It was great, they did a good job they cleaned up the whole thing.

Initially I thought they did a good job. However my lights started falling off the mirror because they were not installed properly. Instead of following the manufactures instructions and screwing the lights into the mirror, they used sticky tape and the lights are falling off. Then they go out of business and the national franchise will not stand by the product or give me the contact information for the owner of the Detroit franchise. I would not use any local chapter of this company because national corporate will not stand by the product if the local goes under.

The initial installation went well, however, the frameless shower door constantly soon fell out of alignment (mismatch was 1/4" or bigger) and banged into the fixed panel. Within six weeks after the installation, Inst-i-glass detroit had to send a technician to my house twice to do the adjustment, first time just to reposition the shower door and second time applied silicone caulk on the rubber gasket in the hinge. However, these measures is not effective long term solution and after approx. two months of use, the shower door fell out of alignment again and is rubbing the other panel. <br /> Inst-i-glass detroit admitted the defect and promised to replace the hinge in written communication in early Oct. But I have lost contact with the owner Bill ever since. No email reply, no pikcing up the phone and voice mail box is full, which appears to me a big red flag!!! <br />

Bill came to my house 15 minutes after I called. He was very professional and courteous. He had to order the glass and had it replaced a day later. Any future glass work will be with Insta I Glass!

Showed up on time and did an excellent job in trying to fix the problem. I believe he did his best in trying to address the issue. He even offered to come by again if there is any problem with the same issue.  Will use the service again if needed. <br />

<p>When the handicapped-accessible shower was installed in the master bath at my residence 15 years ago, the swinging glass door was secured with four brushed nickel hinges.  Over the years, the top two hinges became rusted and corroded, causing the glass shower door to lean away from the wall and rub against the floor.  The bottom two hinges, not bearing the majority of the load, did not exhibit such deterioration.  I contacted Insti-I-Glass and spoke to Bill Eisenman, the owner, both by phone and by email.  He sent Chris, an installer to evaluate the situation.  Chris took measurements and pictures of the hinges and glass door.  Within a few days, Bill sent me an email with two options for repair:  either replace just the top two hinges or replace all four hinges.  I appreciated these two options.  I elected to replace just the top two affected hinges at a cost of $159.  I also appreciated the fact that they were able to locate the exact same style and finish of hinges after 15 years.  One hinge was replaced within the week, making the shower door operable once again.  The second hinge had problems with measurement, but they were once again, able to locate the exact replacement needed in correct size,  style and finish.  This second hinge was replaced on January 31, as noted above.  When the first hinge was replaced in late December, I asked Chris, if the company repaired/replaced door wall windows with cracked seals.  When he replied that they did, I asked him to evaluate the middle door wall window in the living room.  This window's seal had somehow broken last summer, causing the window to be foggy between the two panes of glass.  Chris measured and took pictures of the window.  Within 24 hours, Bill emailed me an estimate of $310 for the door wall glass replacement.  I approved the door wall glass install.  They agreed that both hinge replacement and door wall glass install would be done at the same time.  Bill was very flexible with scheduling, delaying the job to better fit my schedule.  I received an email from Bill two days before the scheduled install to confirm the time for 9:30 a.m.  Once again, Chris, the installer, came promptly, greeted me cordially, and informed me of the order of work to be done, ie, hinges first, then door wall.  He worked quickly and efficiently.  When done with the hinges, he checked the swing of the door and had me do the same.  He then cleaned up in the bath before moving to the door wall in the living room.  Again, he spread tarp on the floor.  He explained how he would remove the glass panel and replace with an already assembled glass double pane unit already in the truck.  Even though the outside  temperature was about 32 degrees, there was no noticeable change in inside temperature.  Chris was quick at removing one glass unit and replacing with the new unit.  When done, he caulked around the entire window, inside and outside and advised me not to move the door wall or allow any pets near the caulk for at least 24 hours.  He asked if he could help me move back the furniture I had taken away from the door wall.  </p> <p>I was very pleased with the service I received from Insti-I-Glass;, from Bill Eisenman, the owner; and from Chris, the installer.  I will definitely use this company in the future.</p> <br />

WE NEEDED TO GET SOME WINDOWS REPLACED DUE TO SEAL FAILURES AND WE WANTED TO GET IT DONE QUICKLY BECASUE WE WERE GOING TO HAVE WINDOW FILM APPLIED.  BILL JUMPED THROUGH HOOPS TO GET OUR WINDOWS REPLACED WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS.  THEY WERE ON TIME, PLEASANT, CAREFULL TO KEEP OUR HOME CLEAN AND DID A VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB IN REPLACEING THE WINDOWS. <br />

They accommodated our tenant's VERY specific schedule, arriving slightly earlier than expected  (which was fortunate), not only did the job correctly but had to make two trips to correct a deficiency of a past installer without charging extra.  The work was done right, it was done well, it was done for a reasonable price and most importantly Bill was wonderful to work with. <br />

I used them two months ago.  They replaced 3 windows.  They had broken glass.  They were in and out.  They were very quick.

They arrived promptly, were very profesional and quickly fixed both our door and window. No attempt to up-sell. <br /> We will use them again. <br />

Bill Eisenmam was great to work with. He went out of his way to show us samples and provide information about the product. Chris did an excellent job with the installation. The shower door looks great and we are happy with the job. We will definitely use Inst-I-Glass again. <br />

I needed my front window replaced.I was seaching for a reliable  company. I happen to see an advertisement in the local free newspaper C&G. Instiglass was new to the Detroit area. I called their phone number 248-425-5494 and the phone was immedianly answered by the owner Mr Eisenman. He was very professional and knowledgable. He discussed my needs and set up an appointment for a glass technican to arrive. Instiglass accomodated my working schedule and came after 5PM . The glass technican Chris was very polite and professional. He worked effieicently and even repaired the door frame that the last contracter had not fixed. I was extremely  satisfied with their service!! In the future I will only call Instiglass for all my glass replacement  needs.
