It went very well. The attention to detail was superb. Mike was very experienced and used premium finishes. During his estimate, he reported that the water damage to the floor was probably coming from the subfloor and should be addressed prior to his repair. He was spot on. Water that leaked from exterior French Doors had rotted a considerable area of the subfloor. His suggestion saved me time, because I was able to replace the subfloor and doors prior to his efforts. The floor looks so beautiful, much better than I was expecting. Thanks, Mike

Mike found the matching alder from one of his suppliers which was a bit of a task due to the rarity of the product. He took out the carpeting in the great room and hallway and installed the new product to replace it. He refinished the other parts of the house with the original hardwood and finished the new rooms to match. He added a nice walnut wood striping around the transition areas which really set off the attractiveness of the floors. He then installed baseboards in the hallway to finish off the projects. It took about two weeks to complete but was done to near perfection and we love it. We are now dragging our feet to refurnish over the great room area as we so much enjoy looking at the new hardwood flooring. Mike did a great job with superior attention to detail. Recommend him highly.

The project went well. Mike's workmanship is great. If you decide to get a bid from Mike make sure timeline for project is agreed on and understood by both parties. We are very pleased with the professional manner of Mike. Mike uses high quality machines and we were so surprised to see very little dust.

When we first met Mike he took the time getting to know us, what we wanted and what we wished for too. My wife and I wanted to be apart of the install of the hard wood flooring. Mike told us if he was to sand and finish the flooring he would teach us and help us with the install. We came to an agreement with Mike and he did every bit his part to get us started on the flooring install. Teaching us how and what to look for. including helping with the install on the more difficult areas. When it came time for the sanding and finishing Mike was right on time and finished when he said he would. The final job came out as beautiful as we expected. I would make one recommendation...... leave the install to the professionals it was a lot of hard work. If not for Mike we might of had a bad floor install but Mike was on our team and we have a absolutely beautiful hardwood floor. Mike Imel is a great professional at a fair price.

It went great!  They were always very professional, on time and we were very happy with their work.......The floors look amazing and they were pretty beat up in a few areas.  Very little dust as they use a machine which contains most of it........They covered our kitchen cabinets with plastic and put plastic over the doorways so we could use the livingroom while they worked......We would use them in the future! <br />

<p>Excellent workmanship.  Great person.  He's a no frills kind of guy and his work is perfect.  Very nice to talk to and his pricing is medium, but his work is high end.  </p> <br />

He created a wonderful frame in front of the fireplace so that we can add tile. Mike was responsive, and did what he said he would do, when he said it would be done. We have recommended him to two of our neighbors.

Mike showed up on time to discuss the project.  Once we decided to go ahead Mike performed the work as discussed.  The original oak flooring, a mix of red and white oak shorts, was very dirty and stained.  It wasn't clear to us if a stain had been applied to the flooring or the dark brown color was just ground in dirt and years of abuse.  Once the initial sanding was done Mike sent photographs of two area that had stains that could not be sanded out and asked if we wanted to replaced these floorboards or simply have him apply the finish.  We decided to have Mike replace the damaged oak. <br />   When we saw the newly sanded and finished floors we were extremely pleased.  The floor refinishing was done as requested, the repair work was not easy to find even upon close inspection. In fact I had to get down on my hands and knees to find one 1/2"  by 1" void that Mike filled. <br />   We would not hesitate to recommend Mike Imel. <br />

<strong>I first contacted Mike Imel before my house went through escrow. He returned my calls promptly and kept in touch with me until I was finally able to move in. He couldn't come out for a week because he was going on vacation and said he would call when he returned. As promised, called on the day he said he would. He furnished me with a list of references which I requested. I made a couple of calls and I got the thumbs up! I also went to Floors to Go in Grants Pass to inquire of a referral and they gave me Mikes card. <br /> Although he was booked out over a month worked with me to fit me in 1/2 days and worked throughout the weekend to complete the job before I got all my furniture arranged in the house. <br /> The job was a bit harder than anticipated because there was a great deal of wax on the floors, but Mike worked his behind off and was able to complete the job in under 5 days.<br /> Mike is a perfectionist and very professional. He did a beautiful job! He is also very easy to talk to and listens to what the customer wants. I would definitely recommend him and I intend to use his services again in the future for the other rooms.</strong> <br />

Our hardwood floors were a mess. The hadn't been refinished since 1992. We raised a family on these floors and they looked it. Mike came, assessed the shape of the floors and what would need to be done. We discussed products to be used based on our lifestyles and settled on Bona HD since we still have large dogs with large dog nails. We were going to refinish just the living room but Mike explained that due to the way our flooring ran straight into one of the bedrooms it would look funky (my words, not his) if there was an abrupt cut off. He did the living room and the bedroom and they look fantastic. He arrived early and on time. He finished exactly when he said he would and did a fabulous job. <br />
