Ismael Hernandez Gardening

Ismael was able to make an appointment 2 days after I called. His 2 gardeners arrived promptly at 9 AM as scheduled and worked diligently for 6 hours (less a lunch break). All debris was raked up, an air blower was used to shift the smaller items and dust, all of which was swept up. Both the front and back yards look great, the sidewalks, driveway and walkways were broom clean.

My roommate wasn't too handy with yard tools so I had to bring in an expert to care for the lawn while I was out of town for work. He was very easy to get ahold of and did a great job maintaining the yard. <br />

His prices are very reasonable and I am very satisfied with the quality of his work. <br />

I am extremely happy with the weekly gardening service that Ismael and his crew provide me. He listens to my requests and follows through. I've even hired him to do some extra work, beyond routine weekly lawn mowing, shrub and garden maintenance and I am always pleased with his work.  When I talked with him about converting my front yard to drought-tolerant landscaping, he gave me a excellent referral to a landscape architect that he has worked with in the past. <br /> Ismael is the best gardener I have employed in 20 year...and that is saying a lot! <br />

Ismael is a great guy to work with. We had a small backyard overhaul which involved lots of little projects: removing some plants, installing pea pebbles and bark mulch, grading the yard, installing landscape lighting,  installing sprinklers and sod in the main yard area, and installing stepping stones, groundcover and drip system along the side of the house. Ismael remembered everything we talked about during our brief first meeting on the jobsite, and he made some great recommendations. He called me the very next day with his estimate. His materials were top notch and he does not cut corners. He took the time to match the pebbles and mulch we already had in parts of the yard so everything would look unified. He worked some days by himself, but one day had a team of about 4 guys. They left the yard very neat and did a very thorough job. We are so excited to have a yard we can enjoy and I look forward to hiring Ismael on our next outdoor project! <br />

<p>After purchasing a home I needed a major clean up of the yard. Ismael came and cleaned everything up.  I need to save to completely re-do the landscaping.  He came back in a month to touch up the yard and was honest that there was nothing to do.  I will need him again soon and hope I can make the much needed improvements. He came with his team and was honest, professional and on time.  His price is very reasonable. </p> <br />

We got some really expensive quotes, but the quote that he gave us was very reasonable. He did the exactly like he said he would. He was there every day. He kept me updated on what he was doing. Great.  Ismael works so fast.  I am always surprised because my last landscaper seemed to drag things out over several days and was always calling his crew to other jobs.  Ismael doesn't do any of that.  His crew guys are really nice and polite.  Ismael is really easy going and always fair with his prices.  He's great with advice on fertilizing, planting, and mowing.  I contracted him based on so many good Angie's List reviews and they were correct.  I will always use him from now on. <br />

Mr Hernandez first came to give a few estimates on different aspects of our landscaping. He was very knowledgeable and gave us fair prices on the work we need to do. We called him back a few days later, and he came promptly with his crew to remove an ugly medium-sized pepper tree in our backyard  and a large old stump on our sidewalk. The work was done in a few hours with great dexterity and professionalism. <br /> I am looking forward to having Mr hernandez come over again and take more care of our landscaping as soon as I can. <br />

Over a number of years he was to service my beautiful garden on a weekly basis.  I didn't mind paying his high price because he knew what he was doing.  Over time however he became less responsive, would not handle things when asked and I realized that he was sending "Mo and Blo" to my house instead of coming himself.  I attempted on several occasions to have him meet me at the house so I could explain and show him what I wanted.  In the end, he didn't care about keeping my job or about showing up at the job.  I hired him, not Mo and Blo.  I was paying him $175.00 per month plus extra for every extra thing he was doing plus I supplied all the fertilizer, snail bait, etc.  He wouldn't prune or trim the plants on a regular basis so he could charge me again in the fall to prune - and his fees were expensive.  His weekly people were there no more than 20 minutes and in the end I had to hire someone more responsive.

Provided a prompt and very reasonable estimate, scheduled a convenient time, completed the job in one day, produced aesthetically pleasing results, and made sure not a single leaf or twig was left on the ground before they drove off.

Ismael was hired to demolish a deck and a solid concrete jacuzzi.  Demolishing the deck was the easy part.  It took 2 whole days with 3-4 men, and 2 jackhammers to get rid of the jacuzzi.  On their last day, Ismael and his crew worked for 12 hrs. in the heat.  The only break they took was a short lunch break.  They worked diligently to get the job done in 3 days as promised.  We were  very impressed with Ismael's positive attitude despite the fact that the job ended up being much harder than anticipated.  He always had a smile on his face.  We would definitely hire him back if needed.

i contacted M r. Hernandez on 6-14-12, same day for estimate, scheduled for Saturday 6-16-12. Rescheduled by Mr. H. for 6-22-12on that date he was timely and prepared for the project.

Ismael and his team have been working for me for over a year now, and I continue to be happy with the results.  I have also had his crew trim trees and dig up my side yard in preparation for new landscaping (that I did on my own).  In all instances I have thought his quotes were reasonable and have been satisfied with the results. 

They did a very good job. I currently have a project I will be calling about in the future as well. I expected the price to be higher. He was very reasonable.
