I have wasted $3000 by hiring Jennelle's Paving from Angie's List. After only 9 months, parts of my new driveway are sinking and i have large cracks in the 2" of new asphalt that was put on my driveway. Jennelle's aft er 5 calls asking them to come by to look at the problem, still has not done so. They have promised to come by to look at it several times. They have never shown up or called me back to reschedule. I have had to call them back every time they failed to show up, but all I get is another failed promise to come out and inspect the work. The cracks are now longer and wider than the ones that were in my 30 year old driveway to start with. I was assured by Jennelle's Paving that having my existing driveway top coated with asphalt would solve my problems of cracking and would last 15 years or more. They also cut out all the old asphalt around my sidewalk and added new asphalt without putting down new base material for support. I asked them about this, and I was told this was not needed, as the old driveway cracks were caused by the sealer cracking and not by a lack of support under the asphalt. Now, the portion they cut out is full of cracks and has sunken down below the level of the rest of the driveway. We are afraid to park on it as it might cause more sinking and cracking. Rain water now runs down the driveway downhill so fast that it pools up against my house foundation. Even the larger part of the drive that was not cut out has cracks that are getting wider and longer as time passes. Jennelle's has cost me $3000 and a ruined driveway that is continuing to deteriorate. It is clear that Jennelle's Paving either does not know or care about the paving they are doing, as the work they did for me is defective and after repeated calls, they are apparently not interested in rectifying the situation. I used Angie's List to prevent this type of situation from occurring, but it has anyway, causing me to lose some confidence in using Angie's List in the future. I hope this is just an aberration, and that Angie"s List will be able to help me resolve this issue and reach a workable solution.

Good experience! They were timely and did a good job! The only issue that I had, is they got hydraulic fuel in the street.

Completely professional. While removing the old pavement, found an area that was soft, excavated the soft area, and added about 10 inches of extra gravel before starting new pavement. Extra work done not included in the contract was adding gravel and asphalt to an area about 4 feet by 20 feet in front of the mailbox. <br />

Contacted Jenelle and he informed me it would be 3-4 days before he could come out. When he did, he gave me a date range to complete the work which he did. The work was superb.

The estimate was given in a timely fashion. I was told in detail how the job would be performed and was asked about and specific needs I wanted. The job was done while I was out of town and I did not worry a second that it would not be perfect. I was not disappointed! <br />

Great. Everything was done as described. The owner did the estimate and he was very efficient. <br />

Jennelle's sealed a very long and steep driveway. They were very professional and considerate. They are not the least expensive around, but their work is top quality. Strongly recommended. They asphalted a driveway for me about 15 years ago and it's still looking good.

We were particularly happy with the thoughtfulness and responsiveness of those involved during the job. The reason for not giving two A's where there are B's above is because of an unfortunate incident at the time payment was made. A flip remark was made on our part which on hindsight was a mistake, so the fault lies partly with us. The remark, however, triggered an outburst of anger on the part of the person from Jennelle which was distressing and is still painful to think about, especially as no offense was intended. Obviously, that person has issues that were touched. We regret that this happened and still highly recommend the company and its work. Just be careful and respectful in all you say. <br /> As for the story from start to finish, it's just a normal job story, with good communications and friendly interactions all the way through with the one exception.

Did not respond to the first two messages left on answering machine for a request for estimate. Then, when a neighbor used the service and said to mention his name, they called back right away. Work performed promptly as promised. Great quality except for the workers buried an outdoor electrical cord in the newly paved area. We had to cut the ends of it and leave it under the pavement. It was disappointing, but not enough to complain to the company about. Not the most cost effective contractor, but generally responsive when they do call you back. Can be difficult to get a hold of initially.

Was the highest priced of the 3 estimates, but put the most asphalt [4 inches]. The whole crew was professional and the job was on time and for the estimated cost even though they did some extra area.

Excellent Job! Fast Service! I would hire this company again to seal my driveway. They even kept the seal off of my retaining wall next to the driveway.
