J&E Automotive

I've been there before.  They do what they were going to do and I don't ever feel like they're trying to up sell me or anything.  He's the lead guy.  He's very thorough.  He's practical; he doesn't sell you stuff you don't need.

The person who answered the phones was terrible.  She never communicated until the last minute.  She told us the car would be ready by noon but never called to advise it was pushed back due to a problem with their lift.  I asked her for a new estimated time for pick up because of our work schedule etc.  She said she would call me back once she got back to the office and found out more about it, but never did.  We called back again about 3 and she said she'd call us when it was ready.  She called us at 5:08 to tell us it was ready but that they closed at 6:00.  We live at 81st and Mingo and to travel all the way to 6th and Lewis in 5:00 traffic...no way.  She didn't say she'd wait for us to get there, basically we better get there or do without our car for another night.  We picked this place based on all the reviews and that their website.   It certainly wasn't the closest to us.  Then the car's airconditioning went out 2 days later.  We took the car in for over heating and no airconditioning.  Only to return it 2 days later for another $283 to fix.  In my opinion they should have fixed and diagnosed everything over the 2 days they had our car. <br />

We had a Chrysler Cirrus that kept overheating and had been sitting for over 2 years. He got the car actually running pretty well again. We had to wait for a part for quite a while due to acts of God out of anyone's control, but once the part was sourced locally he did the work and reduced the price from the original estimate for the inconvenient wait even though, as I said before, it was due to mother nature. I have brought my other cars to Josh because he does fantastic work for an affordable price. He treats me, a female, better than any other mechanic I've ever talked to. He is a very intelligent person who is a good listener and communicates the issues clearly. I feel the need to specifically tell readers about his intelligence because so many times I've encountered mechanics who just do what you tell them to do regardless of any other problem. Josh is not like this. If he detects another issue, or has good reason to believe the issue you brought to him is actually something else, he will let you know immediately. <br />

I was originally introduced to J & E Automotive through another customer.  It is the first time I have had someone explain the issues and also help me prioritize the items that need to be fixed. I would not take my car anywhere else. The hourly rate is very reasonable, especially for the service provided.  I have paid a lot more per hour and did not receive the level a quality that Josh provides. <br />

They were good.  They did a nice job and it cost what they said it will cost.  They did it in a timely manner.

Great experience from the first phone call.

You can take any kind of car, motorcycle, or boat to J&E Automotive and they will fix it.  I will continue to use them.  I will give them an "A" on everything.

I trust J&E Automotive with all my cars. they are really good at what they do, but mainly they do great collector car work. the prices are very affordable. i will use them again in the future.

They are honest, fair, and they know what they are doing...with all of my projects..!
