Excellent work. Completed the hook up in one day, and finished leveling the ground the next morning.

Never thought I'd be "gushy" over a plumbing service, but It went fantastic. Terry returned my call immediately, and the next day (a Saturday) drove over to my house to take a look at the pipes. Terry returned Monday morning to do the repair. Extremely pleasant. Very neat with his work, and he took the initiative to install an access panel door where he had to cut the back of my cabinet so that the resulting look is professional). His price was quite fair and matched what he had estimated when he came to the house on Saturday (I was prepared to hear much worse news--its an older house and sometimes you don't know what you are getting into until you open up a wall further.). Not only did he take care of my pipe so I can use my kitchen again, but he snaked my tub drain and checked out two other plumbing problems I asked him to look at while he was here. From his responses to my questions, I felt in great hands -- that he was not going to charge me for work that didn't need to be done, and that the work he did would be done right. I know who I will call in the future for any plumbing problem, and I highly recommend his services.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with our entire experience with Terry Walter of J. Ellrott. He quickly investigated the sewer backup problem, determined the cause and spent time patiently answering our questions to determine the most cost-effective solution. He then scheduled and completed our job in a timely manner. The scope of work was clearly defined and the cost was good and fair. We were also very impressed how they paid attention to detail. They spent time properly planning their work, planned their piping routes to avoid all conflicts and ensured proper access to other existing equipment (e.g. sump pump, etc). They kept all work areas protected and clean. They even sequenced their work, even stayed late, to ensure sewer service so we could sleep in our house each night.

Excellent service, good price, quality work, attention to detail, CLEAN, good layout, limited service downtime, professional and courteous: all the things you look for in a contractor, but rarely find. I cant say enough and would hire and/or recommend them for similar work in a heartbeat.

Seemingly hopeless situation -- rented snake EXTREMELY stuck in my sewer line, creating a blockage and causing a backup. Terry quickly worked me into his schedule and was out to assess the situation. Initially, excavation seemed the only option. But somehow, Terry managed to dislodge the snake and it was removed from the line. He then inspected the line and jetted out the roots that had infiltrated it.

I can't say enough about this company. I had another plumber out a week earlier that wasn't interested after seeing the gravity of the situation. Terry was genuinely concerned and exhausted every option to find a solution. He could've easily just booked me for a costly excavation.

I will recommend J. Ellrott to anyone needing sewer service. They were very friendly and accommodating and seemed to genuinely value my best interest over a big payday. The price was very reasonable for what they did for me. They saved my neck.

They did an excellent job with both projects. They were great to work with. John and Terry as well the other members of
their crew are very professional and where they focused on the quality of their
work and my satisfaction with their work.
They welcome customer interaction where I kept bugging them with
questions during both projects. I have
contracted many contractors for various types of work and they were the most
pleasurable contractor I have ever hired.
I have contracted them for other work at my own house due to my recent
experience with them.
I found J. Ellrott on Angie's List and called them to set up an appointment. Their phone was answered by a receptionist who told me that Terry would call me back that evening. As promised, he called me and was flexible with the timing of coming by to deal with the problem. We scheduled at my convenience in the morning. At the time of the appointment,
Terry showed up five minutes early and explained exactly how he'd proceed. This company has state-of-the-art equipment, that was able to provide a very clear video of the interior of the drainage pipe. This camera revealed that my pipe was filled with water at about the 40 foot point of its 65 foot length. He identified (and showed me) the tree roots which were causing the blockage. He then utilized a snaking/cutting device, similar to what I've seen in the past, but also used a high-pressure water jet to
eliminate as much of the blockage as was possible. I was happy when the water began to flow through, but Terry was not yet satisfied. He elected to attack the blockage from both its point of origin, at my foundation wall, and also from the other end, at the point of the town's sewer. When he was done, the water was freely flowing, and its muddy tone was entirely clear.
Aside from fixing the problem, Terry was very personable, clearly enjoyed explaining the work he was doing, and took pride in his family's business, which had his grandfather's name on his truck. He was meticulous with detail and patient with my multiple questions. When I asked him if I should consider replacing the pipe, he discouraged it and explained the cost-effectiveness of
having the pipe inspected and cleared on an annual basis. He told me that his company would put my name on a mailing list, to remind me to do so. To top it off, on the following day, Terry e-mailed a thorough report of the work done, complete with photos of the blockage before, during and after the problem was detected and the fix was executed.
I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but this company was exemplary and well worthy of my expressed appreciation. Needless to say, I highly recommend them.

For the estimate, came out discussed what would be done. He mailed us the proposal. Any questions we had about it were answered. When we said we'd us him, he scheduled us for the next week, but we told him we were not available, so he worked around our schedule.
It is a family run business. Very friendly. Will explain all of the work being done. We did ask how long it would take, response: each job varies depending on what is discovered. That may sound vague, but throughout it, they were focused on the digging. Our soil is not really "soil" it's mostly sand mixed with dirt (the whole town is). With it being dry, can easily cave in.
The whole job took 4 hours.
Professional. They arrived on time, went straight to work and made me a DVD of what they did. Started with the main pipe inside, it was clear. Went to the piping that leads to the city sewer and there it was, two large grease balls and roots from the two trees outside. Movie showed how they broke up the grease balls with their jet and then the cutting of the tree roots in the pipe.
Runs clear now!. They gave me several options concerning the tree roots and used markers to show me the direction the pipe takes when it leaves the house. When i replace the pipes I will be calling them.
