On 4/10/2017 I paid 1/2 down 2500-dollar, for Hurricane Fence to install a cement patio, and the rest was due after the job was finish. After about a month I contacted Hurricane Fence to find out what was going on. They inform me that someone will be out the following Monday. No one showed up so I called Tuesday to cancel the job and get my 2500-dollars back since they had not started doing any work. I begin to call and email the Hurricane Fence several time and I actually went to the address listed on the web-site to talk to someone. The address was just an office building that they appear to store supply. The only option I had left was to take them to court in order to get my money back.

Hurricane Fence was the only company that offered me a stained fence for the same price others were charging for a non stained fence. It was an easy decision and i am very glad i did - my fence looks the best in my neighborhood as every one else has a fence that turned grey . They did a great job and it only took 2 days

They did a good job, they were just slow. It was an expensive product. They were on time for the appointment, but there were delays in getting the appointment, in other words, late shipments and this and that. When they said they were going to show up, they showed up. I had a second job done and I am sorry I did not use them.

"We were hire to installed a horizontal fence with a sliding gate which could not finish because Mr [Member Name Removed] (home owner)] was doing the concrete work AND we could not installed the V-track until he was finished. It took him over 6 months to do it ! At the time of sliding gate installation we could not finish the job and had to installed the gate in a way they could open and closed to secure their property while all this time Mr [[Member Name Removed] (home owner)] was finishing the concrete. They were quote a gate operator and the labor. They wanted us to installed the operator for Free. We talked to them about making their fence nice installing it with 6x6 posts and gave them the idea of buying caps for their posts . Because I said caps on the posts, they said that we were contracted to put caps on the entire fence. We finally try to help them out and agree to charged them for the material costs for the caps and did not charged for the labor. We had to make all kind of adjustments to the sliding gate at no extra cost to them because it took so long for us to set our V-track and make proper adjustments for the operator. They purchased the stain for the fence and only wanted to used a 5galon container to paint both sides of the fence . All they kept doing was trying to get things done for free. After we put the first coat of paint Mr [Member Name Removed] decided that he was going to stain the fence himself just because there few run in a section which could be corrected with not problem but again THEY DID NOT WANTED TO PAY FOR THE JOB."

"I am not sure how she got a miss-understanding that we had never installed a single gate with an operator. I can provided to her multiple of addresses of job we have done before we did her installation. Everything started when after the operator was installed that we found out they were turning off the key on the actuator because they were walking the dogs every morning and did not wanted to used the remote controls to open the gate. Apparently it drained the battery and by going into the box every day they pulled out a wire. After a big storm and a lot of lighting they called us to let us know that operator was not working. We had to go take the control box out to have it send for warranty because they shorten it. We did install the magnectic lock right a ways but because of all the problems costs by sticking their hands every morning they loose a wire. Unfortunately after receiving the receiver from being warranty from our supplier it was defected and we had to send it to have it re-checked. I keep one in operator in stock for us to used and we even when ahead and installed ours so they will not be without one. She called us on Sunday, late afternoons and we went to see her. It only took longer when we had to send the equipment for warranty. She wanted me to tell her the day that is was going to take and I could only give her an approximation. I could not tell her the date we were going to get the equipment back.. The left the cover for the actuator open with the key in it and the key was sized because it got exposed to the weather. We had to take the actuator and send it for repair as well. When we got it back and open it in front of her ,they manufacture forgot to send us the key. I had to request two keys and I brought it to her and put it in her mail box."

It was a minor job. It took a few days to schedule it and that was sort of the only negative, but they had quite a few people that took advantage of the deal. I thought they did a very good job and I would use them again.

Quote - The quote process, working with Martina was a great experience. She was very informative, responsive and true to her quote once the job was complete. I would definately work with Martina again, if she worked for another company.
Removal of old fence - We understood that the old posts would be pulled up but that wasn't the case on most of them. They were just simply sawed off at gound level. There was a thin chain wall we paid to be broken up and removed, however, much of it was left for us to clear up later.
New fence material - The material (fence boards, poles) was very nice, top quality pressure treated thick fence boards. We got the exact good quality material promised in the quote.
Installation of new fence - Here's where the satifaction went south!!! What was promised to be a three day job, it turned out to be 7 days. Some days they didn't show at all or they were showing up at 3:00ish in the afternoon. My husband and I took off work to be there for them and got either a no show day or late in the afternoon arival. Because they showed up several days late in the afternoon, they ended up working into the dark of night. My husband would follow them around with a spot light so they could see what they were doing. It was very clear thier workers did not want to be there and it showed in the quality of the installation. On the final day, (when I said it had to be completed that day) the superviser ended up stepping in and finishing the job himself. Overall, because the job was done mostly at night, we feel important details were missed. Details such as; they didn't back fill the holes dug for the new poles. We had to fill the holes ourselves. We didn't get fence caps for some of the poles and now they are filled with water, (have no idea what to do with that!!).
Overall, I'm happy with the material and price but not happy at all with the installation. It was very frustrating and for a job that cost over $5,000, I feel they could have cared a little bit more and not have been so sloppy.

Overall, I was happy with the finished product. One of the posts set crooked but they came back out and took care of the problem within a couple of weeks. I'd recommend using them, their pricing was favorable compared to some other local companies who install wrought iron fencing
I called the Hurricane Fence and spoke with Martina. She came and met with me for an estimate. I called several weeks later and set up a date to go over the project with her. We met, discussed the job, and gave her a deposit.. The poles were installed and the concrete was allowed to dry for a day due to a rainstorm. The fence was installed the third day. They were punctual, friendly, and completed the job as contracted. They were proud of their job as they should be. The fence looks beautiful. I would definitely recommend their services.
The fence is still standing and has been through at least 3 hurricanes and other tropical storms. I have only needed to replace one board throughout the life of the fence. If they still put out the same product, they are great!
