Good job! They did everything we asked at a good price. I recommended to two other neighbors, who hired them.

He did assess and it needed to be removed - too much trunk damage. Returned the next day and took it down. Good communication, since I needed to secure our dogs before they arrived. Quick work. Excellent cleanup.

Bryon removed 3 large difficult pine trees in our side yard. We had a time crunch and he was super flexible to fit us in around other jobs he had already scheduled. He was thorough, efficient and completed the job as hired. He was on site each time he said he would be here, and left the property completely clean. They hauled away every single stick and branch! We would hire Bryon again!

They were prompt and very efficient. They were here at 9am and everything completed by 12 noon, Brian even mowed my lawn. This was on one of the most humid and hottest days this summer!  I am recommending Hooten Tree Co. to anyone who wants  honest and efficient work done . Excellent! <br />

Had been waiting for another Angie's list recommended tree service company to provide an estimate for over a week without hearing back.   Read the reviews on Bryan Hooten's company and called.   They came out that evening after I got home from work, described what they would do and offered a very competitive price and gave me a written estimate.   I accepted on the spot.   They had one or two jobs ahead of me and were also delayed by rain a few days but kept in touch with me.  They called  me today at work  (first day in a while without rain) and  said they would take care of the tree.  I came home at lunch and they were well into the job.  Orange safety cones were in place on the sidewalk near the work site to provide any pedestrians with warning that work was being done.  After trimming off the peripheral branches, they perfectly landed what was left of the trunk in about the only place they could.   I had to return to work but when I came home later, the remains of the tree were gone and they had done an excellent job of cleaning up.  I would have no problem recommending this company based on friendliness, timeliness,  safety, ongoing communication, offering a fair price for a difficult job, professionalism and doing exactly what they said they were going to do. <br />

Brian and his colleague were very knowledgeable and professional. They came out on a Saturday on a last-minute request and work was done quickly and very well. They suggested cutting back a bit less of the tree to be sure not to kill it, which was much appreciated. A+!

Bryon was great, as always. Came out for an estimate the same day I called, did the work the very next day. Fast work, great clean-up, no complaints. <br />

It was a big tree. They're down to earth. They do what they say. He is a good guy. We've used them before.

Hard to get in touch with also. And broke several walkway stones.

He couldn't get any ladders in our backyard, so he had to climb the tree to cut it down. They also couldn't get any trucks in our backyard so they had to carry them out. They cleaned up every bit of their mess and they did a wonderful job. They are fair with estimates and they always do what they say they will do. When they left you couldn't even tell there was work done, and we had a large job done.

I called over the weekend and Bryon came out on Monday to give me the bid.  His bid was less than a competitor and he said he could do the job the next day.  He arrived as scheduled and the work was done as agreed upon. <br />

They did a very good job and very efficient in cleaning up afterwards.  This was actually done at my son's property and he was very happy with the work done.  Due to not having a chipper they had to load trucks and trailers with the wood and that made a lot of additional work for them in sawing limbs, etc, in sizes that could be loaded and transported away. <br /> <br />

We had a pleasant experience with Bryon.  He and his workers have done a wonderful job.  Their Angie's list coupon also offers generous savings.  But again, they did a great job and cleaned up completely after the job was done.  They also did some extra things that we asked, and did not charge us extra dollars. <br />

We called them on a Friday, they came out to do the estimate on the following Tuesday, then they came out the next day, Wednesday, and did the job. From start to finish it was less than an hour for the whole job. They cleaned up the mess and hauled it away. We are very happy with Hooten Tree service and would definitely use them again. <br />

I found Hooten's Tree Service on Angie's list as I looked for someone to take down a big mulberry tree that had a large branch sagging and banging against the roof of my house.  The branch and the rest of the tree appeared to be ready to fall onto the house, so I was in a bit of a rush.  Bryon and his crew responded quickly and, though citing a large job slated for the afternoon, started work and took down the offending branch almost immediately, with a written agreement to take down the rest of the tree the next day.  Included in the written agreement he allowed me to pay over time for the work after an initial deposit.   It was about three days before he returned after I'd called to ask what had happened, and with the second visit the rest of the tree was down.  <br /> I had difficulty watching him work with a chainsaw.   I know a bit about handling equipment, having worked before for a landscaper and having studied landscape maintenance in a certificate program at a junior college in my youth.   Though he climbed safely, I was afraid he'd injure himself with the saw.  His handling of it is flashy, but not safe.   <br /> Verbal (not written in the contract) implication the crew would clean gutters and stack the wood was apparently forgotten.  I have no difficulty with that, because a friend has claimed the wood in exchange for repairing my guttering. <br /> Bryon and his whole crew were very respectful and polite.   I am still impressed by the willingness to accept payment over time. <br />

He got the job done fast and was mindful of tearing up the yard by not using large machinery. <br />

Mr. Hooten returned my call quickly.  He came the next day and gave a written estimate  He started immediately even thought the weather was very cold and there was snow on the ground.  The price he gave was extremely competitive.  It took several days for all the work to be done.  Because he does not have a bucket truck and does all the cutting by climbing there was some damage to some small evergreens under a large tree.  He discussed that it would be probable that some limbs would be lost when he gave the estimate.  That was understandable due to the way the tree was growing.  There was one misunderstanding.  I had asked for the wood from a couple of the trees for my step brother.  They left the small stuff but took the large wood pieces off.  Mr. Hooten didn't think  the large pieces would be wanted.  He asked what he could do to make it right and we came to an agreement that he would make it up by cutting another tree.  That satisfied me.  I also had to ask that he fill some hole he left in the yard with his truck.  He left and was back with dirt the same morning.  <br />

This is probably the third time I have used them. They come right away and are always on time. Their prices are very reasonable. The company is pleasant to work with and they provide excellent service.

Bryon showed up at the time he had said he would and got right to work with his two helpers.  It was a very hot humid day and the work was made more difficult because the trees were all on a steep bank covered with large crushed stone.  They got all the trees down and most of the work done the first day.  The next day he called to say he had an emergency job, but he did show up later in the day as promised and finish all of the work.  Overall a good experience. Bryon was very helpful and placed the logs where I asked as they worked along through the day.  This is hard and dangerous work, and I was glad to get it done by a professional. <br />

I had called several other recommended tree service providers in Bloomington and none would call me back. I found Hooten's on Angie's List and I was skeptical since I had not heard of them before, but so glad I found them. They came out the day I called and since I was at work, they left me an estimate in the front door. When I got home, I saw that the estimate was to take the whole tree or to top it (which I would never do), but all I wanted was a l large limb removed. I called them back that night to explain and they came back out immediately (wihtin 30 mins) to give me another estimate. It was a fair price so I hired them. They arrived when they said they would and did such a great job with the one limb I asked if they could do another on the spot. They did. They cleaned everything up. <br /> My parents also could not get anyone to return their calls, so they called Hooten's and were very pleased with their promptness and their work. <br /> Next time I need tree service, I won't waste my time calling anyone else. <br /> P.S. I believe this company is run out of a home, so don't be put off if the woman answering the phone just says "hello" and not something professional like "Hooten's Tree Service, how can I help you." She is good to work with and so is the crew. <br />
