimates; You can EMAIL me at honeydo@honeydomr.com. So that I may best assist you, please provide a list of exactly what you need us to do, so that I may send to you the best man for the type of work you need completed. If you call me I may be in the field or driving between jobs and can not make appointments without viewing my schedule. Also, I am one man, wearing 20 hats, I am the accountant, the Customer service Department, the Secretary, the Sales Department, the Estimator, and many other Titles. So, the fewer phone calls, the faster I can estimate what your project will cost. 6.) When emailing me a request for an estimate, Please include a list of what you need done, your cell phone number, and your home address. I can not help you or provide an estimate without this information. 7.) Again, Please reserve phone calls for EMERGENCIES only. 8.) we reserve the right to add administrative fees for my time spent dealing with difficult customers. 9.) Our hourly rate is: $50.00 to $65.00 per MAN hour, INCLUDING ANY ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS. 10.) PAYMENT is REQUIRED at the end of each day for any time and materials used each day. There will be a DAILY, interest rate of 10% for each day that we have to wait to receive cash or a check. 11.) INVOICES will cost $65.00 to cover the time needed to write them, Due to the fact that we do not have a secretary, or an accounting department, or a staff of sales people, we do not have the resources to spend time writing invoices all day, everyday. And our hourly rate does not cover this expense. 12.) INVOICES are only provided upon request and are emailed at the end of each day if time allows, or within a week of the job being completed, using Google docs on line custom made invoices.. INVOICES MUST BE REQUESTED 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF US STARTING THE JOB 13.) We charge $65.00 per man hour of my time for any deviation from the before mentioned for administrative costs. (to do it any other way than what I have stated, is an inefficient use of my time, and therefore will cost you additional if I am forced to deviate from the above mentioned billing methods.) 14.) The more flexible you are with US, the more flexible I will be with you, BUT, the more hard-nosed you are with me, the more you will be charged for being a high maintenance client that needs things handled differently than 95% of my clients. 15.) We are generally booked out 1 to 2 weeks in advance, but can sometimes squeeze smaller jobs in between the lines. 16.) We are Licensed, Bonded, and Insured (HONEYDR893PM) . The individual that was sent to my house was more of an apprentice; he advised contractor was not a plumber but handyman. The kid cut a hole in the wall, put in a camera and said he didn't see anything and plugged it back up. This only took an hour...for the rest of the time he installed 3 new low flow inserts in the tank and that's it. I did not get 3 hours of plumbing services.
Repair work was ok. When called them on the phone, the person was rude about scheduling and the work.
He was extremely thorough and professional. He pointed out things that needed to be repaired. He was able to accomplish all tasks. He did a lot of work in a small amount of time. We tipped him well. I would work with him again.
Purchased big deal for 6 hours of service. They were able to get through my entire list inside the allotted time. I believe Andy was the gentleman that performed the work. He was very efficient and stayed out of the way. Did a pretty good job cleaning up. There was some confusion with the manager when the job first kicked off but he might it right by the end of the work. I walked away satisfied and it was money well spent. Would use again if/when small projects are required.
It went well. They were on time and professional. They had to go to Home Depot for supplies but didn't charge me for that time. They worked quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up after themselves. Very hard working. I was impressed how quickly they worked and did a very good job.
I emailed John a description of the problem on a Saturday afternoon. He got back to me very promptly and let me know it was difficult to provide an estimate given how hard it is to diagnose leak issues. He proposed having his tech come out and see if he could find the cause within the two hour minimum. If the cause could be found I would pay the two hour minimum fee and engage further work if I wished. If his tech could not find the cause he would charge nothing. I thought this extremely reasonable. Yuriy came out during the promised date and time window and found the issue pretty quickly - our house is new and the builder didn't do a good job sealing part of the exterior wall. Yuriy came up with an excellent solution to the problem and was able to get a fix completed in about 5 hours total time. Yuriy was friendly and courteous and clearly knows his stuff.
I'm very impressed with Honey Do I appreciate the proactive communication and setting expectations up front. We will absolutely use them in the future!

Update to Response: I would like to clarify a few things.

(1) The owner who wrote this response, Mr Bolger, never saw the work-before or after so his response is based on his subcontracted employee that did the damage and some photos taken by a cell phone as to what the work looked like. He would like you to believe I am overly picky but the owner of the subcontracted business who did come out to review the work stated it looked very bad and even considered firing his employee because he was so upset over the mistake he made.

(2) I tried to keep my response professional while he made his personal-I think that says a lot about him as a person. Yes, my house did look like a bomb went off in it. I was redoing my master bedroom/bathroom (I guess he considers the walk-in a third room) so its contents were stuffed in open spaces of my tiny 2 bedroom townhouse. I hated how it looked which is why I was disappointed that his subcontractor's mistake set me back so many hours in repainting. I wanted my house to look nice again.
So, it was not dirty laundry everywhere but contents of my room. A fact he would have known had he been to my place.

(3) Last, and most important, I DID NOT rush his employee nor did I approve his work prior to him doing it. I had already had a mistake on this project which is why Mr. Bolger was hired (FYI: Not to be the middle man-he took that on himself). I would have never approved a short cut. I wanted the work performed properly. As Mr. Bolger points out, the flooring store was paying Mr. Bolger's bill so there wan't a financial motive to cut hours either. The fact is Mr. Bolger tried to not send anyone out and decided this without my input. The owner of the flooring store informed me of Mr. Bolger's decision and stated his employees did not do wall repair and did I want to hire another company to come out? Mr. Bolger wants to say I was rushed but really he was under staffed and he was trying to get out of the work entirely. I have emails and texts to prove this.

(4) He wants to say the miscommunication is with me but his subcontracted employee doesn't speak the best English, often having to search for the English word, and was not clear on what he was doing. It appears his own miscommunication did not clearly describe the work he did to Mr. Bolger since he has many facts wrong. Again, he was hired to fix damaged orange peel on the all but he came out and super caulked my room even in areas the flooring people never touched. Clearly what I agreed to and what he did were two different things. Had I seen what it would have looked like I would not have approved.

(5) Last, I will say that Mr. Bolger seems to have a temper. While coordinating to have the work performed I informed him that I would be in a business meeting and would be unavailable for 2 hours. He called and texted me during this time period and then sent a text stating "If you want this work done then you are going to have to pick up the phone".

I see that every negative review he attacks the person even going so far as to stereotype them based on their last names. Had I read this prior to hiring him I never would have. He seems to demand respect from others but does not give it.

(7) Read his own comments and then decide if this is someone you want to do business with. What if you have an issue? I think you will have a good idea how he will react based on his responses written.

This company was hired to fix some damaged to my wall's orange peel caused by the company that installed my floors. The person sent came out and informed me that the flooring installers used the wrong caulk and offered to fix it. Instead of removing the caulking and replacing it as we agreed he caulked on top of it creating a mess that was very unappealing. He also caulked the chair railing that we never agreed to him caulking. In addition-the orange peel that he was supposed to fix was not repaired. The company was very good at sending him back out to fix the caulking error but this took 8 hours of my time during the holidays to be available in case he needed me plus the removal caused damage the newly painted trim creating about 30 hours of rework in having paint over (some of this time was due to finding caulking on the middle of my trim that I had to remove myself).
The owner is very good and took my complaint very seriously. I would trust him to come into my home and work. I would not recommend the subcontractor that came and did the work and the rework.
Response from Honey Do Remodel and Repair Llc
"This is a very complicated case. we were called in to fix screw ups made by another contractor. I acted as a go between between this customer and the other contractor, to try to find a way for the other contractor to fix his mistakes. There was a lot of mis understandings in this case, and this client was EXTREMELY picky, but was also very unclear about what she wanted, and was extremely impatient with the guy I sent out to fix things, thus making him feel like he needed to not do things in the proper manner so that she could leave. The other contractor had completely used the wrong colored caulk on the all of the molding they installed. The only way to properly fix this was to completely remove the clear caulking in three rooms, and replace with white caulking. Due to the clients impatience, my guy tried to just go over the top of the clear with white caulking, which to a normal person would have looked fine. My guy even told her what he was going to do before he did it and even showed her what it was going to look like, and she approved the shorcut method, then when it was all finished, she decided she did not like it. I saw photos of it, and it did not look as bad as it was before, and most people would be ok with it. But she was not. so at our expense, we completely removed the other contractors clear caulking and our white caulking, and then when we started to re-caulk again, with the white caulking, she then tells us she does not like caulk of any kind, and that she actually would prefer that we use wall spackle instead. (highly unusual request). We did that for her per her request, and yet she still was not happy. The funny thing is, that she was complaining about extremely small minute (very finite) little defects from the very beginning, and yet she was a VERY messy person with cloths and other things strune all over the house. It looked like a laundromat exploded and spread dirty laundry all over the place. It is very strange how such a slob could be so nit picky about work she did not even pay for. She got all of our work for free."

this was purchased through a Angie's List Big Deal Coupon. I had a little trouble getting it scheduled, but it all went well. Two guys came and reviewed what I needed. They went to the store to buy the supplies, since I had no idea what to buy and couldn't purchase the items ahead of time. They got the compost bin done (it was half finished) and actually improved it. They caulked the tub and showed me why the original caulking looked bad (cover up job for a poor floor). They also fixed the leg of my sewing machine table. They cleaned up after themselves (I appreciate this). They were very polite.

I plan to have them come again to do some more work on my to do list. I got their advice on what I need for next time so I can be prepared and they won't need to go to the store.

They were very polite, nice, and reliable. I had a lot of problems with hanging up nails and they explained to me how to do it properly. They were on time and they even ran up to Home Depot to get things that they didn't have. However, their price was on the higher side.
