After getting bids from several other companies, I went with Independent Energy Solutions because they were by far the most professional company. Chris took the time to educate me on solar energy as well as to provide the most sensible design to give me the greatest amount of solar energy production for the available space and layout of my roof. Joseph, the crew foreman, was a delight to work with, and he was very responsive when problems came up. They thought of all the little details to make the installation aesthetically pleasing, like running the cable down along the back of the rain spout to hide it from view and painting it to match the stucco so that it virtually disappeared. Throughout the entire installation process, they went the extra mile, and they treated me as if I were a VIP. <br /> Were there problems during the installation? Yes. The City Building Department lost my application, and then both their inspector and the inspector from SDG&E were annoyingly nitpicky. But IES handled all these problems with grace and elan. <br /> Having my own solar panel system has caused me to look around the neighborhood to see what other solar installation contractors have done and there's all the difference in the world between what they've got and what I've got. I'm so glad I went with Independent Energy Solutions and got the very best. <br />

The guys an Independent Energy Solutions helped me finish the solar installation on my house, ensuring 100% code compliance, and finalizing the connections to the grid.  They were extremely responsive and very quick.   They have since helped a number of the homeowners in our neighborhood fix and/or upgrade systems originally installed by Shea Homes (original home builder) in 2002 and 2003. <br />

I have been researching solar energy for several weeks.  I received quotes from 3 different companies before I met with IES' Sales representative, Chris.  Chris is very knowledgeable about the system, professional and provided a easy to read binder that was professionally created for my house and my needs.  He was not pushy like some of the other companies and worked with me to get the best deal for the system.   <br /> <br /> I am also extremely happy with IES and their installation crew:  Benjamin, Stephan, Mike, Jose and Patrick.  This crew installed my 21 panels in 5 days.  They showed up every day on time, were extremely professional during the installation and cleaned up every day before they left.  I've been a homeowner for almost 30 years and I am very picky on who works on my house. These  guys are a Class Act.  Benjamin explained the whole process and provided daily updates on the installation.  They did not cut any corners and installed the best equipment made for solar energy.   I was completely solar in about 10 days.   <br /> <br /> The admin staff are the backbone of IES.  I strongly encourage anyone who is thinking about going solar to contact IES.

We researched solar companies for a year before going with IES, and are so happy we did. Everyone we worked with, from the owner down to the installation crew was wonderful to work with. We got great financing, and they did all the work for us to get our Federal rebate and the loan.  <br /> <br /> They were knowledgeable and not pushy! They worked with us to design a system and location for our house where other companies didn't want to be bothered  to come up with more creative solutions. We wanted the panels on the back of our house for aesthetic reasons, and our rep was patient to explain the pros and cons of putting them there vs the more logical South facing front. Everything from the size of the system to the location was our choice, I didn't feel pressured to go bigger than we needed, but felt like we got helpful advice to make the decisions that were right for us.  <br /> <br /> The installation team was great, friendly, on time, and they cleaned up after themselves. Our roof was not easy, it's an older tile roof, and naturally several tiles were broken in the process.  The guys worked hard with no complaints, and the tiles were replaced without any problems or extra cost to us. We actually had one company turn US down, saying they couldn't work on our roof because of the tiles! <br /> <br /> I would definitely say we got great service, excellent product for a fair price and would highly recommend giving them a call for a quote.
