Arrived on time both for estimate and repair work. Explained each step in detail. Area was cleaned satisfactorily upon completion. I would not hesitate to contact this contractor in the future. <br />

Overall my experience with Hummingbird was excellent.  The quality of their work was top-quality, they finished the job in the time frame that they said they would, and for the agreed upon price.  The owner (Ken) was responsive in his communication, and you could tell that he wanted to make sure that we were satisfied with the work that they had done.  They only reason for 'good' grades above is because the price was a little more than expected even though it was the price agreed on, and they ran a little late a couple of days. <br />

Very professional from the first phone call. After meeting with them and receiving their bid we did not look further. They booked us about two weeks out as their schedule allowed and were very timely in starting and throughout the entire project time frame. Always very friendly and professional. Would use them again and highly recommend them. <br />

We originally contracted Joe Bishop out of Wichita, KS to install a bathroom in our basement. However, after months of much stress and lack of communication with him and his partner, Joe Gunn, the job was never finished. We eventually had to cut our losses and find someone else to finish the job. Ken with Hummingbird was able to finish the job quickly and efficiently. Bottom line: I would strongly recommend against ever using Joe Bishop or Joe Gunn to anyone. What a nightmare! However, I would highly recommend Hummingbird Construction for a pleasant, stress-free experience. <br />

It was a marvelous experience because they exceeded my expectations. Everything was great.

It went good.  We had some severe winter weather that caused delays in the erection of the building. The owner expects the best work possible and his employees give him that. We saw them work together well. They were always cleaning up after themselves. <br />  We are very pleased with our new building. Our new garage/shop was built to perfection. We would recommend Hummingbird Construction. And we will use them again. <br />

In August 2013, we hired them to repair soffits, eaves, and yankee gutters. The house is 100 years old, is still all-wood, and we are very particular about having things fixed properly to last another 100 years. It is also 3 stories tall, so some areas were 25' high. They properly repaired broken and missing corners, replacing the wood and then priming and painting the areas. They sealed the yankee gutters (not many people know how to work with this style of internally-built gutter) and made everything look like new. They came when they said they would and worked on the job until it was finished. No starting then gone for two weeks and finishing later like some contractors do. We got what we paid for, and extra (they painted other areas that needed touchup "while they were up there"). They came quickly, gave a quote, and stuck to the quote. We plan on hiring them again this spring to build a new deck on the back of the house. Very very satisfied!

Everything went excellent. I was very happy with the work and the end result!

The job went extremely well.  The part that took the most time was getting the dirt work and forms up for the stem wall.  After that pouring the concrete and installing the fence went really quick.  I was completely happy with the price and his work.  I felt like I could trust him and his workers. <br /> OVERALL EXTREMELY GOOD EXPERIENCE. <br />

My experience with Hummingbird Construction was very good.  My first contact with Ken Jeter was over the phone on a Friday afternoon. I met with him the same day and gave him a copy of my plan to review prior to coming to my site for an estimate.  We met at my house on the following Monday where he reviewed my specifications.  He had a price for me the same day and we scheduled the work to begin the following week.  Throughout the project Ken and his crew were very professional and worked well together.  I was working on other projects within my house at the same time and asked Ken several questions about how to do things.  He was happy to explain things to help me even though it was not part of his scope.He also allowed me to use his chop saw for the project I was working on.  <br />

I was happy with their services and would hire them again. They were professional and timely and completed their work. They seemed like they were genuinely concerned and did a little extra. The price was reasonable for the amount of work they did. They were great to work with.

All phases of the work done by this company were excellent.  Ken immediately recognized it was a drainage problem that was  causing my room addition to settle, resulting in cracks in the inside walls.  He gave a fair bid, then he and his crew added fill dirt and poured concrete, as well as  moving sprinkler heads away from the foundation.     <br /> <br /> The concrete work he designed for this utility area of my yard is fantastic.  It runs the full length of the room addition, angles over past the kitchen window and back garage door, making a roomy surface in the formerly sunken corner, then all along the back of the garage, around the corner, and under the gate ... a total of approximately 54 feet long and 3 feet wide along the walls.  In addition to assuring rain water will now always drain away from the house, this creates a neat place for the charcoal grill, recycle containers, fire pit, hose reel cart, and a couple of upright storage sheds.   They did a terrific job, and I think the whole thing is beautiful!  <br /> <br /> I could not be more pleased with the repair of the inside walls which involved some re-taping, a lot of patching, and sanding until the walls were perfectly smooth.  These guys did a much better finish job than the original builder did!  Fortunately, I had enough of the same wall paint left rom the last time the room was redone.  They did a very nice job of applying that.  The room looks great!      <br /> <br /> Ken and his crew have the attributes a person always hopes for when  hiring a contractor ? honesty, meticulousness, congeniality, punctuality, and attention to detail ? to name a few.  They worked hard and fast, completing the job in a timely and outstanding manner.

I am very satisfied with the quality of the work that was done at my home. I would definitely use this company in the future. The work was done exactly as promised and the work was complete on time.

Ken, the owner of Humming  Bird Construction was very professional and friendly.  He did what he said he would when he would.  There was no hassle over getting the work started and completed in a very timely manner.  The crew that he had working for him were courteous and proficient.  The cleaned up after themselves very good.  No trash was left behind even in between work days.  They even took notice of a couple extra areas of siding and replaced those at supply cost only.  <br /> <br /> Before final payment Ken and I walked around the job area so that I could inspect things and make sure I was happy with the job before I gave final payment.  There were just a couple of areas noted to the garage door that required touch up and was seen by both of us and taken care of immediately by his crew member. <br /> <br /> One thing I appreciated about Ken and his company was the fact that you always got a person when you called.  There was no answering service or machine.  The company is based out of Goddard KS and may be a smaller company but they do BIG work.  My job may not have been a big one, but they never made it feel any less important than perhaps a bigger job.  Their work looks great.  Ken helped me work with my insurance, but never asked me to sign something guaranteeing his company the work before submitting an estimate to me.  He made a point of making sure that his work and my house didn't look like a "patch job". <br /> <br /> I would highly recommend  this company. <br /> Humming Bird Construction <br /> 1600 Winterset Circle <br /> Goddard Ks 67052
