Luke was great. When I had to revise scope of our project, he patiently worked with me to revise our estimate a couple times with no compliants. Crew showed up promptly at appoinment time, were very professional, and answered all my questions. They did a great job and left no mess. I would use them again.

Great! I highly recommend using this company. They did an EXCELLENT job insulating our new home and for a good price too. We had three bids for the job and Illinois Insulators had the best price. Luke, who was their representative for our job, was very professional and great about responding to emails and texts throughout the duration of the job. We are very happy with the work they did there and would hire them again if we were to build another home.

Steve the sales person was a joy to work with. He came in a listened to our needs. he did not try to push anything on us. He made he recommendations and then left the choice up to us. The crew that came out was excellent. In and out is just a few hours. Left the house as clean as it was when they got there. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

Last summer, Kevin sent a team out who worked very hard to troubleshoot the problem with my attic fan. They ended up replacing the motor and thermostat and it worked great the rest of the summer. This summer, I noticed that the fan was not running. I contacted Kevin again, and within a week he sent a team out to see what was going on. They ended up replacing the fan. Since the motor in the last fan was defective, they did not charge me a thing. I really appreciated Kevin's responsiveness and willingness to troubleshoot until the problem was solved. I would definitely recommend this company!

Arrived promptly and took extreme care to cover all surfaces leading to the attic access. Were very professional and kept me updated on their progress. Took before and after pictures. Came back promptly to fix a small problem that was not their fault.

We have four units, two duplex up and two duplex down. We had them come in and blow insulation and sound proofing into the ceiling of the two lower units. It was about $4000 per unit. If I was going to refer the company, I would tell a friend or a family member to talk to the company and determine what the problems are because they solve a lot of different problems. We hired them for something very specific. I got several estimates and everybody was pretty close. Their price was fair. They did a good job.

They were hired to blow insulation into our two attic spaces, to take it to a level of R49. While in our garage/family room attic space, they pointed out the poor condition of the insulation on the wall for the adjoining living spaces on the second floor, how it was problematic, etc. The job was amended to have them remove all the old insulation, put in new insulation, and cover with a barrier. Much to my dismay, seeing as how I don't use the garage attic space for anything hardly ever, a recent trip up there revealed that the barrier was falling away where it had been poorly installed. This revealed all the old insulation was NEVER removed. As such, we paid for materials and service we never received. In fact, I'd say we were downright scammed. After discovering this, I checked another job they did for us, which was to provide insulation in a basement room for soundproofing from the floor above. They were supposed to have shot a layer of foam all across the underside of the subfloor before blowing in loose rock wool insulation. I reached up in there only to discover the foam was there, but practically nonexistent. I could touch wood. That was NOT supposed to be the case. SCAM ALERT. DO NOT USE. I'm glad other people had a great experience with them, but I'd also encourage them to go back and really inspect the work that was done. Lesson learned.
Response from Illinois Insulators
"This statement by this client is 100% false. Client paid to have a layer of r19 put over the old insulation not to remove the old insulation. this work was done 5 years ago if there was a problem he should have called us and we would have repaired it. Problem number 2 we were not hired to spray foam the decking of the room above. we were hired to foam the rim boxes then sound insulate that ceiling. I have a copy of his contract I can post it and show it to anyone"

Excellent! Arrived on time, prepared the house and installed it efficiently. I reviewed their work and found it was installed uniformly. Best clean up; immaculate. Not a spot anywhere and since the access to my attic is in my master closet, it was amazingly contained.

I'd recommend them to anyone.

I have a lower and an upper attic. I made it clear to Illinois Insulators that they would not be able to access the upper attic. When Luke and the crew came to perform the work they proceeded to put a hole in the ceiling in a closet in an effort to access the upper attic. When they did this they cut an 8" hole in to the roof. This was not discovered until it started leaking after receiving a lot of rain. When we confronted the company about the problem, the owner was extremely horrible and denied that they did anything wrong. We ended up filing a complaint with the BBB and did re-coup some of the money for the roof repair. Illinois Insulators would not provide any assistance with fixing the closet ceiling. They insisted that the hole that they put in the closet ceiling was our responsibility and insinuated that my son was crazy. In the end they did pay to have the closet ceiling fixed. This was after accusing my son of drinking. Kevin came up with all kinds of excuses and rude statements because he didn't want to take responsibility for what his crew had done. They told us that they are insured and bonded.
Response from Illinois Insulators
"As I explained to the client we are not a roofing company we were never on his roof to damage it. All of are work was done in the Attic. It was unfortunate that he had a leak at the same time"

Came to house when promised and blew in insulation and put insulation on the access door. Completely cleaned up area before the left. The whole process took around an hour. They were very respectful of my house, courteous and professional. I would definitely use them again.
We trusted them in our house, and one of their workers stole two of my watches. Two workers were upstairs in our bedroom to get access to the attic while my wife was downstairs. They had easy access to my bedside table and even went into the other two bedrooms, which they had no right to be in. I have already filed a police report to get this resolved.
Response from Illinois Insulators
"THIS IS 100% NOT TRUE. This is an insurance scam. I contacted the police on this. This client calls almost 2 weeks after the job was done looking for money. ALL OF MY GUYS HAVE FULL BACK ROUND CHECKS AND HAVE BEEN WIH ME FOR YEARS."

It went very well though they didn't ozone the attic the day before because their schedule cleared a day early - and asked to move our work forward.. However, they did remove the charge for that. I would use them again

Due to unforeseen circumstances on their part, we had a difficult time contacting the sales person when we wanted to begin the job but Kevin phoned us back to explain and put us on the schedule for the next week. He was very easy to talk with and the team showed up quite promptly. They explained what they were going to do but we were not prepared for all the dust. I wish someone had warned us. Even though they had placed plastic sheeting all over the place, there was still more cleanup than we expected from the hundred or so 3" holes that were cut along the walls and ceilings. We are still happy with the work that was done.

We originally decided to move forward with this project because we found that there were Federal and State rebates and tax credits available for energy improvements. We had an energy assessment done by another contractor but they were pushing us to do work we didn't feel needed to be done. Illinois Insulators did not try to push extra work on us so we decided to use them. We found out later that they are not an Illinois Home Performance participating contractor and the contractor needs to be registered with them for us to be eligible for those benefits. (That was our mistake for not having done enough research) They did provide us with the paperwork needed to apply for the federal tax credit. The workers were friendly and focused. We are sure that they accomplished what we needed to have done to be more energy efficient. If they had that IHP accreditation, I'm sure their future customers would be happier. Though we highly recommend Illinois Insulators, do your homework to get the most out of the experience.
