We have never been so disappointed with any service performed in our house!!! Rude, unprofessional, argumentative, and just overall a horrendous painting and spackling job done this week. We feel completely taken advantage of we should have gotten our money back because its going to cost us more than the job cost to fix the damage! My mother is not well and I am 8 months pregnant and we are trying to get everything ready for the arrival of my son and we are not just starting from 0 we are starting from -50 because we have to fix the horrible paint job and now repaint things that we never planned on painting. It looks so much worse now than it did before we wish so badly that we had never used this service. James comes to spackle. Missed a bunch of spots and had to be reminded on his next visit. Walls are still lumpy and holes were missed. There was a large hole that was supposed to be patched up that is still VERY visible. I didn't know we had to actually follow him around and point out every imperfection and then go over his work to make sure he did a satisfactory job so he could correct it. Unfortunately, we noticed the spackle to late because we had out trust in this person to do a good job. Every time we mentioned something wasn't right he commented on the "working conditions." He came to look at the job before he started and decided to take the job. If the working conditions were not up to his standard he should have respectfully declined the job. We had pretty much the entire apartment painted and we are still living in it while preparing for a baby and we warned him there would be storage bins and furniture still in the house...not unheard of...he asked us to move everything from the wall to the center of the room which we did. When he came back to paint he said he was able to do the work. After the first day of painting we noticed that it was looking terrible but he said he wasn't finished. He complained over and over about things in the house every time we pointed something it out. Nothing was his fault it was always the lighting or he couldn't keep track of where he was or something was in his way....OK so ask us to move it! He dripped paint all over our floors and put wet paint cans on our furniture now we need to refinish a table. After his second day of painting he said he was finished. NOT A SINGLE WALL IS FINISHED. Not one wall in the house is properly covered in paint. Every single door is completely messed up. There are tons of paint drips and runs that are already peeling and cannot be painted over so now it's even harder to repaint the entire thing because the excess paint has to be removed first. We have a blue border going around the entire apartment that now has to be repainted because he got paint all over it. You can still see tons of white wall all over. He even said he didn't do a good job and that's as good as its going to get. He could see we were unhappy so he said he would come back the next day to fix a few spots. When he came back the next day to fix the paint job it just really couldn't be fixed. It's not like it was a few spots here and there it was literally EVERY. SINGLE. WALL. All of the edging in the apartment needs to be redone. The entire paint job needs to be redone. We started pointing things out to him and he would cut us off and talk over us complaining about this or that in his way or that he couldn't see. Well....we could see it! He lazily walked around the apartment with a dripping wet paint can and brush dripping all over everything sloppily painting in the general areas that we were pointing out leaving paint drips everywhere and not covering the bare patches. He was making it worse! He just did not have the skill to do the job. When we pointed out walls that were not finished he denied it to us and said the paint was just wet. In the end we just wanted him to leave. The paint job unfortunately needs to be redone completely. A few people have come over to our house and notice IMMEDIATELY how horrible the paint looks. Now we do not have enough time to have it redone before I have my baby and we are going to do our best to fix it and have it redone at a later date. Pretty sad because we wanted the house to look special. When we said it all had to be redone he never offered to actually do it he just said it was a shame that we were unhappy and that I would enjoy doing it myself and that it would be "a really fun project for me." Excuse me? There is nothing fun about having to do more work than if we had just painted the walls ourselves especially after just paying someone to do it!! We could not believe how rude he was about it and honestly we deserve our money back!. In any other industry if you do not receive the service you paid for, you get your money back. This man is a criminal! He makes you sign a contract guaranteeing his full pay no matter what and made my mom feel completely pressured and uncomfortable when it comes to money. We regret using this painter so much and are embarrassed of the way our home looks. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PAINTER HE WILL DESTROY YOUR HOUSE!!!
