Excellent. Was able to schedule repair in only two days even over Christmas, workman showed up on time and repair was completed same day using minimum needed materials and destruction to complete the repair and looks great.

Great! it is an arch window. The original brick looked like a patchwork job. The bricks replaced are uniform to the rest of the exterior arch windows.

They were excellent. Everything was done in a timely manner. They made sure that we got what we wanted. Everything was done efficiently and professionally. I have a big house and they completed the job in 2 days.

We were referred to this company by a friend who was doing some exterior trim repairs on our home and noticed a rough spot on the roof of a home we had just purchased.  Joe Taylor contacted me and scheduled a roof inspection on our home.  Most people don't expect to get a good report on their roof and to be told that there are no repairs needed, but that is exactly what Joe's inspector did.  We were pleased not only with the results of the inspection but in the honesty, professionalism, and friendliness of the inspector.  If we need a roof in the future, we would definitely contact this company for an estimate.  Thank you Joe! <br />

The job went very well.  Joe Taylor and everyone else I dealt with on this project were thorough and professional.  The finished product looks great and all the contractors did a great job of cleaning up.

Was very impressed with Joe's concern on finding a balance in regard to quality of materials versus cost. "Best bang for the buck." For the most part, I knew what I wanted and was willing to pay for a slightly higher grade of material, but appreciated Joe's suggestions on where money could be saved. I proposed creating a custom Dutch front door, something I've always wanted. He had experience with custom exterior doors, but not a Dutch variety (where the top half opens independently of the bottom). We both did research. I submitted design ideas as well as art glass panels I found online and he was able to have a door created that I am very pleased with. The new interior room was above the kitchen. They were very aware that we still needed to function in the house and took pains to be neat and leave the house each day in a manner that made it as usable as possible for us. Overall the work was excellent, but took longer than expected...but fortunately, I didn't have a set timetable. (For those that have pets, these are definitely animal people...and my dogs miss the company.)

I first hired Joe's company for minor roofing repair on a rental property. He came out, gave me an estimate, and sent someone to do the job all in the same day. So I asked Joe for an estimate to repair the chimney at my residence where it had begun to leak. The original chimney (25yo) needed to be rebuilt and resided. Because of the height of the chimney and pitch of the roof, this was not a typical job. I thought his estimate was fair, and once the job was scheduled, his two men did the whole job in a day. I asked for a couple of additional repairs that were outside the original estimate, but they proved to be minor so he charged me according to the original estimate. The work was done fast and with good quality.

I contacted J.D. Taylor right after New Years in the first week of 2012 and in a couple of days he returned my call and made an appointment to look at the job and make an estimate. He was thorough in measurements and taking notes as we talked about what I wanted to have done. Later he sent me the estimate with bullet points that he had captured on the details. Included in the task was pouring a concrete floor into what had been a dirt floor and this was done within the confines of the structure. Sections of the wood siding that were in bad shape were replaced and repairs with bondo were done for a few areas that needed minor patching. The non-functioning garage door was replaced with an electric garage door with electronic garage key, and the door opening on the side was fitted with a standard door frame and door with lock. The paint on the outside of the garage was prepared and coated with primer and top coat. One of the details that did not get captured in the notes (and that I did not pay attention to until I did not see it at job completion) was for the addition of a workbench at the end of the garage. Mr. Taylor had his workman come out and add this the next week and only billed me $210 for this work (this is included in the $6160). <br /> (In addition and not included in the $6160, Mr. Taylor contacted an electrical contractor he often works with and that company took care of supplying new wire for a dedicated 20 amp service from the outside house fuse box to the garage.) <br /> I am pleased with the thoroughness, honesty and attention to detail that this contractor displayed. I am quite pleased with the quality of my new garage and would in the future hire him again.

J D Taylor Contracting Company showed up promptly for the work. They informed us ahead of time whenever they were not able to make it because of the storm we had at that time. They were professional. They answered all our questions. They gave us information on where to look for the shower head and plumbing materials. Their price was reasonable. There was one small problem and they came back and redid it. We were pleased with their service. They also have a website where one could go and look at projects they have done for others. The bathroom renovation is complete now and it looks good. Their response to doing what needed to be done was excellent. We would use them again in the future if required.

I recommend him highly. I was very pleased with him. He could not make it one day and he kept me informed. He was very good.

We had a "contractor" who basically tore up the kitchen and messed up the cabinets in about four days before we asked him to leave. He came each day and stated what he was going to do and proceeded not to do it. My husband and I were really upset over the experience. I joined Angie's list that morning, Friday. My husband started calling a list of about 5 names. Joe Taylor was able to come that afternoon and we were impressed with his knowledge of what needed to be done to get us back on track. He returned on Sunday afternoon with a detailed estimate of the work that needed to be done. He and his people were here on Monday morning and worked non stop for 2 and a half weeks to get the project finished. The workers were excellent and careful to clean and keep the house as neat as possible.

JD's biggest advantage, though, was his ability to work with my insurance agency calling them directly requesting adjustments to the original estimates that were incomplete like downspouts were 4-5", not 3.5" as initially allowed. Three of the large windows required custom screens, since the windows are double-hung, another required insurance adjustment. JD's crews appeared as scheduled, were all professional, and completed the work on time. JD truly provides one-stop shopping, and he treats your house as if it were his own. I highly reommend him.

We needed storage right away. Joe got it started fast. His framer was quick and did great work. Wonderful detail. Just a great building!

It went great most the time. This is the first time I have hired someone to remodel a room. It took awhile, but it was worth it. If something went wrong, it was fixed right away. Calls were always answered. Joe was very easy to work with. The tile and the custom vanity are beautiful! I had a date I needed the job done and he worked hard to make it happen. The people he had work in my home were very polite and hard working.

We are extremely happy with our new addition. The crew J D Taylor had was amazing and the few subcontractors he hired out to do some electrical work and pouring the concrete were just as good. He literally handled everything, which is exactly what we were hoping for in a contractor. When he left, there was absolutely nothing we needed to do but move our stuff in. He does such great work. There is sometimes a delay in getting the job started, but believe me he is well worth getting put on the waiting list.
