Jeffress Stone

The work went well. I think Jeffress is fairly new to the "Big Deal" part of Angie's list so there was a fair amount of confusion throughout the entire transaction, I'm guessing that will get better with time.

They have not set a time to come and have not done the work.  It has been hard getting in contact with them. I have talked to them a couple of times but they have not done the work. The price that I paid for what I was supposed to have done is good. I contacted them before I purchased to find out about their service. The representative was nice on the phone and maybe it was an email and I went ahead and made the purchase. He told me if I purchase it, they would honor it until the fall because I was not ready to have it done yet. I tried to contact them a couple of times to ask questions. I left messages and did not get responses. I emailed and someone called me back. The gentleman said he was out in his car and he would call me back when he got in the office for someone to come out and design and sketch out the design the counter to see how much counter top that I would need and he never called.

Greg came to our house to make a template of our counter top so they could make the new top fit exactly in place. We had several scheduling issues because my wife and I were going on vacation, but Dave worked with us to meet our needs. When the day came to install the counter top Dave and his helper arrived right on time and the job was done promptly. The new top looks great and fits perfectly. I would definitely use Jeffress Stone again.

For several years, we’ve been planning to replace our kitchen counters. When Angie’s List promoted a deal offered by Jeffress Stone, we inquired whether this was the deal we’d been looking for. And it really turned out to be, from quality of the stone to craftsmanship to value. First, Jeffress sent us photos of the stones included in the deal. When we realized we couldn’t make a decision based solely on photographs, Jeffress arranged for us to visit their warehouse, where we were treated graciously. But we found something we liked much more than the samples, and feared that the up-sell would bust the deal. But the added cost proved to be reasonable and fair. Both direct contacts were professional and timely. Gary arrived a few minutes early to make measurements and the template, and that process took nearly two hours. As a result, the finished stone fit perfectly. Similarly, the installation crew arrived a few minutes early, and the owner, Dave, followed close on their heels. He was present throughout the entire installation. We were especially impressed by the care with which the crew mixed caulk to match our cabinets exactly for one tricky seam. The crew took care to clean up when the job was done and to make sure we were satisfied with the installation. We’ve received several compliments on the new look in our kitchen and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jeffress Stone.

It seemed like such a difficult job and they did a great job! My husband and I were very pleased. They made the repair work seem effortless. There were no problems! Definitely 5 stars!

Communication was excellent throughout the process. Jeffress had a reasonable price for their services. And ordering was simplified by the fact that they had a fairly complete package price, which unexpectedly included side splashes in addition to the backsplash. Everything went well with the installation. Steve and Matt did a professional job. They worked methodically and carefully. They were even up to the challenges of removing the old countertops and dealing with a frozen shut-off valve. The new St. Cecilia granite tops coordinate well with the existing colors in both bathrooms. Jeffress has a high quality product and we would definitely use their company again. They are highly recommended.

We had checked out the people our friends recommended, researched the net like crazy and after looking at Angie's list, Jeffress Stone popped up with great recommendations, so we called. Dave, the owner answered and he came over, gave us an idea of the price and showed samples. Immediately after chatting with him, we thought he was the right one. And after further estimates confirmed, he was the right person for the job. He was personable, reasonable and professional and gave great advice deciding between granite and other finishes. He really knows his stuff - been in the business a good while. Can't say enough good about the results, his company which included his son and some other well chosen individuals. Dave does a lot of the hands-on work and its obvious he and his employees really have pride in their workmanship. They finished a week earlier than expected. Highly recommend them!!

Everything went smoothly and was a positive experience. There was a good variety of stones at the business sight and we took pictures of the stones to give us a couple days to make up our mind. We then went back a second time to look at the stones and confirm our decision. Both times, we received friendly greetings and no pressure to quickly make up our minds. We were told that it would take about two weeks to cut and polish the stone, but we were pleasantly surprised to find it completed within a week. Except for the face to face meetings, most of our communication occurred via email.

We first drove down to Jefress' yard and selected the granite with the help of Greg and Dave. They helped us select a nice piece at a reasonable price. They arranged to come up and measure the old countertop space and they removed and disposed of the old countertop. Two weeks later they arrived with the new top and installed it in one morning. It looks great! They are terrific folks to work with. <br />

Company understood exactly what was needed and confirmed service by asking me to send pictures of the project. Professional arrived promptly with all materials and equipment needed. Bathroom worked on was well protected so that any dust did not reach other areas of the house. Work began on time and continued throughout the day with only stopping for very short lunch. Periodically areas completed were shown to client to confirm work being done was on target. Room was left swept clean. Marble vanity perfect shine, like new. Client very pleased. Greg and company wonderful to work with, they understand granite and marble.

The process with Jeffress Stone went extremely well. We had the unfortunate experience of purchasing our granite countertops from another company. The 2 seams in the black stone looked terrible (very wide gaps, filled in with dark gray epoxy and rough). The original company returned to repair, but the seams still looked terrible, and the company stated that was the way the seams should look and there was nothing else they could do. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> After searching for a skilled craftsman to repair, we contacted Jeffress Stone and explained our dilemma. Dave Schwartz said the seams could be repaired and sent Greg for the job. Greg was on time, efficient, skilled and our seams look terrific! Greg removed the old epoxy and refilled with the appropriate mix of colors for the seams. He then re-sanded and polished the seams so that they are smooth and virtually invisible. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> I would recommend Jeffress Stone for new countertop installation, as well as countertop repairs. Our only regret is that we didn't puchase our new countertops from them originally!
