They did a terrific job! I purchased one of the Angi's specials, and was very pleased with how easy it was to work out a date and time with Monica as to when Jim and his team would come to work on my house. I had a lot of smaller handyman tasks that needed to be taken care of, and Jim and his crew did a great job getting everything done. I highly recommend Jim and his crew to my family and friends.

Do not under any circumstances hire this company to work on your house. In April of 2021, we hired Jim Lambert Remodeling and Repair to finish our basement. The job included cutting holes in our foundation for windows and a door as well as installing a new bathroom. Jim and his wife Monica are the face of the business and they came recommended to us from our neighbor and a local realtor. Over the course of a 6 month period, we were faced with so many situations of poor quality labor that we spent most evenings documenting and photographing what needed to be repaired. The issues encountered were primarily a result of the low standards of quality and the employment of workers who were not qualified or certified to do the work. On multiple occasions, the work performed degraded the quality of our home and jeopardized our safety. Projects had to be re-done multiple times to address quality issues in craftsmanship and basic contracting standards. This resulted in damage to home and materials provided. Some of the most egregious examples included: o Holes cut in foundation for door and windows improperly sealed, resulting in compromised home security, increased energy bill and condensation on duct work for 2.5 months. o Electrical work was performed by an unqualified and uncertified individual which tripped a breaker in our house and could have caused a fire in our house. o The exterior door had to be reinstalled 3 times and was still not done properly to code or per manufacturer instructions. Door has potentially been irreparably damaged as a result. o Door and window framing not to code and Jim refused to take responsibility for having us order the incorrect sized windows costing us more than $1300. Ultimately, we fired them and while we fairly negotiated the early termination of the contract, we have decided to share our experience because after a subsequent 11 months of false promises, James Lambert Remodeling and Repair refused to make good on their promise to compensate us for the windows purchased. We want to share our experiences to warn other potential customers and also in hopes that the company uses this experience to improve their services. - Ashburn VA homeowner

This company has been around for many years and is known for their experience and professionalism. We hired them to completely renovate our kitchen and was comfortable with that decision from start to finish. James and his crew were truly concerned about providing the best service possible. Another completely satisfied customer and I highly recommend.

well... I'm writing this review so we must be happy. Seriously Jim and Monica have been extremely receptive throughout the past year. They have taken care of everything and their team is on time and works hard throughout the process. They have even fixed some minor things on the fly that we didn't even request. We even had one item (electrical lighting) that broke the day before we were trying to do an open house. The Lambert team was immediately receptive and swung by the next morning to fix everything just in time!! We highly recommend them and will keep reaching out as necessary.

Jim and his crew were incredible to work with. They do quality work and consistently exceeded our expectations. Their crew was very friendly and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. We are so pleased with the end result!

It went great. We were working with a tight deadline we rent our property out on AirBnB, and even with bad weather delaying the start; Jim and his crew worked overtime to make sure the job was completed on time.

We have used Lambert for many different projects. This one was a custom built mudroom storage and bench area. Lambert used my inspiration pictures and build everything exactly as I wanted and as promised. Highly recommend!

James and his team were extremely knowledgeable and professional through out the entire process. They were prompt and respectful when coming to and working in my home. They scoped and bid the job correctly from the beginning and followed through on the entire project. They were very communicative about schedule and progress of the work. Overall the quality of the job and the end result were excellent. We would definitely use them again for other remodel or handyman projects in our home.

They make these things so easy! We have a rental property in Virginia and live across the country. It is crucial for us to have someone we can count on when repairs are needed, and James is that person. He & Monica communicate, do what they say they're going to do, and do it well. Hire them!!

Very punctual and professional, all work quoted was completed timely and with great satisfaction. Price was more than fair for the work done and we would defiantly hire again.

It could NOT have gone better! They are extremely responsive - to initial questions, to come out and quote and to answer any questions we had during the process. Workers were punctual. When a problem arose that we weren't anticipating and we had to add to the scope of work, they were quick to answer our questions and adjust the quote so we didn't have any delay in timeline. They also were able to re-use some of the materials we had and did not try to upsell us in anyway. I very much appreciate their professionalism and craftsmanship. Really a wonderful company to work with. HIGHLY recommend - in fact - I did recommend them to friends and they also have expressed the same satisfaction and level of comfort.

This is the second time I have used James Lambert for renovation/repair work to get a house ready to sell (I am a real estate agent). He is prompt, professional, very responsive, and easy to work with. His estimates are very straightforward and he is very willing to prepare a line item estimate so you can see the cost of each service. His crew are all very polite and professional and do a great job. His office managerl, Monica, is great to work with also. She actually answers the phone and does what she promises when she promises. I have never been left hanging with no response. I would readily recommend this company without hesitation.

We were very happy with their work. The gentleman that did the tile, I call him the maestro .Great workmanship. Jim had great taste and advice. He gave us great pointers on what to do with stuff. He gave us good advice without up-sell. We also installed LED lighting. Very contemporary. We got added value. We really clicked. We did painting, tile, plumbing, lighting and flooring. They painted the laundry room as well. Redid the plumbing that allowed us to put in custom shelving. They put up some chandeliers for us. Knowledgeable, straight forward and trustworthy. Didnt rush anything. They fixed things that came up along the way. We are making a list of things they can fix in the future. Once the virus has passed.

Quick and effective remediation. Repaired leak and damaged drywall quickly. Searched for hard to find part and replaced in less time than originally proposed. Cautious and considerate of my family and our space in this restrictive time. My go to for home repair and remodeling.

Everything went great. The team was very professional, quote was prompt and accurate, work was completed ahead of schedule and at the quoted price.

When getting hardwood installed, the installers found that there was a leak in the powder room. The pieces were coming up very wet. I called and they sent someone over a couple of hours later to check out the damage, fix the issue, and set out a fan to dry out the area. Someone came the next day to check on it so it was ready for the hardwood install the next day. I appreciate the promptness in an emergency situation. After the hardwood install, I asked them to paint the baseboards and shoe molding so it would all match. It looks great. The worker completed the job quickly and left no mess. We have been using James Lambert Remodeling and Repair since we moved into our home. They are very communicative and always want to make sure the job is done correctly and of high quality.

High quality work for a very reasonable price. I've had Jim's team work on a variety of things on the house over the years. From kitchen spruce up, to interior painting, to plumbing, to landscaping and patio, to new room addition. Very dependable and finish the job right, no matter what it takes.

Went well. Estimated two-day job actually took only one long day. Result was as I wished and expected.

In fact, we will be using them again in a few weeks for work on our new house.

Jim and his team completely gutted our basement last summer. They installed a new bathroom, new laundry room, home office, storage room, and multi-purpose room. We couldn't have asked for a better finished product. We had them back in the winter to replace a very old bay window with a new one and to remodel our foyer. Both were very dated and now make our house look so much better. We will hire them again for our next project.
