About us

Hoosier Permanent Coatings provides a permanent exterior coating that looks like fresh paint but is applied 10 times thicker. It produces a smooth-to-the-touch finish that is long lasting, breathable and extremely durable. Paint requires maintenance and frequent repainting. Permanent coating adds value to a home because it’s long lasting and comes with a transferable all-inclusive lifetime warranty (including labor) for as long as you own your home. Because traditional house paint needs to be reapplied every three to four years – potentially costing several thousand dollars with each reapplication – Hoosier Permanent Coatings can add up to serious long-term savings. Hoosier Permanent Coatings is durable because it’s 10 times thicker than paint and resists mold and mildew. It needs to be applied once – guaranteed – yet year after year maintains a freshly coated appearance. The Hoosier Permanent Coatings system is virtually maintenance-free and meets or exceeds all EPA standards. Family owned & operated. Cost is determined by the job. No travel charges. Financing available. Also Certified Lead Renovator on staff. Award winning.

The work took awhile to get done, but we were happy with the final result. One of the reasons we chose them was because they were highly rated on Angie's List and gave a lifetime warranty for the work. Since then we've had calls from their vendors wanting us to contact them so they could get paid. We're concerned that we paid them for the lifetime warranty and now we're worried that they're no longer in business. We're now wondering what our lifetime warranty is worth.

The first time it was $21,000, then we had them do some additional...they gave us an estimate, I think of around $6000 and honestly we haven't paid them because they haven't finished. They seemed very professional. I thought they would do an excellent job. They could match our color scheme. This is in a company that is warranted, life time paint, never have to paint again and if we do, we'll come out time and time again to do it. So the idea was great and we had been having to paint the brand new home every year. We were tired of that and they seemed like they could do a great job and the product seemed very good. We had them paint it the first time and we had room additions added and they painted that. It seemed very good and very professional. They painted some things that they shouldn't have like the windows, so it is hard to close them. Overall they did a decent job but then the last time they came out to do some repair work, they actually did some construction in addition to the painting and then they didn't match the paint colors correctly. They didn't finish the repair work, where they thought they might have finished it, it wasn't as it was before architecturally, aesthetically pleasing anymore. I had a punch out list and I said, this is all the punch out list that needs to be addressed. They said something about, okay they'll take care of it but they never scheduled a time or place to review the punch out list or to schedule to get them fixed. We have been calling and they've not been returning our calls. We thought they were out of business actually. Then last year all of our windows sills rotted and again, with the paint that wouldn't have happened. We replaced all of our windows. The window company actually reached out to Hoosier Permanent Coatings and they are still in business as you probably found them in your system. They said well because we didn't pay them that last amount our, warranty is null and void. So we've been trying to call them, we leave messages and they don't call us back. If we talked to them maybe this thing can be settled.

We live in an older home, built in 1947. After much research we decided to make the switch from regular paint to the newer, more permanent coating style of paint. We selected Hoosier Permanent Coatings as our supplier last October---and weather turned against us before we could get the job completed last year. Hoosier Permanent Coatings, held our price for 2014 and stayed in touch with us as the weather began to warm in the spring (this year) to get us on the schedule at a time that was convenient for us. In addition we had significant window repair and replacement being done (by another contractor) that had to be coordinated along with the painting job. In short I cannot say enough good things about Hoosier Permanent Coatings (HPC) and particularly their Office Manager, Rosemary. While I was having serious challenges with the window contractor, HPC was with us every step of the way. When it finally became time for them to do their job---they arrived on time, worked extremely long days, all with great care, and did the most beautiful job! Rosemary communicated regularly regarding what would happen each day...and that's exactly what happened. Their crew supervisor (I forget his name)--was terrific as well. Very respectful and professional. Everyone of the crew was thoughtful and courteous. A manager came by the job each day--to be sure I was satisfied and to see if I had any additional questions.
I cannot say enough nice things. I would heartily recommend Hoosier Permanent Coatings to everyone that is considering this service. Our house has never looked better!
House was originally painted in 2006. Advertising from company says paint lasts a lifetime, but unfortunately it doesn't....Nothing lasts a lifetime and warranty is only good for owners at the time of service. With our initial telephone call I was told that the person I needed to schedule with was out of the country for 2 weeks and they would have him call me upon his return. After almost 3 weeks, he didn't call so I had to call the office back. The process of getting him out to look at the areas that needed to be touched up took several more weeks, each time with me calling the office. This was also very frustrating since the only person that could help me worked part-time, so it was hit or miss to reach her when I called, and it was hit or miss for her to return my telephone calls. After several weeks I was finally told the painter would be out on a certain day to do the work. He and I walked around the house so I could show him the areas. It was kind of a wasted effort as he missed spots I pointed out. During the initial painting in 2006, the garage windows (2) were not painted at all. He took care of those, as well as having to repaint 3 kitchen windows....All the windows that were done were painted shut AGAIN!
"Our lifetime warranty is for as long as you own and live in your home and is transferrable for 20 years. I wish we could have given you a better experience but I'm happy to say that 8 years later we are still standing by our warranty. All warrantee work must be inspected by owner of HPC. Thanks for taking the time to review."

The job went great. Once we got on their schedule everything went very smoothly and even with all of the rain, the job was done in less than two weeks.
the painters and carpenters were very friendly and professional. We went around the house for a few touchups at the end and did a great job. Our house is easily one of the best looking houses on the block now.
With it being a permanent paint I am looking forward to never having to paint the house again. It has a 20 year warranty which makes the high one time cost well worth it as the paint lasts. The paint is very vibrant and I hope it holds it's color as well as they suggest over the coming decades.
Response from Hoosier Permanent Coatings
"Thank you very much for the review. Your warranty is good forever as long as you own the home and can be transferred for 20 years."

bad start. they gave a discount for being flexible with when they would get it done last fall. they did not get it done last fall so we just finished the project this spring. bad planning on their part, wife not happy about that.

the work was high quality. they put new weather stripping on the doors that they painted. the owners were responsive by calling but it did not get things done any sooner

Their office coordinator, Rosemary is terrific. she put up with our whining and was still pleasant,. no small task

We are happy with it. They were able to come out and do the work for us even though we were on vacation. They got us ready for the winter so that we won't have any leak damage. They sealed the leaks, and will be doing the remainder of the work in the spring. They were very professional, and do high quality work.

HPC sent carpenters to do the trim replacement a couple of weeks prior to the painting. They did both homes on the same day.
About 2 weeks later they started the painting and were able to do the primer coat in one day. Weather prevented them for completing the job the next few days, but they did come back several times to finish up. The final walk around was very productive and touch ups were done. I would say overall they were very accommodating, and did what they could considering the wet weather. I do think the paint job looks very good and the quality of the paint is very high. Time will tell how the quality lasts and what their response will be 10 years from now if we need touch ups.
