Went very well. The owner, Joe, was always available for questions via text or phone. My wife liked the guys who came in and did the work. They were very nice. They were the ones who found a problem caused by SDG&E sub-contractors after performing an upgrade to my service. All is well.

My house was built in the 1950's and had old circuit breakers. I had two faulty breakers, and local Lowes and Home Depot stores did not have replacement breakers that would fit my panel bus bar. Nariel, the technician gave me some options: 1. Replace the faulty breakers 2. Replace all of the breakers 3. Replace the complete panel Nariel was able to locate breakers that would fit my bus bar, so I chose option 2 and had him replace all of the breakers because they were so old. The price was reasonable, and he was able to complete the job the same day. I would hire JC Electric again. Very easy to work with, and professional.

The electrician was awesome.  I like the price and his being punctual.  He even did a follow up.  Everything was good and it was a great job.  I chose him because I got him from Angie's List and when I was talking to him, I found out that one of his cousins works for an electric company and I knew his cousin so that sealed the deal.

It took TWO weeks for them to finally make it to my house. I was out of electricity in 80% of my house! It was a a GFI that went bad causing two breakers to go bad. The warranty company denied me claiming that Jo of JC Electric said I overloaded the circuit so I should not be covered. When I called him, he denied saying that. I asked him to please put it in writing so I could fight the warranty company. He told me in was inconvenient to do so and that he did not want the job anyway since the warranty company would probably not pay him since they were being so uncooperative with me. I told him I would pay for it, please give me a quote. He quoted me $1350 PLUS I needed to go to the city to get a permit ($100 - $300) to get it done. A friend suggested  I called SDG&E for advice. They sent out someone to examine the problem, diagnose it and give me advice how to proceed. I called the electrician they suggested BOB LEIDER, and the problem was a much smaller job than JO had claimed. I did not need a permit and the total bill after changing the two circuit breakers and GFI was $599. LESS THAN HALF OF JC ELECTRIC quote!!! I would not recommend JO to my worst enemy. I was without electricity for almost 7 weeks because he would not simply give me a diagnosis in writing so I could prove to the warranty company that I had done nothing wrong. I am still fighting with the warranty company (HOME CHOICE--THEY ARE HORRIBLE), but at least I have electricity again.I do recommend BOB LEIDER. He came out the next day and fixed it promptly, charged a fair amount, and gave me the documentation to provide to the insurance commission to fight the warranty company.

Joe was recommended by a family member. On his initial visit for a quote, he was very polite and suggested some things we had not thought of. He was the only one of 4 contractors to return a quote the next day. Even though the quote was high, we went with him because we thought he would get it done quickly. He was here a total of 5 different days spread out over 2 weeks. The holidays had a lot to do with that, and some rain delayed him a bit also. He did excellent work electrically, but he did leave several holes in the walls which he never attempted to repair. I really don't know if other electricians repair the damage necessary to pull wires in the walls. A few times, we had to remind him of what we agreed to or to have him re-do something which looked a bit shabby. But in the end, we got the job done and everything works as it should. His apprentice, Brandon, is a very shy young man who hardly ever spoke, and seems to be a beginner at the trade.
