"It was a pleasure working on your projects and I truly hope you enjoy every inch of the completed project!"
"We took the [Member name removed] dated kitchen and opened the floor plan to make the area to have a welcoming feel with dark rich cabinets, complemented by a lighter floor with contrasting counter top and back splash. As far as kitchens go this one was a challenge due to structural loads however Jewel Constructions team was able to secure all structure loads and continue on to complete this beautiful project."
"[member name removed] had purchased a Angies List kitchen deal which included contractor grade materials, [member name removed]'s Kitchen was larger in size and the materials chosen by the client was a upgrade on his part from cabinets to tile to counter top selections which increased the cost to the project. Unfortunately I had a carpenter onsite whom no longer works for us hanging his cabinets. I had been onsite performing my regular inspections and found that he hung the cabinets without installing the crown at the cabinets. So I had pulled him of the project and placed a different carpenter on this project and we completed it. Unfortunate it had delayed the project by 2 days. I had dealt with the project in a professional and responsible manor. The kitchen is a beautiful finished product."
"The work was performed in a small bathroom. Through the different phases of construction only one trade could work in this area at a time. At certain phases only so much work could be completed before moving on to the next phase. i.e. plaster work would had to dry before they could proceed to the next phase such as tile and painting. Client was informed to choose a specific size of vanity base cabinet and she order the cabinet. She had chosen vanity base cabinet with drawers, by code it was too large of a cabinet therefore the size of the cabinet was changed but the style and colors remained the same."
"Jewel Construction had opened up the existing walls to insulate, alter electrical, steam heat lines and install drywall. In addition we had elevated the finish floor to the threshold to make the flow to the room more at ease. We had shown up daily to perform the work as described per our contract. The price had increased because the client was not happy with the wall color that they had chose for us to apply to the walls. Jewel Construction had issued a change order for us to apply 2 more coats of paint plus primer once the client had decided on an alternate color. The price would have never grown if that was not a decision was made by the client. In addition the client had requested for us to bid on a garage to be constructed the following year. So I'm confused to if the client wasn't happy with jewel Construction then why ask us to come back to work?"
"Jewel Construction had started of with an estimate to the client as they requested. Jewel Construction had informed the client that after the estimate was issued then we would look and review the big deal that was purchased to compare the estimate for the work they wanted to be performed (which was larger then the big deal purchase) to see how we can make the project work for them for what they wanted within the deal purchased. The quantity of aluminum spindles purchased was the volume used minus 12 spindles. Which has been returned to them that very week after the site has been cleaned up. Jewel Construction denies the fact that one of our employees urinated outside as there was a porta jon outside for the crew to use. Jewel Construction would never act in such a manner. And even more so the client never mentioned this to us. and this is the first that I am hearing of this. I take great offense to this and wish for the client to communicate with me / us if this had actually happened so that I could deal with it appropriately not 8 months later. We created a beautiful deck to code with proper specifications. I'm very sorry that the client is not happy with the end result and I have offered my apologies to that and had also offered a discount to any possible future work. As we strive for customer satisfaction."
"It was a true pleasure working with [member name removed] and we hope to work with her again! We appreciate the great news!"
"[other member name removed] our client who is the daughter of [member name removed] contracted Jewel Construction to remodel there 1st floor bathroom. I had assisted [other member name removed] through the design and material purchasing process. During that process [other member name removed] chose to purchase a tub / shower faucet and control and sink faucet through a different route. Once we were given the products to install we were short certain materials (If you purchase items online it may be cheaper but your not given all the materials needed). So we had to purchase the more expensive product through my supplier and overnight it. This had increased the cost to the client due to revists of plumbers, shipping of product, etc.. Jewel Construction did not place a mark up on the product as we wanted to assist the client through this matter. The project turned out great for one exception which is that a junction box for the wirlpool tub had been water logged from over filling the tub. [other member name removed] did not give Jewel Construction the opportunity to care for this matter, she had hired an alternate electrical company and issued us a bill. Since she did not allow us to warrant the project we declined paying the bill. We are very sorry to hear she was unsatisfied and we had contacted her and to discuss such matters so that way we can care for any items. We always strive to make the client happy and to have a beautiful area to live in."
