In the past he has done excellent work for me and this time the work was done well except for the kitchen counter top which was ordered wrong and then installed with a noticeable lip. He looked over the measurements very carefully and we were going to order the counter top together but because of a foot problem he asked me to go without him. I was nervous to do this but he said everything was clearly on the forms. The store asked if we wanted a template and I called to check with him but he said no. When the counter top came in he was surprised that the long piece came in two pieces. Not only does the pattern not match because it is in two separate pieces but when it was installed he was unable to get the ends to come together evenly so they were left with a noticeable lip. When I mentioned I was unhappy with the job he said everything was on the list he gave me. He blamed the store and myself. 10

It went  really well last time I used them it went really well as usual. I would highly recommend them.

Richard Hoover is just great. We still use him. He became our handyman. Whenever something breaks, he just comes on over. He is a very meticulous man. He might get on somebody’s nerves because he takes his time, but he does an excellent job.

Mr. Hoover was in and out.  Only worked about 3 - 4 hours himself, and then last two days had another gentleman all day working. <br /> I don't think he realized the amount of wood work that needed painted.  But very satisfied with the work and would hire him again. <br />

It went very well.  He was very accommodating to our work schedules and got the project done very quickly.  He also gave us some good advice to call an HVAC service to have a dehumidifier connected to out HVAC system to prevent the bathroom vets from mold because our basement is very humid. <br />

He was great. His fee was very reasonable. I will use him again in the future.

Everything went well.    Mr. Hoover was always on time.   Did a very good job of straightening the studs and replacing the drywall.  Everything is level now.   Drywall was replaced, taped and finished.  Quality looks very good.   Work was done around my schedule and completed in a reasonable amount of time.   Mr. Hoover also provided me some tips and pointers about how to do future work on my own. <br />

We used them quite a bit. He does good work. He gave me a really good professional result at a reasonable price. Some might consider him slow, but he is just a perfectionist. He did what was expected and did it well. It was in 2012 and we're still happy with the work.

Mr. Hoover did a great job.  He was out of town when I initially e-mailed him, but he replied to my e-mail and let me know when he would be back in town.  He contacted me when he returned and set up an appointment for the next week to give an estimate.  He was punctual and professional.  We scheduled the repairs to be done the following Monday (patching) and Tuesday (texture and paint, after previous day's work had dried).  I like that he gives an hour window for his arrival time rather than expecting us to be home all day or even all morning.  He worked with my schedule since I pick up and drop off at two different schools.  Again he was very professional and did a fantastic job!  As a side note, he is also very patient and understanding.  I failed to tell my four year old not to touch in time.  Fortunately, Mr. Hoover had not left yet and was very kind about coming back in to retouch the spot.  When I had our son apologize, Mr. Hoover told him it was alright and he probably would have done the same thing at that age.  From a mom's perspective, that was priceless. <br />

I received 2 other quotes before I contacted him that I absolutely could not do.  I kept getting told that because my home was so old and the door was original to the house that it had to be custom built along with the frame and would cost thousands of dollars.  I just could not accept that.  Richard came out quickly and looked at my door and told me he would have it done within the week and he absolutely did.  He found the parts he needed and replaced the doors and replaced some of the framing within 2 days.  It was a lot of work to do.  He and his other man were very polite and professional and I would use them again. <br />

Richard & his crew were polite & professional. Job was completed in three days. We are very satisfied with the job & appreciate his suggestions on maintaining the surfaces. We intend to use Hoover in the future. <br />

I read the reviews on Angie's list and decided to go with Hoover's. He came out and gave a fair estimate. The ceiling fans were straightforward in the work needed but the fence ended up taking more time and effort than what was initially thought. The price went up accordingly. He was very professional and easy to work with. The price is good for great work. <br />

He's great. He was dependable. He explained everything. He's very professional with the job. The first job was so great that he's coming back and doing another job for us.

I felt very confident in Mr. Hoover and his staff's work and understanding of the project. He talked me into a little more work because it was necessary. I am very glad I did the extra and probably should have done more. I wish I had known about him when I first had the deck done because he did such a good job using better materials, cedar, and explaining how much longer it would last. His assistant was very professional. <br />

He was able to rekey the new one so old keys would fit and was very puntual and professional, as usual. <br />

Great work!  <br /> I had attempted to move a light switch myself for a kitchen backsplash project and realized I was over my head. <br /> So I called Richard to help.  He was extremely punctual answered immediately and stopped by the next day to look light switch relocation to see what he would need to complete project. <br /> Even though I wasn't his only project he came back and got the project done a couple days later.  Not used to turnarounds that quickly.  In our original discussions, we has just discussed having him rewire and relocate the light switch, but later I also wanted his help with drywall.  He nicely included the drywall work into the project, it was great that he went above what we originally had agreed on. <br /> Quality wise Richard was using the best components.  He could have used cheaper parts but instead he used best pieces to make sure it was the highest quality project.  For electrical work that is a big deal to me.  It was also nice the he wasn't shy with explaining his techniques to me. <br /> We will definitely use Richard for projects in the future and would recommend him to anyone else looking for someone that can handle any sort of house projects. <br />

Everything was completed to my satisfaction. I have been using Richard for the past several years for a number of jobs around my house. He is very conscientious and meticulous. He is a busy man but he is worth waiting for. <br />

Richard arrived at my house within 30 minutes after I contacted him.  He expertly repaired the ceiling fan light switch.   The price was more than fair.  I will use him again. <br />
