Midcoast Remodeling and Painting

5/19/2022 Proposal received, signed, and $1,500 deposit mailed. Work scheduled by company for “3rd week of June”. Emails with Michelle French regarding schedule….July 4th email stated “too much rain, rescheduled for first week of August” July 28th emailed Ms. French again and inquired about the schedule. Multiple emails and requests to be put on next Spring schedule….eventually requested returned deposit, multiple times via voicemail and emails. She indicated that the contractor she used would be contacted about returning my deposit and she did not understand why such a small job was not completed by them. 11/17/2022 email received from M.s French re: the 11/4 email I sent requesting resolution and update about the status of my refund and indicating I did NOT want to take legal action. She replied “Yes, I will let you know.” 11/25/2022: Another email sent to Ms. French indicating the “time has come, please return my deposit” 12/13: Angie notified and request made for intervention.

Our house looks amazing!! Just like the original painting when we built 11 years ago. Our experience with Island Painting was nothing short of wonderful. The gentlemen who painted our house were meticulous and not a drop of paint was dropped anywhere. They covered the porches and plants. They were pleasant and showed up on time every day. The job just made our house POP! We would recommend them to anyone for any count of painting inside or outside. Also, a shout out to Michele and Lou who are the owners. They are so easy to work with and really know their stuff!

Terrific company to work with. Very responsive. Returned calls and e-mails promptly. The final product was better than expected. I’d hire them again with no hesitation.

The job came in as quoted and on time. The job site was completely cleaned up and all materials were removed. I was worried I’d find nails or other remnants of the roof they tore off, but they did an amazing job picking up everything. I picked this company because they were local and small business, and it was the best decision I could’ve made.

He did the work well. They are timely accommodating. I was remote with photos because I was living Massachusetts on that time and it was great. They follow through with their promises.

Terrible. Never completed job. They subcontracted installation of a bulkhead and tore out all the prep framing that was already completed. Never finished the job. Don't pay up front for this company!!
