Jay-Crew had designed and installed our landscaping last year. This year we called on them again to add a couple yews in the corner of the yard for privacy. This proved to be a difficult task since so many utility lines funnel through that corner. The crew worked carefully to avoid cutting any lines and to make sure the placement was satisfactory. We have been very pleased with Jay-Crew's work--just wish they offered and quot;a la carteand quot; landscape maintenance services. <br />

Jay-Crew came highly recommended by the company that installed our outdoor living space. Keith was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and very creative. We were very impressed with how wonderful our landscape looked after Jay-Crew was done. We will definitely be using them in the future and are recommending them to our neighbors and friends. <br />

The job went very well. Keith Baughman, Relationship Manger for Jay Crew, gave us a detailed description, including a diagram, of the work that would be done to replace the old patio with a new brick patio (Cambridge Coble Sone Pavers). We were provided with an original estimate of approximately $7300. with the understanding that if more work needed to be done to ensure the stability of the new patio after removing the old cement patio, the price could change. We were not sure if the original cement patio was sufficiently supported being we had to have it pumped up (elevated) twice over a 20 year period that we have owned the property. <br /> After removing the existing patio, we found that the supporting base was mostly pea- gravel and dirt and a lot of extra gravel was needed to ensure that the base beneath the new patio would provide sufficient support. After the job was completed, Keith advised us that he originally planned to use about 19 metric tons of gravel to secure the new patio, however, after finding soft, moist dirt under the old patio after removal, he ended up using over 40 metric tons of gravel to ensure a sound, secure base. He emphasized that a solid base is essential to ensure that the new patio does not sink over time. We really appeciated his advice that it was necessary to add more gravel and approved his decision understanding that it would add to the over-all cost of the job (the fnal price was about $8100). Keith told us that we were only charged for the cost of the extra gravel. The new patio is the approximate equivilant of 27' x 15' and has a unique design with angles around the perimeter that we really liked. Keith provided a drawing of the patio upfront before we hired Jay Crew to do the job. The design that he provided plus his emphasis on creating a sold base that would prevent sinking and would last for years to come convinced us to select Jay Crew to do the job. <br /> We are reallly happy with the outcome - the new patio was raised by about 8 inches. The steps are comprised of pavers that provide a much easier access to the patio from the house than the orignal cement step. Jay Crew also added aqua-sand between the cracks of the pavers and also added the same sand between the cracks of stepping stones supporting our garbage cans in an enclosed area adjacent to the patio entrance. They also added a 30 ft. drain pipe extender to a downspout at one corner of the new patio extending under the patio out into the yard. The patio is about 2.5 times the size of the old one and is a beautiful addtion to our house. We feel we have a very subsantial patio - one that will last for years. Our neighbor commented and quot;that paito isn't going anywhereand quot; (meaning it has a very sound base). <br /> Jay Crew workers were very knowledgeable and experienced. They had all of the equipment necessary to do the job and were timely in completing the patio (completed over about a 5 day period). After completion and before leaving, they filled in the gravel around the outside perimeter of the patio with dirt and seed and did the same for other areas of our property that were flattened by their Bob Cat earth moving rig. They cleaned up areas in front of our house where gravel, sand and dirt were stored and left these areas clean and tidy. They re-installed part of the back yard fence that they had to remove to accomodate their Bob Cat rig. Overall, Keith and his Jay Crew workers were very professional and left a very good impression. <br /> <br />

Keith listened carefully to our needs and preferences and then created an artistic design that incorporated some of our favorite plants with his recommendations for hardy plants that would show off in several seasons. He was accommodating with our revisions. <br /> The crew worked diligently and efficiently to prepare the beds and get the plants in the ground. They tried hard to please. They also installed a small paver patio, which looks beautiful and blends in well with some existing concrete. <br /> A subcontractor did a fine job of installing a large concrete patio in front and some aprons along the driveway, blending these also with some existing concrete. We had some trouble with the sealing coat not covering uniformly, but, as it was explained to us, that is likely the fault of some new products that must meet recent environmental standards. <br /> The company's billing was a little confusing--a minor point. <br /> Overall we are very pleased with our new landscaping and would highly recommend Jay-Crew. <br />

They are good and I am very happy with them. They are very professional, friendly, punctual and reliable. Their pricing is quite good.

We were satisfied. They did a couple of fertilization treatments. After the treatments our lawn looked better.

I called for an estimate, and the next day a gentleman came out to see what all I wanted. He told me, in detail, what all their services would include. After agreeing upon a price (a little more than I wanted to pay, but not unreasonable either), I was put on the schedule for the following week. The crew showed up and started right in. Things looked great and they cleaned up very well after themselves (cuttings, tree limbs, etc.). After that each week they would stop buy to see if my lawn needed mowing. As it was hot summer, it didn't need it every week, and I appreciated the fact that if it didn't need it, they didn't mow, instead of going ahead and mowing just to be able to charge me for it. In the Fall, they did a final clean up of leaves and again the service was excellent. I am using them again this year for fertilization starting in the spring, and mowing in the summer, and I plan on inquiring about some landscaping as well. I highly recommend this company.

Keith works for Jay Crew and he did a phenominal job. He took my ideas and drafted up a sketch of a design. I agreed to the design, and they promptly got started. The crew showed up each morning, worked full days, and then cleaned up each night. They were on target with finish times, and stayed late to meet those dates. The finished result was outstanding. Also, Keith followed up 3 times in the summer to stop in and check on the plants and see how things were going, as well as taking the extra time to water them if necessary, even if i was not home. A great service. I look forward to having him back this spring again for more work.
