Arik Andreasen is a rip off artist. I paid him $900 to dig up concrete cinder blocks and reposition them down a hill. He said is wife was his. Then he shows up alone and works on day 1. On day 2 he found 2 people off the streets who had 0 experience and the end result was a joke. There are brick pieces wedged everywhere and the hand rail is not stable and leans in and the stakes were not pound in. A horrible job! Then he decided upon himself to give my phone number to those 2 people he found and they told me he stiffed them and did not pay them.!! I had to send them a text showing them through paypal he was paid. He is incompetent, his work is very poor and he stiffs his workers. Run from this guy. He is a good talker but should not be in this business.

I would not recommend him to anybody.

7 January 2022 Happy a New Year, I am writing regarding the email you sent me on Friday, November 19, 2021<homeownercare@homeadvisor.com Unsubscribe Fri, 19 Nov 2021, 18:18). I hired Arik Andreasen (A2Z Fencing Decking Residential/ his office # 517-3011475 and his cell # 910-581 5833), and we agreed that he would install a white vinyl fence with double gates. (Please see the attached email from Arik and you) to carry out on Monday, November 22, 2021. I am writing to you because I do not believe the service has been carried out as we agreed. We agreed: 1. White vinyl for materials would cost $3,100.00 2. Labor cost would be $1400.00 that is $12.50 for the installation of 112ft fence. 3.Will pull rocks so the gate can open will one move the rocks will stop when we hit the dirt 4. Will drill/cut concrete to fit post in for gate 5. The white vinyl fencing will follow the terrain of the ground 6. Will remove and dispose of old fencing. 7. Job will take 3 days to complete from start to finish 8. Will need $3500.00 cash upon showing up on Monday 11/22/21 morning at 9-10 am From his side, unfortunately, the agreement was not carried out because On Monday, November 22, 2021, Arik and his three helpers showed up and started removing the old wood fence. I wrote him a check in the amount of $3,500 (advanced money). He took the check to my bank, Chase Bank, to cash it, but the bank refused to cash it because Arik has no account with them; therefore, I went to my bank with Arik to cash it and he received the $3,500 cash. The fence was installed halfway on one side but had many defects (unstable posts, misshapen boards, gaps in fence, no double gates, scratches and holes against fence post, and Zig Zag), and Arik did not work on the other side. When I asked him to fix his mistakes, he refused to do so and insisted on giving him an extra $200 in order to fix his errors. He left with his two helpers without finishing the job. He has my way or the highway attitude. I have videos and photos to prove my case. I had a fence that looked like it was installed by a non-professional. I had no choice but to hire a new person to finish the job. I paid him $1,200 just for the labor to correct Arik's job and finish the rest of the fence and the double gate. As outlined on Consumer Protection (www. consumer protection.govt.NZ), services must be: carried out with reasonable care and skill fit for the particular purpose we agreed on carried out within a reasonable time charged for at a reasonable price. The service I hired Arik Andreasen (A2Z Fencing Decking Residential) for has not been carried out as agreed in our contract/email from you and his email. I hired him because of your recommendation. Under the Consumer Guarantees Act, it is my right to seek a resolution from a service provider if one of the above guarantees is not met (items from 1-7 are not met). I do not believe this job was carried out with reasonable care and skill. Therefore, I am writing to inform you as a reputable company to ask him to make full payment of the following: 1-$1200 Hired professional person to finish Arik unfinished 2-$759.91 (5 Each 6x8 Richmond Fence = 172-8651) (4 Each 5x5 x96 Richmond Kit = 172.8652) 3- 77.03 (U-Haul Rental Truck) to carry this material to the house.
