Gerald and his team are fantastic. We started out with some smaller driveway jobs, and when we saw the very good work they did on that, we hired him to do a major outdoor patio build. One of the best things about Gerald is the creative ideas that he brings to the project. Everything turned out so much better with his input!

Our recent experience with J & G Construction and their representative, Gerald, has left us deeply disappointed and frustrated. In March 2023, we made the unfortunate decision to hire J & G Construction to completely replace our 15-year-old driveway which was deteriorating. At the beginning, Gerald's impressive salesmanship and promises of quality work convinced us to move forward with the project. Initially, the project seemed promising, and we were excited about the prospect of having a new driveway. However, our enthusiasm quickly turned to disappointment when we discovered concern with the final product. The finishing crew's mishap during the final brush finish left our driveway riddled with large divots and uneven concrete right in front of our main entrance. This glaring imperfection significantly marred the appearance of our home. Upon pointing out this issue to Gerald, he acknowledged the problem and assured us that it would be rectified. The following day, Gerald attempted a quick fix that only exacerbated the situation, making the driveway even more unsightly. He promised to return in a few weeks to either resurface the entire driveway or replace the center section as needed. Initially, Gerald exhibited commendable communication, and we had faith that he would honor his commitment. However, our trust in his words eroded as time passed. Despite giving us intermittent glimmers of hope, the promises turned into broken commitments. After nearly six months of waiting and repeated disappointments, Gerald ceased all communication with us. It appears that he has abandoned his promise to rectify the situation, leaving us in a regrettable predicament. We treated Gerald and his team with great respect and gratitude throughout the process, making his unprofessionalism and disregard for us as clients even more disheartening. Gerald's inability to uphold promises and the subsequent lack of integrity are absolutely unacceptable. His failure to deliver on his commitment and to communicate effectively has placed us in an unfortunate and avoidable situation. Given our experience, we strongly caution anyone considering J & G Construction or Gerald for construction projects. Gerald's track record of unprofessional behavior, lack of integrity, and inability to fulfill promises should serve as a clear warning. Spare yourself the frustration and disappointment that we've endured and look elsewhere for your construction needs.

J and G were professional, efficient and courteous throughout the entire process. I am primarily DIY and rarely use contractors for two reasons: 1) I enjoy the work and 2) I have heard so many people talk about the difficulties they encounter while dealing with contractors. Gerald is exemplary in his field. With his 25+ years of experience and operational efficiency I will certainly be calling on J and G again for my concrete needs.

They showed up and wasted no time prepping and getting the area ready. After a few days of rain they were here early and ready to pour. Very professional crew had the concrete down and broomed within a couple of hours. Great customer service, would recommend 5 star!!

Working with J&G Construction was a great experience, from start to finish. Gerald, the owner, responded quickly to our initial inquiry, answered any questions promptly, and kept us updated at every stage of the process. He and his crew always showed up as promised, worked efficiently, and left the site clean at the end of the job. Gerald oversaw everything personally, and made sure we were satisfied with the end result. We are very happy to have found and hired J&G, and would definitely use them again.

Gerald was completely professional. He was out giving us an estimate within a day. The only delay was the weather, but Gerald and his crew knocked it out and made our patio extension look beautiful. Would use him again! Thanks for the great work!

Buyer beware with J&G construction. Gerald talks a good game, is nice and has a very professional crew. The problem however is that J&G construction will cut corners to make more money any way they can. If the cost of a project is negotiated down, J&G construction will find a way to cut corners to make the difference up. When my pad was poured for my addition, J&G let excess concrete build up against my foundation. I asked J&G to remove the excess, which Gerald promised, but it was never done. Cracks formed in the pad almost immediately. I take responsibility for one of the cracks due to some bad advise and laying conduit on instead of under insulation but there are at least three more large cracks and more are forming. The pad was supposed to have a smooth finish but J&G did not take the time to go over the surface nicely and follow up to ensure that the entire surface was smooth. Because of that I now have to paint my concrete instead of just sealing it. Another expense for me. If promises are made it is doubtful that it will actually happen. Again Buyer beware with J&G construction because what is promised is NOT what you will get

I can not say enough good things about Gerald, his crew and the quality of the work they did for me and my neighbors. J&G construction Poured a large concrete pad for an addition that I was doing and they also did my neighbors driveway and the sidewalk for myself and two other neighbors. Gerald and his crew were professional, polite and gave us a quality product. I highly recommend
