Italo Concrete Solutions

On the surface, they were great, but under the surface not so much in the end. I hate to say the stereo typical unethical contractor, but they turned out to be exactly that in the end. Bottom line, they took my money and walked away leaving, what can only be described as an eye sore. Words cannot do it justice and unfortunately, photos are not able to be attached to the review, so I can only surmise. In the beginning super nice, Louie was attentive to my requests which was that my driveway was spalling really, really bad, and it was only 4 years old. He gave me a price to fill the spalled areas and repair cracks, and then for an additional cost, recommended a sealer that in hindsight, they had zero knowledge of the product or how to apply it. They did not fill all the spalling which I can understand, there was a lot and I accepted that, but mainly focusing in on the rough areas, they did not fill the cracks that they offered up though. The initial application of their suggested product lasted less than a week and was already peeling. I put that down to poor application in the wrong weather climate (it was raining during one of the applications) However, the peeling just got worse and worse to the point that I had sheets of sealer flying all around the neighborhood. Italo Concrete Solutions came back when it got so unsightly and I suggested that we cut our losses as this product looks terrible and is not working and to just grind the rest off and apply a clear sealer, but that fell on deaf ears and Louie insisted on re-doing it. I would say that they just wanted a positive result and what I paid for and if it worked, I would not be writing this. They started coming back a couple of times over a period of 2-3 weeks, at all times, always using my power equipment as they, for some reason did not bring their own equipment, and attempted to re-apply, However, in the end they failed to finish the job, leaving the area of apron and pathway unfinished. The 80% of what they did re-apply is peeling and shedding all over again and barely lasted 4 weeks before it started to peel off. Italo have since not returned or returned our calls, texts or emails. We paid Italo Concrete Solutions a total of $4,734.00 and the driveway looks in a worse state than before they started, again it is a complete eye sore, and they should be embarrassed that this is an example of their workmanship and their failure to attempt a remedy to make it right. They clearly have no expertise at “Concrete Solutions”. I would not recommend them at all and would only suggest anyone who does use them, don’t pay them until the job is completed and to your satisfaction.

Great they did an amazing job

Excellent work! Excellent service! They were able to come out the same day to give me a quote, and fit me in the same week to get the job completed. Pricing was mid-range and worth every penny. Happy we went with them instead of other contractors - the quality of work and the final product were exemplary. My driveway looks great. Couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended.

The craftsmanship was very good. The design opened more space and he corrected a sinking foundation problem.

I wish I could give a 2 tiered review. The work done was really good and done well with good craftsmanship. However, it took them 8 days after the completion of the job to come back and clean up, and even then the clean up was done so half assed it's not even funny. Left a big pile of stones at the bottom of the basement stairs, left the old tile from our front porch on the side of my house, left some rebar and forms in the front garden, and didn't take away the old steel railings I asked him to take because they couldn't be reinstalled. In addition, some other small pieces of wood, an old water bottle, cigarette butts all over my lawn, and a pile of stone were left in the front garden - very disappointing! Word to the wise - do not pay in full right after job is done until they clean up their stuff. My bad - that is on me.

It was a good service, fast and they did an excellent job.
