Our dryer vent was completely clogged, backing up hot humid air into our laundry room. The vent had not been cleaned in about 6 years. We called JH Cleaning based on a recommendation from a friend. John came to our home within a few days, cleaned our vent and installed another end cap to replace the one that had deteriorated to the point that it fell off. We were happy with the timing and quality of the work, and will, going forward, have John clean our dryer vent more often!!

They were very prompt. When they started inspecting my dryer duct, they told me that we were very lucky we never had a fire. I was shocked at the amount of lint they cleaned out. The duct was completely clogged from end to end. Considering that I often turned the dryer on just before going to bed, I hate to think of what could have happened. Then did a great job and cleaned up before they left. I did a load of laundry after they left and couldn’t believe how efficient my dryer was. I hate to admit that I never had our dryer vent cleaned but I’ll absolutely have it cleaned regularly from now on.

We have all hardwood floors but have a problem with very dusty floors. J H Cleaning did a very good job cleaning the air ducts, vents and returns, so we hope the hardwood floors will not be as dirty as they were. We also had them clean the duct for the dryer and told that should be cleaned annually.

John and his assistant arrived promptly as scheduled and performed a complete, professional cleaning of the dryer vent. These guys know precisely what they do and were very quick and clean. Personable and answered all our questions. They have special brush equipment to clear debris from the vent piping, and then vacuumed it all out, and freed the external sashes. They also replaced and sealed the aluminum connector from the dryer to the wall. They recommend doing dryer vent cleaning each year for efficient operation, fire prevention from lint build up, and lengthening the life of the dryer. They also do heating vent cleaning which they recommend once each 3 years. So we will be back in touch and will have our other trustees in our condo group alerted to the importance of having this done.

It went very well. They showed up on time and went about their work as quietly as possible. They were very respectful of the furniture/paint etc, and cleaned up nicely when they were done. I recommend them without hesitation. Pricing was much higher than I've seen advertised, but was happy to pay it as you know who is coming into your house, rather than someone possibly hired for the day as you might get from a chain. I'm not a price-first shopper - I tend to believe you get what you pay for.

Both John and Josh were pleasant professional and diligent. They explained in detail what they planned to do up front and what to expect after their service. They had some recommendations for additional work and offered me a free quote which was sent via E-Mail. No pressure felt to do the work, just an honest assessment of something I suspected needed attention anyway.
