Jeff and Shelly great to work with and did a fantastic job. But, when it was time to close out the permit and get a final inspection with the City of Plantation I discovered that Jeff's liability insurance had expired, so a final inspection could not be ordered. I've tried in vain for several months to reach them but there has no response to email or text messages. All I need is a copy of the current liability insurance. So if Jeff or Shelly is reading this please either get me a copy of the current liability insurance face sheet or submit it to the City of Plantation. I'm told that none of your active permits can be closed until the city has proof of insurance on file.

Jeff and Shelly were fantastic. They followed up on the difficult Weston permit process and performed the required work on time and for the agreed upon price. The workers showed up exactly when they were supposed to, worked quickly and cleaned up when finished. Everything is level, plumb and the posts secure in 24” of concrete. A pleasure to watch this fence go up.

I couldn't be more pleased with Jeff, his staff and with my fence. The office scheduled a time for Jeff to give me an estimate. Jeff arrived promptly, measured for the job, drew a layout and provided an estimate on the same day. Jeff checked back a couple days later for my decision. I wanted to work with my neighbor so their gate would line up with my new fence. Jeff came back to talk to my neighbor as well, not knowing if my neighbor would purchase a new gate. In the end, he did not but the job foreman also worked with the neighbor so everything lined up in case he later decided to replace his gate to match my fence. The wood fence was gone in 1/2 day, most of the new post holes were dug and some set on the first day. Took a couple days more to finish all three sides and two gates. All debris was removed and dirt around the bottom of the fence evened out. The very pleasant office also kept in contact for start dates and kept me informed of utility line marking.

I cannot recommend Jeff enough. I had my fence replaced after the hurricane by a company that claimed I did not need a permit because it was a replacement, not a new fence. I called Jeff after the city issued a violation. Without any compensation, Jeff and Shelley helped me go through the permit process with the city and attended my violation hearing with me. Once the permit was straightened out Jeff had my fence up to code in two days. Not only does this company do great work, they are the kind and generous with their time. Jeff and Shelley are the best!

Shelly was awesome! She quoted an extremely fair price and scheduled my work as quickly as was possible. Ronald did my work. He was excellent! He showed up promptly, worked efficiently, nonstop and always cleaned up. My fence looked brand new. This company is a dream to work with. I’ll use them again and I recommend them to everyone. You won’t regret it.

Service not done, when they finally called they said they didn’t service my area, called Angie’s list they said it was 12 miles from my house! They lady there said she refund my money, have never saw any of it back! Angie’s list no help either, they said it was beyond 30 days

Jeff and Shelley were great to work with. They were responsive, professional and provided excellent guidance throughout the process. The fence is amazing! Even the City Inspector was impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. The City Inspector said he wished he had a fence this nice! The fence is perfectly straight, the top is beautifully level with the terrain and it is incredibly sturdy. The Gates are another impressive with heavy duty hinges, latches, spring and steel braced frame. The gates open / close and latch perfectly and feel very light from being so well hung. The installation team was very neat, respected the landscape, worked very quickly and did an impressive cleanup. I would hire Jeff again and will recommend him to anyone that I learn needs a fence.

They did an amazing job. Jeff was one of the few fencing companies that even bothered to respond to inquires after Hurricane Irma caused so many fences to be damaged. It took a while to finally have the repair done, but that was due to materials shortage and being super busy. The new section looks great.

I called 6 of the A rated fence companies on Angie's list and Shelley Kohn from Jeff the Fence Guy was the only one that returned my call. Jeff came out the next day and gave me a fair priced contract. I signed it the next day, scanned it, emailed it to Shelley and dropped the initial payment in the mail. Jeff called that day to schedule the replacement of the fence late the following week. He showed up on time and completed the removal of the old fence and the installation of 220 feet of a new wood fence over a 3 day period exactly as planned. I would highly recommend Jeff the Fence Guy for your fencing requirement.

The job was delayed few months due to Hurricane Irma and overbooking for their company. For as much as it is understandable that several repair jobs came up unexpected, I would have appreciated a more direct response. The installation is well done, a professional job, even if (once again) with better communication from their part, it would have been done better. One section of the yard is sunken by a couple of feet, and I would have wanted a leveled installation to make it look better, it would have been easy to 'cover' the lower exposed part, and still make the fence look straight. Overall, they are a good company, but definitively lack in 'people skills'. Jeff is definitively a fence guy - just don't mistake him for a polished business man.

"[Member Name Removed], Thank you for the review. Yes, the storm did tremendous damage to Broward County and put us into “Emergancy” fencing repair, especially with livestock issues in Davie. This did push all contracts, non-emergency back, thank you for understanding. Part of you being pushed back was also your city and it’s permitting process as they too were backed up because of hurricane Irma. To address the “sunken” couple of feet of fencing, as explained to you, this is the grade of your yard, which couldn’t be changed without a major cost. We communicated as much as needed, Permit status, underground located called and scheduled date. Unfortunately due to the storm, and not losing any previously built fences due to wind, we are a busy company, but not “overbooked”. We were proactive after Irma and cut our service area down to 6 cities in Broward, pre Irma we serviced all of Broward County. Jeff and his staff were great! Before Hurricane Irma hit South Florida we had contacted Jeff, received a quote, hired them and started the permit process. After Hurricane Irma, I am sure you can imagine, Jeff the Fence Guy got enormously busy. Jeff now had more work than he knew what to do with, and I am sure, much more lucrative jobs. Even though it cost him time and money, Jeff honored his contract to install our 40 feet of fence. This speaks volumes to Jeff and his integrity. I would recommend Jeff the fence guy to anyone. I also have to commend Shelley. She is always professional and personal, we ALWAYS received a reply to our messages, and she knows how to get the permits done! But don't call him unless you live in western Broward County. Thank you both Jeff and Shelley!

Very well. The quality of the fence and workmanship is excellent. Jeff communicated with us every step of the way through the process. The staff that came out were excellent keeping the materials and debris neatly stacked and until removed. They cleaned up the yard as if they were never there.

Jeff explained our options for putting up new fencing without taking down a very large tree that borders the property line and would prevent a normal installation. He then pushed the existing fence to an upright position, and said that it was unnecessary to spend any money on it at all at this time. He was honest, knowledgeable, and very kind! We will definitely call him again and strongly recommend him to anyone who needs fencing.
