I had a plumbing project that was started by a company, but the cost increased significantly from the original estimate, so I stopped the work and sent them home. Some work was partially completed, and a friend will be finishing the remaining work.

Company is way to expensive and the work was not mediocre. They use GoodLeap for financing, and they rip you off with that contract as well. Stay away!

Do not hire these people they will rip you off. Just had my mother's heater /AC looked at. He claims it blew his Transformer. But yet he put it back in the box. I Googled the Transformer only cost 30 to $40. He claims it cost $500. Job still isn't complete have to come back and possibly replace the circuit board that was blown due to power surge. She just paid over $700 and some dollars for a Transformer that blew went back with him in box, and the service call that is insane these guys are ripoff artists. If it wasn't for her I would have sent that guy packing. Have them give you an itemized breakdown list of what's wrong and how much stuff costs cuz these guys are thieves. Better yet don't use them find someone else. PS if they read this and they probably will yes it's true and you know it.

Sent a technician whose whole goal was to convince me to replace the unit. Charged me $90. Then sent a pushy salesperson whose who goal was to close me the same day without getting another quote. He asked if he could come back on Friday and I said OK, figuring I'd have the other quote by then. The other quote was way lower, so I texted him to cancel and was told I had to call the office to cancel the appointment because he can only put me on his schedule, not take me off of it.

The issue was fixed but we were robbed cost wise. It only took 40 min to fix the toilet seal and we were charged $714.00

Nonexistent customer service. Still waiting for a call back regarding my system that was installed incorrectly (had to get another Carrier-approved tech to look at system since Hutchinson just wants to sell me a new one, not work to fix/replace the system that started to fail when it was STILL under warranty.) Waited the 12 hours as asked then called 3 times today and NO CALL BACK. I have no AC and I'm not about to buy another unit when this one started failing @ 8 years old. I was patient, now I'm going to make sure everyone I know is aware of my experience with this company. This company is not like it used to be.

Hutchinson was responsive to my needs, and provided timely information given I needed a new heater/hot water heater. Their prices and quote was reasonable. Personally, I wouldn't use anyone else for HVAC needs- one statement says it all when attempting to compare prices and services- you get what you pay for, and I beleive I made an excellent decision by choosing Hutchinson. Installation techs were prompt, polite and careful with my time and home. They are real keepers. Thanks Mike ans Nick! Recommend you 100%.

Went through a long process to find the right contractor for this big job, we ended up with 4-5 quotes and went with Hutchinson after they were willing to work with us more on the pricing and had the best hardware for the money. My biggest complaint was that we had to go back and forth 3-4 times with Hutchinson to get the price we ended up with. I would've preferred the best price up front but I understand they have overhead. There was also a little hiccup with the permits not being sent timely, but that was more of a clerical error. Either way, scheduling was super easy and the end result is awesome, we got exactly what we wanted and the total cost was worth it.

After they looked at my current HVAC system I was offered two different prices for two different HAVC systems. I went with the more energy efficient option. After installation of the unit in the winter, once summer came it started leaking on my floor. After numerous attempts to stop the leak it was discovered my duct work is not comparable with the new unit. Also the hole in the floor leading to the duct work was too small. They knew the day of install and did not tell me until problems arose. The solution was to come back out and have the hole cut bigger and install a new Plenum at $6000. Or the cut the hole, install Plenum and new insulated duct work along with a new cold air return for $12,000, on top of the $9500 already spent for the unit itself. I believe if I was told about these issues up front it would have been a deciding factor on what I could spend and costs could have been saved cause all the work could have been done in the same day avoiding the forced “Al a carte” spending I feel forced into. I feel cheated and sick to my stomach and taken advantage of.

This is the first negative review I have ever written, but I felt strongly that others should know of my experience with Hutchinson Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling – service in eastern PA and NJ SUBJECT: Hutchinson Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Charged $303 per hour for labor only. How Can This Be? Read on. • For a job to replace a garbage disposal that took 1.25 hours, the bill (with “mock discount” of $115.90) was $547.41. Cost of the disposal at your “big box” hardware store -- $90! o YIKES! I was flabbergasted! o Shame on me for agreeing to allow the work to be done. But there is more to the story as follows … • Two weeks prior to the appointment, I called Hutchinson twice. Once was to get an approximate price to replace the disposal. The answer was, “You will find out when the technician arrives”. • After studying the different qualities of disposals, I called Hutchinson and asked what disposal they installed. The answer? “You will find out when the technician arrives”. • So you know, for the technician to look under the sink and keystroke the $547.41 estimate on his cell phone - - less than 3 minutes -- the charge was $79. Why can’t Hutchinson provide this estimate via telephone prior to the technician’s arrival? My answer … because no one would agree to such exorbitant pricing. • I had no issues with the technician – he performed company policy and procedures. o One minor quibble: He said the disposal had a 3 years warranty (actually 2 years), and the service had a 1 year warranty (website says 2 years). • Before posting this review, I sent it to Hutchinson for its review and comment. It’s response said, “… we will not be changing our policy or prices at this time.” o Disturbingly, management’s response was anonymous. It came through its Customer Service Representative (CSR). o Not only was I not given the courtesy of discussing issues directly with management, but also management veiled itself behind its CSR, and it missed an opportunity to shed light on its $303/hour labor charge. • For the future, I had hoped Hutchinson would be my “go-to” call for all they do, but after this negative experience, I will not be making that call. I strongly recommend no one else make the mistakes I made.

Called 2 weeks ago in Sea Isle City for emergency service at 11 PM. Had no hot water and little ones in the house. Phone service lady would not listen but just kept reading straight of the call sheet. Not sure if she spoke English or not (dont care one way or another, but she should be trained to listen). Was told that someone would call me when the shop opened tomorrow morning (sunday). Wondered if that was still emergency service since I had to wait till the shop opened. Never the less. Never heard from anyone. Called again at 11am and a tech said he would be out in 15 min. Never showed up. Called again at 1:45 and he said he would be out in 15 min. Showed up at 3. Told me that I would need a new unit before he actually visibly saw it. Now I have no doubt that my 30 year old unit is shot, but at least look before you BS me. Tried to light the pilot, ran a vacuum on it for 10 seconds (same as I did earlier in morning), looked and said that it was shot and needed to be replaced. That would be $270. $99 for emergency (16 hours late), $99 for the service for a total of $270...including tax. When I showed Einstein that 198 * 1.07 is 214, and not 270 he paused before realizing he was the least math guy in the room. Oh yeah...must be $214. When I asked about the $99 for 16 hour late service, he said "it is what it is".

Brian and team arrived early at 7AM Wednesday March 7, 2018. They did a wonderful job in replacing the furnace and air conditioner. They were courteous, knowledgeable and cleaned up after they finished the installations. They did not waste any time but worked efficiently. Brian showed me some of the new features that were installed.

Called for an appt. and had one set up within the next few days. They arrived within the window they provided and had the drain cleaned out in less than an hour. The serviceman was polite, professional and got right to work. With an older house I know we will need the service again and I will call Hutchinson again.
