I had a great experience with Michael and Jersey Shore Handy Heroes ! He went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and made sure everything was done exactly the way I wanted. I especially appreciated how respectful he was of my home—he even had protective coverings for his shoes so they never touched my floors. He was professional, courteous, and very mindful of keeping everything clean. He also cleaned up thoroughly after finishing the job, which I really appreciated.
It’s clear that he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his customers and their homes. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for someone reliable, respectful, and detail-oriented!

Handyman for Multiple Small Projects
I hired Michael, doing business as Jersey Shore Handy Heroes LLC, for painting, carpet removal, vinyl plank flooring, light fixtures, interior doors, a kitchen fan, and a small shelf installation. We signed a contract on September 16, 2025, paid $10,000 to begin the project, and were told the work would take approximately 7?10 days. In my experience, the project was not completed within that timeframe. After several months, major items remained unfinished, including flooring, doors, closet hardware, and other agreed-upon work. Some painting was incomplete or, in my opinion, poorly finished, and materials and equipment were left behind at the property. We ultimately had to complete or hire others to complete much of the remaining work ourselves, including carpet removal, flooring, electrical work, painting, and door installation. I also incurred additional inconvenience and expenses related to storing our belongings while the project remained unfinished. I would NOT HIRE AGAIN.

"Susan, your review does not accurately represent the work we performed or the condition of the property when these photographs were taken. The pictures were taken during the first few days of painting, while the work was still in progress. At that stage, the walls still required a second coat, the trim areas had not been fully cut in, and the baseboards had not yet received their final coat. The paint shown on the bathroom tile was water-based and would have been removed during our final cleanup. Because the condominium was vacant and unoccupied, a complete cleaning was scheduled for the final stage of the project, as is our standard practice. We have always left our completed job sites thoroughly and professionally cleaned. Your review also fails to mention that approximately $4,000 in requested payments remained unpaid. In addition, we invested substantially more labor than originally estimated because of extensive plaster cracks, damaged wall surfaces, and deteriorated baseboard trim. We repaired and restored these areas to like-new condition, absorbing approximately $3,000 in additional labor costs without charging you. For these reasons, your review is materially false, misleading, and based on photographs of unfinished work presented as though they showed the completed project. This is the first and only rating below five stars in our company?s history, and we strongly dispute its accuracy and fairness."

Michael has done what he said he was going to do, which isn't always true of "handymen". He did a meticulous job installing our front door and painting it. He is not satisfied until the job is perfect. He is friendly to boot!

We used Jersey Shore Handy Heroes for a complete interior home rejuvenation and the results are spectacular. Don’t let the “handyman” designation fool you. Michael did everything from repairing and painting our walls, ceilings and trim to repairing our custom bookcase woodworking. His work was meticulous! We were stuck on colors for paint and trim, but Michael is a true design expert, helping with selection of paint colors, carpet, furniture, light fixtures and accessories, all within our budget. He also handled our electrical, plumbing and mechanical needs. We highly recommend Michael at Jersey Shore Handy Heroes.

Michael was professional, thorough,and a hard worker. It was gratifying to have Michael work on our house projects with the same standard of perfection that we adhere to. I wish I could give more than five stars. My husband and I are very pleased with the service. Michael came within the window of time he gave us. He installed the first fan and that’s when we realized it didn’t work. Michael moved onto the second fan while I ran out to Lowe’s to purchase another fan. Once the second fan was up and running, he went back and removed the first fan and installed the new one I had purchased. Michael wrapped up the broken one for us to return. Michael went above and beyond for us and we truly appreciated it. He was friendly, tidy (he took all of the trash from the three ceiling fan boxes) and knowledgeable. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Michael again or recommend him to our neighbors.

FANTASTIC!! Wish I could give more than five stars. Michael went above and beyond. We initially bought three ceiling fans to be installed and the first one…after it was installed did not work. I ran back to Lowe’s to buy a fourth fan and Michael moved on to the second ceiling fan by the time I got back he was able to take the first one down that didn’t work and install the new one I bought. Michael didn’t leave until we understood how to run the remotes. Michael was friendly. He arrived in the time window he specified. Tidy (he took away all of the garbage from the boxes). He stayed longer than expected because of the broken fan. My husband and I were very impressed! I would not hesitate to hire Michael again.
