He came right over on a Sunday and helped drain the crawl space then set up schedule to dry out, replace wet insulation and fix broken pipes. Ordered and later installed new water heater. It was a process but Matt and his associates were super helpful, professional and nice.

Overall needs improvement. Positive side the owner is a very nice supervisor to his crew, he likes to teach and is calm when mistakes are made, he also seems to care about his customer relationships, GREAT initial response time to work requests. If he is doing the work by himself you should be good to go. What needs improvement: I thought I was hiring one guy (the owner who came out after I sent the job request on Angies list) to do the work. I was quoted time and materials for a ~7 hr/1 day job all of which seemed reasonable per 'job task', however that became "28+ hrs" spread over 2-3 days and 4 workers of varying skill levels. I had to walk through new crewmembers each day on what the jobs were, what was in progress, and what I wanted completed before new work was to commence. After the 1st day I had a bunch of holes in the wall and a bunch of jobs started but not one job task 100% completed. Not ideal. We worked through the billing issues between a 'quote and estimate'. They thought they were hourly at a rate never discussed and I was given a quote inclusive of time and materials. Would I pay $110/hr for their services? No. I'd insist on a 'quote' for time and labor per job. They are worth a shot if you agree on the price upfront and don't mind a slower job completion to teach and if you can take the time off to oversee the progress. Another key area that needs major improvement from a customer perspective is that they did not come prepared to the job site (missing basic stuff: ladders, electric drill, electrical fishing sticks, special drill bits, expertise in installing thermostat C wire, waiting on another crew member, etc), they also did not clean up after themselves, (biggest issue here was that I was told that the attic insulation was all put back in place and it absolutely was not) I was left cleaning all the drywall holes and drill holes they made along with the endless bits of plastic wiring mess, for every needed hole that they drilled / cut into drywall I ended up with 1 to 2 extra holes that I had to fill/patch up (most were in the attic). Not Ideal. The owner is reasonable and 'he' does good solid work. Give them a shot but just be 100% clear on the pricing and expectations... Not everyone wants to perform clean up duty or crawl around in their attic moving dirty insulation back to where it was after a hired out project.
