My neighbor and I were in dispute about some trees and rose bushes I planted. According to the county plat map, I was well within my property lines. My neighbor hired this survey company and four hours later, they said they'd had trouble finding a pivotal spot on the back line, which determined the property lines, but had found it. What was drawn up and sent to my neighbor and I was the same as the plat map, but what was taped was not; and three of the boundaries were not even measured or taped to ensure another was accurate. Upon the say so of the surveyor, according to my neighbor, he ripped out all of my trees and bushes and cleared a walking path through some forestry on our land. When I challenged the survey, the company sent someone out with no tools (they borrowed mine, including my tape measure (which they said is better and longer than theirs) and my computer mouse which was not returned to me, leading me to have issues working) who admitted that the survey had not been accurate nor completed, and someone else would be out the next week. They said my property should not have been ripped out or damaged because the dispute was not settled. Now my neighbor has paid for a survey that isn't finished, will have to replace my trees, and I will have to pay for a survey because I cannot trust that when James Mcauley Land Surveying finishes finally that it will be correct. It was even notarized, which makes me think there is quite a bit of fraud happening. Upon seeing other reviews, I can see that this company can not be trusted and is about to send my neighbor and I into civil court, and has cost everyone involved good will and a great deal of money.
