Island SmartHomes was way overpriced and their work was very unprofessional and sloppy. Ed installed security cameras charged $4,000.00 for 5 cameras and a NVR . He further lied on the contract and when the install was completed he wanted a monthly payment of $200 to up keep the camera system. The camera system stopped working after a year. A friend of mine who is in the security camera business said the NVR and the camera's Ed installed were subpar. Furthermore, I had wires hanging from the bottom of my siding all around my house from ED's installation. I redid the installation myself and installed Reolink system which is 1000 times better than what ED installed. I also pulled all ED's ethernet wires that were hanging and exposed, and ran new wires underneath the siding and through sofits. A much cleaner install than Ed's. Don't make the same mistake I did!

I would definitely recommend using Ed for your smart home needs. He was very helpful and professional, quick to respond to any questions we had and flexible on appointment times.

Island Smart Homes was recommended to me so I contacted Ed and advised him of the surveillance service I required. Ed arrived at the appointed time and made an assessment of what was needed, explained what and how he would do it, advised me of the materials he would use and the cost of the work involved. On installation day, Ed arrived on time, diligently and cleanly installed the system, instructed me on the system and how to use it. Since I am not technically savvy, he patiently instructed me of the system's function. Every new system comes with small glitches but Ed was on call and promptly arrived to resolve them. I heartily and sincerely recommend Ed at Island Smart Homes for his professionalism, knowledge and follow-up care.

Ed designed the system and installed it as planned. It was the best investment! His work was neat and on time.

Ed and IslandSmartHomes was an absolute pleasure to work with. He helped us with all our A/V needs in our home in East Hampton. When I told him I wanted him to do the job we didn’t really make a date for him to do the job but when I called him asking him to do the job ASAP because of a personal issue I was dealing with, he had quite a few jobs lined up and actually came to my home that weekend and did the job. Ed and the Island SmartHomes team did a great job on our exterior security camera install at our home. Ed was extremely responsive and was able to come out and survey our home within a few days of my inquiry. We did reach out to a few other companies for this service but felt that Ed was the most knowledgeable and came in at a competitive price point. The install only took about a day and a half to complete and the team was very clean and quiet while working around the house. Everything was explained to us and was laid out in a very clear and simple way...we are so happy with our new security camera system and will most likely look into using Island SmartHomes for other services in the future!

Ed, is one of those rare vendors that actually takes the time to understand what it is you are looking for an then presents a project with a realistic budget in mind.  He is also very dedicated and takes serious pride in his work product.  Ed, had set up my entire in audio video system, internally and externally.  As an example, Ed finished my backyard just before a long weekend.  The next day my router went out.  I sent Ed a frantic email (mainly because I had 15 kids without their wifi devices).  Ed showed up at my house at 9am on a Sunday morning and spent the next 2 hours replacing the router.  That's what I call customer service.  If you are looking for top notch, no cutting corners with a reasonably priced option, then Ed is the person you want to work with.

Island SmartHomes and Mr. Ed Bradley are the best. I happen to be a very critical customer and one that does not settle for "average" work. I take great pride in my home and seek contractors and specialists that care and take pride in their work and do the job as though it is their own house. Island SmartHomes fits my requirements and never has disappointed me in any way. I have had home audio work done as well as landscape lighting work done by Island SmartHomes and each job was completed professionally with incredible functionality. Ed Bradley understands his customers and aims to please. He will not cut corners and will be sure to deliver exactly what the proposal states, he does what he says he is going to do! He is a rare professional in my opinion as it seems increasingly difficult to find such consciencious professionals. I'd like to share an example that indicates the pride and level of caring that Island SmartHomes maintains. Ed was working to conceal the wire tracks on my outside house trim and came to a sticking point. I was not home and he was concerned that I would not like the obvious and easiest way to route the wire and track. He stopped the job and would not proceed until I approved one of the two options that were possible. I have experienced other trades doing work at my home and most would go ahead and take the path of least resistance and therefore, likely the most profitable way for them. Island SmartHomes separates themselves with their pride, customer service, customer satisfaction while using only quality materials and excellent workmanship!

<p>Ed designed and installed an impressive landscape lighting system in my backyard.  I continuously receive compliments on how nice it turned out.  Unlike many others who I received an estimate to do the job, Ed is not a sprinkler guy who dabbles in landscape lighting.  He makes it his profession and his knowledge, dedication and pride in his work shows in the final product.  He only uses top quality products and does so at a very fair price.  I consider myself to be a tough customer to please but Ed and his crew exceeded my expectations.  I will use him again in the future.</p> <br />

Upon meeting Ed I could  tell he was truly a professional  that was passionate about his work and the service he would be providing me and my family. As of course  I met with several other contractors Ed was who I trusted from the beginning. The pricing was on par with the others but if I was going to leave people in my home for days at a time  it had to be the right people. The job went very well. Ed walked me through the purchase; I explained what I was interested and he provided me with options and recommendations. The whole system was pretty reasonable and I can expand to add cameras (which I was interested in doing) when I am ready too. Ed and his crew were very professional and courteous. Showed up when they were suppose to. Got the job done despite some outdoor weather challenges. I would definitely recommend Ed and his crew. Although I was just interested in a security system, they offer many other services that I would love to have! <br />

Ed from Island Smart Homes gave us a comprehensive estimate for the wiring and  installation of a ten camera security system for our commercial building as well as the installation of a music system.  He was professional and easy to work with keeping with a schedule that included coordination with other renovation work that was being done at the premises. <br /> It was a difficult wiring job because of the building's concrete exterior walls and Ed was prepared with a well educated staff who clearly demonstrated expertise in this field.  Throughout the project Ed communicated with us on a regular basis and was very friendly.  We felt his price for the job was fair and accurate.  Would recommend him highly to anyone considering under taking the installation of a security or sound system. <br />

Ed and his crew were amazing. I live in Long Beach after Sandy I hired someone that I used in the past. He did 1/2 the job and then moved to Texas! Ed and the guys from Island SmartHomes not only fixed what the first guy did. He made sure we know how to work all the new equipment.
