At first everything went fine. Carlos and his colleague did a great job removing old sod that had turned to weeds, installing a new irrigation system, and putting new sod down. He tore down our old cyclone fence and put in a new wood structure. He was going to come back a few months later after it warmed up to do some planting. He left a mess (large rocks in my empty raised beds, pieces of the cyclone fence burried in the dirt, weeding incomplete, water feature not done), and stopped returning our calls to come back to clean up and finish the job.

I hired JC Landscape to do a number of jobs, including pruning multiple fruit trees in my backyard and continued maintenance on my lawn for a summer. He did fine with the fruit trees. I paid them $1,000 for him to help me with erosion control on a steep slope in my yard. I was open to having him provide professional advice as to how to address erosion, and he recommended plant 40 plants along the slope that were planted in late fall last year. I chose native plants that are known for being good for erosion control. The plants looked great at first, but over the summer the plants slowly died and a lot of the soil they used to plants fell down the hillside. I was watering about every 2 weeks but for some reason the plants still didn't survive. I asked the owner about this, and he suggested I water more often (he had never given me instructions for how to care for the plants). Meanwhile the company came all summer to help weed the slope area and take care of the rest of the yard. They never suggested I change anything about the way I was maintaining the plants or suggested there was something I could do to save them. Fast forward to my trying to contact this company to understand whether there is some kind of guarantee in their work and requesting to work with them to come to a new solution for the erosion control since obviously their first solution did not work. I emailed at least 4 times and called another 4 times, leaving messages for them to return my call. I never once received a response. It was so frustrating- I'm not sure if this company even exists anymore but if they do they shouldn't. So now I wasted $1,000 to have it literally wash down a hill and this company didn't have the professionalism to help me figure out a new solution or agree to pay back part of the cost I lost with their shoddy work.

JC Landscape did all the yard work for us this summer. It went well!

Workers were prompt and professional, easy to communicate with, followed direction. Jay was very professional, understood what I wanted and conveyed it to his team.

Jay was very responsive to my first inquiry, came right out and gave me a bid. Once we settled on him he was able to start the project right away. His crew was hard working, friendly and very professional. Did exactly what we agreed on for a very fair price. I would absolutely use him again.
