INDEPENDENT MOBILITY

<p>I called and I had a serviceman here within an hour. He found the problem, seems I accidentally set the emergency brake . He came, assessed the problem, solved my problem and was ready to leave in under 5 minutes. </p> <p>I have been using this company for this new glider and a previous one, purchased from another company, since 2003. I keep going back and they never disappoint me. </p> <p>They are the best in sales and service. </p>

<p>I have used this company for the past 10 years to keep this chair running. I bought it from an elevator company but the first time I needed service they said they no longer were doing stair gliders. I called Independent Mobility from a flier ad that said they serviced regardless of whether you bought it from them or not. This was back in 2004! They have repaired my chair promptly for a total of 4 times in the years since then</p> <p>The cable had been run over by the chair itself severing it. It is an out of date model, 12 years old and purchased from another company who since stopped doing service calls. He promised to call it in so they could see about out sourcing the necessary parts. I asked about getting a new chair instead. He promised to get back to me by the end of the afternoon to give me time to make a decision. </p> <p>I decided to get a new chair, it was my idea, not theirs. Sylvester came the following morning to take measurements and get the chair ordered. He would have come that afternoon, but I had an appointment I had to keep. He called me on Tuesday as promised at 10am as promised. He was at my home by 11am took the measurements and talked to me about their terms of sale. the service and pricing are more than reasonable. It is almost the same cost as I paid in 2002. My glider has shipped and Sylvester called this morning to let me know it is in transit. As soon as it arrives, they will be out to install it for me. </p> <p>I have used them before and they are my first choice as long as we are both around. </p> <p>. </p> <br />

The service was terrible --- almost put me out of business -- I had a personal care home == Gracious Living, Castle Shannon , <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I would call Independent Mobility when it stopped working( which was often) and sometimes would not even get a return phone call for a week or more.(  My 80 year old residents were using the stairs ) or being fed in bed, because they couldn't do stairs .If I complained------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Sylvester would laugh and tell me " People who don't talk to me  nice might never see me  ""HA HA HA " <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I called the manufacturer "ACCESS INDUSTRIES " and  didn't get much help either ----- AWFUL PRODUCT == terrible INSTALLERS---- ABHORENT SERVICE ------ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Only go with this company if you are planning on declaring bankrupsy  they install -- when it breaks - which is quite often . they don't want to hear from you. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />My problem was compounded by not purchasing the elevator from a reputable company  --NO-ONE ELSE WANTED TO SEVICE It= I was literally between a rock and a hard place..... Again, it almost put me out of business -- AND SYLVESTER LAUGHED !!! <br />
